Hi! My name is Neil. I'm a freelance web developer based in the UK (99% of my clients are stateside), specialising in AJAX, the cocktail of javascript and [in my case] PHP which powers most of the latest interactive web pages you see.

What do you love most about your job?
A webpage is a very "flat, static page", I like to try and give a page a feeling of mechanism. Like you are interacting with "something", the more natural the better. Subtlety is key I think.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I often used to dream of sitting on a beach in Kathmandu with my laptop, never happened.
