I had a great experience shooting, it was very adventurous. There was much laughter and great vibes the entire time. The thing I enjoyed the most was professionalism and passion for the art. This was very worthy of five stars. More...

Nixon is most definitely more than just one of a kind. He is extremely talented and has an eye for for it. He is able to allow you to adapt to the settings and become comfortable. He effortlessly brings out your inner self and adjusts your esteem to become one with the camera lense. Ecstatic that I was allow to work with him. He sees potential in ones that have the courage and confidence but are over looked. He tends to give those a chance and I can’t thank him enough for doing so. :) More...

Q&As

In my work, I have to connect with any type of person very quickly. The most effective way to do this, is to actually be someone people feel comfortable around. Next comes direction. People need to know what they are supposed to do. The trick is to give direction, while also providing natural pictures. People will fall out of direction naturally. In the end, I have provided both posed, that look good, but also natural pictures, that capture the personality. That is what people want.

Most clients decide on a professional, because they feel they do not know what they want. They want my direction and expertise. Understanding that, it's important to get to know the client's tastes, because doing so helps to ensure they will like the pictures we create. To do this, I like to meet with the client in person, for a sit and chat.

I have to tell you, what I love most about a job, is when it's finished. This is because I am so focused on my work. It's at the end of a job, where I get to make my rounds and really spend time with everyone I've photographed. It's during that time, I get to see how they were affected by the pictures we created.

I wanted my own photo studio with high ceilings. I wanted to control my hours.

Photography requires no special certification. But I believe professional photography should. That is why I trained at Maine Media College surrounded by the some of the best photographers in the world. That is why I interned after finishing photo school, for 2 additional years and why I studied the works of hundreds of great portrait and editorial photographers. The best reason though, is that I understand the way light can be shaped to create good pictures.
