Wow! Doesn't look like much on the outside but they clearly know what they are doing in there!! The pulled pork was the best I've ever had and I can't wait to try out the rest of the menu.  Really excellent food!!

Kudks to Noble for environmentally friendly packging, no plastic. Sides were excellent, although they shorted me the cowboy beans, which I really wanted to try and were on my receipt. Ribs were dry, although they provide sauces, but I prefer them cooked with sauce. My wife's brisket sandwich was so fatty she couldn't eat it. Needed trimming  before chopping it. Literally the worst bbq I've ever had, and so expensive. Don't waste your money. I'm from eastern Carolina... this is not it. Everything was under seasoned and the brisket was undercooked, instead of the fatty layer melting into it there was just a huge layer of fat attached to the meat and the meat was tough. Stopped by for lunch. Ordered the pulled pork platter with slaw and Mac & cheese. I chose Alabama white and Kansas City sauces! Was really impressed by the amount of food I got and it's flavors. It came with 2 pieces of jalapeño cheddar cornbread so that was a plus too. The pork was tender and juicy, almost no fat to it. The Mac was super creamy. The cheese flavor was really mild so that was a little disappointing but honestly I wasn't bothered by it. The slaw was great. It was creamy and fresh. Loved it! Usually when I'm up visiting my parents, I avoid bbq places. I live in NC, and frankly bbq up here is generally lackluster. That being said, I was searching for a place to order pick up from for a picnic yesterday with my mom and located this absolute GEM. I ordered on the app, which was super easy. We got the brisket sandwich, half chicken, with cowboy beans, brisket mac and cheese, and collards. The sauces we got were the KC, Alabama white, and Memphis. Walking in to pick it up, the restaurant itself is unassuming-- simple decor, butcher block paper on the tables, Johnny Cash on the radio. I picked up our food (which was complete and ready to go when I walked in on time), and we went to our spot in the village to eat. Oh my gosh. Y'all. It's real bbq. Like wood smoked yummy amazing bbq, like I get in the south. The sauces were pretty spot on, tho the Alabama white was a little thicker than I prefer it. The mac and cheese was REAL, the cowboy beans tasty, and the collards were absolutely delicious and FRESH. Brisket sandwich? Stopped in early on a Thursday night with our family and basically ran the whole menu between the three of us. The ribs were tender and delicious (says our picky eater 8-year-old), the half-chicken was perfect and the brisket was, as per my Texas-born BBQ loving husband, juicy and not too fatty. We loved the macaroni salad, beans, cornbread and macaroni and cheese. The service was personable and the Johnny Cash on the stereo was perfect. This place is good but I wasn't completely blown away by it. I had the brisket sandwich on a brioche which comes with cheddar & caramelized onions & St Louis bbq sauce. I do not recommend it with the cheddar bc it dominates the flavor profile. Most customers want to taste the smoked brisket not the melted cheddar. I also don't understand WHY they would preselect a bbq sauce for their selections I personally LUV N. Carolina BBQ sauce bc it's mustard & vinegar based & it's deliciously savory. NS has about 6-7 different BBQ Sauces to choose from which is why it was surprising to me they selected one for a sandwich? BBQ sauces are extremely personal. NS needs to let the customer choose what their preference is with their menu selections. (The Kitchen can always put a recommendation under each item similar to a wine pairing!) I ordered a side of the cowboy beans which were just okay. They were a mixture of kidney & black beans & were pretty glutinous & I didn't care for the flavor which was pretty odd & frankly unimpressive. The other menu items sounded fantastic especially the pulled pork & jalapeño cornbread. I think they have solidly good food but they need to improve some items. The structure was aesthetically very nice. Very clean modern line s with a high ceiling & large windows for an abundance if natural light. They had a cute shaded patio area in the front. I wouldn't know.... Went in at 2:15 today, Friday afternoon. Place was empty except for two tables outside. The waitress was super friendly and patient while I was ordering. While ordering, the cook was hanging out the kitchen window listening to every item I ordered. He then watched me pay. The waitress says 10 min and he says we don't have any brisket- now why would he wait until I was completely done ordering and paid to say something? He said it's going to be about 30 minutes so I said OK I'll go wait in my car for 30 minutes. He then started shaking his head and mumbling something so I said just canceled the order. Apparently they didn't need my business today even though I was willing to wait 30 minutes for a $50 plus order. Too bad for the lovely waitress who lost out on a $15 tip for a take out order. Love, love, LOVE Nobles Smokehouse! The food is excellent.  The bbq ribs are big & juicy and oh so good!  I love the pulled pork!  They have several sauces to choose, from mild to holy cow, I need water!  They put their own spin on cornbread & macaroni & cheese.  Their Cowboy Beans are awesome.  We usually order on the app, the food is ready in no time, then we drive down the street to a park/beach & have a picnic.  If you love BBQ & you haven't been to Nobles Smokehouse, you need to go! We were so excited to learn about Noble Smokehouse after seeing a Facebook post by the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce. We have been waiting for a good BBQ place in the area (we had been driving an hour to Hartford for BBQ) and Noble delivered! The pulled pork was COOKED TO PERFECTION and I don't say that lightly. We have been twice so far and both times the food was amazing. I highly recommend the brisket, smoked sausage, pulled pork, and ribs. The cheddar jalapeno cornbread is awesome. If you're in the area you will probably smell their delicious food as you drive by.  They have a big smoker behind the restaurant.  They're located at the Mystic Train Station.  Absolutely cannot say enough good things about their BRISKET.  Tender and juicy!!  I always get the sandwich because I love the brioche rolls.  The cowboy beans are delicious, too.  We usually go there once a week.  It's rather small inside.  They have about 6 or 7 tables inside and a couple tables outside on a busy road.  (Route 1)  We always get our food to go and either bring it home or drive over to Williams Beach and sit there and eat if it's a nice, sunny day.  We highly recommend Noble Smokehouse and you should give them a try if you're a brisket lover like us. Ordered online for takeout was easy. Decided to try the popular pulled pork sandwich and smokehouse combination platter. It seems everything is carefully considered and uniquely tasty. For example, the pickles in the pulled pork have a crisp crunch and a side dressing complements the interior ingredients. Wow, I wish I could give this spot 6 stars!! We were walking by and smelled their food and had to stop in for lunch. We were greeted by a  very friendly server and everything was amazing from there. We got the pulled pork which came with two sauces and two sides and everything was delightful. We went with the sauces our waitress recommended and they were very complimentary to the pork and added a lot of flavorful! As sides we got mac n cheese and sautéed kale. We also tried the pulled pork nachos and a poblano corn chowder, neither disappointed. I always love a barbecue place that can nail the sides and the meat and they certainly delivered! What a great find for weary travelers!  They are open for dine in service.  We simply placed our order at the counter and literally within minutes, fresh hot bbq was delivered to our table!  The pulled pork and brisket were cooked to perfection!  The Cole slaw and macaroni salad were nice and cold and fresh!  The brisket Mac and cheese will have me visiting again!!   Great service too! Ordered take out for dinner this evening- a small chili and 2 meat platter - you can order 2 of any of the smoked meats for this menu choice and I chose my two favorites (shredded pork and brisket), 2 sides (sweet potato baked to perfection and served with whipped cinnamon butter and brisket Mac n cheese) jalapeño cornbread which is crisp and delicious and moist. Ask for extra sauce because you will want it (Memphis and South Carolina). My birthday is coming up and I might just celebrate With a flat pan of the Mac n cheese and put my candles in a corn bread!! The brisket is sublime! My husband enjoyed his ribs and (ample) cornbread. We both thought the mac & cheese (cheese-laden shells w bits of brisket mixed in) and the beans (so thick and filling, they was almost like chili) were spectacular.  I've had the burnt ends previously ( available on a first come, first served basis) -- decadent, delicious, salty, smoky morsels.
