Called in an order of the St Louis ribs to go.  Delighted to find five lean, meaty ribs in the box, with two sauces on the side.  Texas toast, fine bbq beans and potato salad completed my order - more food than I could even finish for a measly fifteen bucks plus tax. Bonus: lots of wet naps, napkins, and a full set of plastic ware (try eating the beans with your fingers and you'll appreciate their thoroughness).  First rate ribs and service; a great value to boot!!!! Amazing! I got the pick 3 had smoked brisket, smoked chicken, and 1/2 rack baby back ribs .it was all so tender it melted in your mouth. My boyfriend had a smoked bbq pork steak it was about an inch thick and so tender you could mash it with your tongue. Just amazing!!! More...

Good food decent service but the carpeting is utterly filthy. Far too much has been spilled on it and stained it they may clean it all the time but you can see dirt tracks everywhere. The toilets in the ladies room was covered with fecal and blood and no tissue. We were any early lunch customers and I believe that no one had bothered to clean up before opening. More...

This is an amazing bbq place the ribs and pulled pork, chicken, turkey, and of course the ribs are all exceptional. The Mac and cheese and fries are exceptional sides but the beans aren't the best.

I've been to Rib City once and plan on going again! I went for--what else--the ribs, and was very pleased. They were tasty, tender, and all the things you expect from a quality rib. The coconut cream pie I had for dessert was okay, but nothing amazing, however any disappointment I had with that was made up for with the Pecan Pie a dining partner of mine was enjoying and which I picked at extensively. First, it's no big deal finding this place if you are remotely familiar with the Manchester split. It's on the Eastbound side and the last exit on the South side of the street before you get to the 270 exits. It is a huge pain if you have to flip around so pay attention.Now for the important part; the ribs. If you like your ribs to fall off the bone with just some help from gravity, these are the ribs for you. You can practically lift the bones out clean from a rack of ribs and leave a rack of meat. It's the least effort I've had to exert to get 99% of the meat from a rack of ribs in my entire life. They were very flavorful and we will definitely be back.In our group we had ribs, beef, pulled pork for meats, and beans, fries, potato salad, baked potato and cole slaw as sides.The ribs were the highlight of the trip and by itself enough for us to come back. The pulled pork was tasty and the beef the weak spot. While this place makes awesome ribs, we were expecting a more smoky (pink ring) on the meat and it just wasn't there.The beans, fries, and baked potato were the highlights of the sides. I am not a big cole slaw fan so I am biased against all slaws and the potato salad was a little too al dente for me as well. Hot sides, yes, cold sides no will be my rule of thumb here going forward. The garlic toast was Texas toast style bread which I liked. I think they could up their game with a little better bread base, but no one's going for the bread.None of us had room for dessert  but I would like to try some of them as they have a good selection available.Rachel was our server and she was great. Offered us everything under the sun to help us enjoy our experience, but not at all overbearing or missing in action. Showed up with a sixth sense on drinks, to go boxes, etc. and sincerely wanted us to have a good experience.Wednesday night is draft beer night with 25 cent beer (limit 3) per entree purchase. my husband & I found this place after using our Taste Cards (coupon) deck.  If you're unfamiliar with Taste Cards just google them. Anyways, we were in the mood for some BBQ and found them in the taste cards deck so we decided to try them. I'm glad we did because the food quality and service was great. I ordered chicken & my hubby ordered beef. We were blown away! It was delicious! We got so much food for just $20 after saving $10 with Taste Cards. Can't wait to go back for more! More...

Rib city has a national reputation and it is very good as well.  Its biggest drawback is its location on Manchester. You might need gps to find it.  The bbq is surprisingly good for a chain restaurant.  They offer drink specials to attract more customers during the week.  The place doesnt hold a candle to our local BBQ joints but if youre close its worth a shot. Using only Danish ribs, they are fall-off-the-bone-delicious!  Order the one and one-half as they are a bit smaller than traditional ribs.  Staff if great.  Will deliver and cater.  Great job.  Sides are a bit small, so you may have to get the quart for two of you.  Price is also very good for what you get.  I was a big fan of Tony Roma's, but Rib City is now my choice. Amazing!   My sis and I split the Rib & Rib platter.  It was fantastic.  She likes the St. Louis Style and I like baby back and spare ribs.  The baby back was tender, moist, fall of the bone delish.  I ate most of them without sauce although the sweet and spicy sauce is great.  I think the reviewers complaining about the tiny ribs must not know the difference between the two types of ribs.  There is a huge difference!5 stars for the ribs4 for the sides More...

Some of my favorite ribs, went there last night and went to town on a slab in seconds flat.  All of the other  meats I've ordered from here have been pretty good too, as well as the sides.  They have some very good and reasonably priced specials, as well as decent drink specials.  The ribs are smaller than you may be used to, but they are very tender and flavorful.  I know this is a chain but I think these ribs are some of the best in STL.  The biggest problem I've noticed with this place is its terrible location, very hard even for some locals to find. I've been here quite a few times over the last couple years and the food is consistently good.  If I'm in the mood for BBQ, this is my first choice.   The ribs are smoked and tender.  I'm a fan of the sweet sauce.  The pulled pork is actually the item I order again and again.  It is prepared just the way I like it.  I love the onion rings, super buttery corn and the toast. I also recently had the chocolate cake and it was very, very rich!  The service has always been friendly and I would say they go above and beyond.  I'm not a fan of take-out, but gave in one night and ordered from here since my guy was in the mood for take-out. Of course, my dinner (pulled pork) was not included and I was not happy. My guy knew this would be the last time I'd ever agree to take-out since this happens to me almost every time, no matter where I order from. I called and let them know what was missing and to my surprise!  they delivered it to me.  Granted, I was just down the street, but the manager was doing what needed to be done in order to make it right.  I also would never expect them to do this again, but it was nice that it worked out this one time.The biggest challenge is getting to this place.  If you are familiar with the Des Peres/Manchester civil engineering nightmare, then you won't have a problem.  If not, allow time to get lost! I first tried this place at Taste of STL and was quite happy with the ribs. Finally made it over to try the restaurant and the ribs were fantastic. It is in a weird spot. If you are coming from 270 you have to get off on Manchester West and take the U-Turn ramp. We nearly didn't go because the place looked so empty. My sister said to me, with dripping sarcasm  "Oh this place must be awesome look at how busy it is." But in the end she said the ribs are awesome. We will all be back. More...
