I don't think I can find a better photographer than Ethan for my engagement pictures. My new husband and I love all of our pictures so far. On my wedding day, he took his time to shoot us and works hard that he even took a late break for lunch. We can't wait to see the results of our wedding photos now. For those concerns about Ethan's responses, I can say I had the same experience being a bit frustrated and was close to canceling him at first. Since Ethan apologized and my wedding was getting close it would be hard for me to find another photographer so I stuck with him. I'm so glad I did because now that I look back, I understand that he might have been really busy to not respond in a timely manner. When it comes down to working he was on time and we were late but he didn't complain at all. I understand everyone gets excited and wants a lot of questions answered but I'd recommend being a bit patient and you won't be disappointed with this awesome photographer. More...

Real rating: 4.5 starsEthan did a great job with photos and knowing what angles would look good. The pictures came out great at the end. He was very personable when we met and we had a lot of fun doing the photoshoot. Since it was our first time, it was a little awkward for us but I'm happy with the memories and the way the pictures turned out. He was also very flexible about where we wanted to go and helped us pick the perfect spots! He also sent us our photos quick so we can have access to them to look at. The reason why its 4.5 stars is because there are time that it's hard to reach Ethan. He's usually busy with projects and it might take a few emails to reach him, but recently he has been pretty good at following up with certain things. He will be our photographer again for our wedding this upcoming July 14th, so I will update my experience then! I'm hoping the experience will bring this up to 5 stars! Ethan and his assistant shot my wedding on 7/29/17 for the entire day including make-up/prep for the bridal party, the tea ceremony in the morning, the ceremony at church, and the reception at a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. He gave us over 12 hours of coverage at a very reasonable price.Ethan was very prompt with responding any questions that we had via email (within minutes). Throughout the day, he and his assistants were attentive to tiny details such as moving the wedding dress or a strand of hair a few centimeters to get the perfect shot. Ethan and his assistant were very easy-going and worked well alongside our videographer.As my wife and I were not familiar with traditional tea ceremonies, Ethan was very helpful in directing us on where we should be standing and cueing us for the next move. We booked the package with the "thank you" cards where our guests would take pictures with us upon entering and receive hard copies by the end of the night. We were very impressed with the quality, and all our guests were very pleased with them as well.Ethan was also very prompt in providing digital copies of all our photos, the turn-around time was less than a week. We hired Ethan as our wedding photographer and we couldn't be happier with the choice we made. The main reason being was his price point was very, very reasonable considering what other photographers were charging.  Most importantly, he also had a bundle package with video + wedding photography + engagement session which was competitively priced with what other photographers were charging just for their wedding photography session!  One thing we loved was how his finished photos had a certain uniqueness which set itself apart from the crowd. Ethan shot our wedding last month.  He was very professional to work with and easy going.  He showed up on time, dressed up properly, and was willing to travel to different nearby locations for the shoot. It helped that Ethan knew a lot of different poising for close up shots.He worked welll together with our hired videographer. He was there for practically the entire wedding from start to finish 8:30AM-9:30PM.  The pricing is a plus, he is affordable and provides many extra services.  He went out of his way to upload our photos and provide us RAWs.  We received our photos within a month after the wedding. Working with Ethan was incredibly easy. He did family pictures for us and was so patient with us given that we had a 3 year old nephew. A crazy hyper 3 year old who hated having his picture taken did not deter Ethan! He actually found it pretty funny, and laughed a lot with us throughout the shoot. We just did the shoot on Sunday, and he just sent me the edited pictures today. Ethan and his team traveled from California for my Colorado destination wedding this past May. Having this was his first destination wedding, there was a minor problem flying him and his assistant over here, but at the end, everything worked out. Ethan and his assistant are super sweet. While helping our nonprofessional models bridal party pose for the pictures, They still respect our poses and choice in photos instead of trying to force anything upon us. Photos delivery took less than a month. I had also hired a different team of professionals for my videography portion and they all worked really well together dividing the time and shoots. For a while I've wanted a photo shoot by NIIS Photography -- with my graduation and my boyfriend's graduation coming up, I thought this would be a great opportunity to finally have it done! Our shoot was just this past weekend and it exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I worked with Ethan. Just with the planning, Ethan was very responsive to my questions and flexible with his schedule. On the day of the shoot, he arrived right on time and we got started immediately! It was great that Ethan was already familiar with the school campus for our shoot, and gave us some great recommendations for poses and spots. He took way more photos than I ever expected to get, and I was so happy with the variety of shots! Even better, he sent us the final product faster than what he originally told us. The shots turned out amazing!! What I love most about his photography is that the photos come out light and soft, yet sophisticated. We hired him for our Vietnamese tea ceremony, and Ethan was great! He showed up on time and was so kind and professional throughout the day, and made everyone so comfortable. The pictures turned out great and I appreciate that he was able to get so many key shots of the day. he even had us do some posed pictures, which I am usually wary of, but they turned out so gorgeous! Me and my husband had Ethan and the team as the videographer for our wedding.  Ethan and his team were very professional, and arrived on time.  Although there were some miscommunication regarding the song for our wedding highlight, we are happy with the finished product (raw footage and everything).  We did receive tons of compliments for the wedding highlight!!  Niis Photography captured all the important moments of our wedding from the tea ceremony to the wedding ceremony and the reception.  We cannot wait to see the videos on HD :) More...

Ethan is an amazing photographer. I can't believe he is so affordable, book him now before his prices change! The quality and artistic flair he has is beautiful. Not only does he have a natural knack for capturing the happiest moments of your life, but he makes you feel completely at ease and enjoying the moment. My husband and I used Ethan for our engagement pictures and our wedding. He was highly recommended by a friend of ours and I highly recommend him for anyone and everyone! My wedding seriously was one of the most stressful days of my life, but if you look at my pictures you never would've thought that for one second. He just has this special technique of making every picture memorable and unique!! I have sooooo many pics that I don't know where to start to print for my photo albums because I just love ALL of them! He makes you look really good and does good angles and has good poses that just flatter you and other people that are in the pics with you! His prices are very reasonable and you can tell with the quality you receive from his pics that what you pay is worth every cent. Okay...long over due, but I am FINALLY going to write this review that Niis photography deserves ! We had our wedding back in January and we booked Niis photography maybe 5 months before our wedding. I was on a hunt for a photographer for our wedding ! We live around San Gabriel valley, so I looked far and wide for a photographer who can provide us with the BEST quality and unbeatable prices !Ethan, was the one that I communicated through email/text. Thank you Ethan ! For answering all my crazy questions. Ethan was seriously amazing ! When we had our first meet up, we didn't know how he looked like. My fiancé (now husband) was worried that he was an old guy. NOPE ! We were so wrong LOL super nice young guy ! Loved his examples and booked him on the spot. On the day of our wedding, Ethan was on time. Him and his assistant got to work right away, even though my bridal party plus myself wasn't ready. It was seriously a LONG day, which Chinese wedding isn't long. With a western ceremony, tea ceremony, bridal party session, then reception. Ethan did such a AMAZING job ! I didn't have to worry about them at all the entire day. They worked perfectly well with our videographer. During our bridal party photoshoot, man...he had us doing so many different poses. Ethan is an astounding photographer, He knows how to coordinate the photo-shoot very well, but is definitely not pushy. In fact, it was a pleasure working with Ethan. He is a really friendly, out-going, and down to earth guy, who can make you naturally smile because of his hilarious camera poses. (trust me. it was hilarious.) My family recently had a wedding (not mine...but my niece). She hired Niis for videography to capture the wedding day. I've been to a handful of weddings and worked with many weddings before as I previously worked in hotels in events. My number one thing is attitude and quality of work. I know my niece had a horrible experience with the first photographer she hired, she ended up firing him and hired someone else 1 week before the wedding (yikes!). Lucky for her...her bad luck ended with that terrible photographer she fired. On the day of the wedding, Ethan showed up on time, professional, nice and did whatever he had to do to make sure he got everything that was important on video. Asian families are sometimes crazy at weddings....blocking videographer and photographers...too many iphones, ipads in the way!   I was impressed to see Ethan and his crew manage to capture the ceremony in one piece without pissing off any family members and blocking their gigantic iphone 6 from taking photos of the bride and groom. One thing that is really important about photographers or videographers is the ability to be a fly on the wall and being able to capture exactly what is necessary for a beautiful video or photo. I don't remember seeing much of Ethan and his team with heavy equipment or being in people's space. I do remember the video he captured on the dance floor and the energy of the crowd was epic. The scenes at the park before the wedding was beautiful, so much fun watching it and I know the bridal party had a blast. Ethan also took fashion photos for my niece and they are absolutely stunning. Loved the scenery he picked and the quality of the images. Overall I think Ethan's great, easy to work with as far as I am concerned and competitive pricing like what everyone else had mentioned. I see 1 negative review from someone who is unhappy about a cancellation or not showing up for an appointment. I don't think it's fair to review a photographer without actually having bad pictures or actual experience to prove for it. Ethan was the perfect choice as our wedding photographer. Ethan was attentive and open to particular shots we wanted and was also very helpful in posing/positioning us. During our engagement shoot, Ethan was constantly scouting for ideal spots and angles in his every shot. His friendly and casual approach helped put us at ease in front of camera. On our wedding day, Ethan and his assistant worked so well with our videographer in capturing every moment of our special day. He was everywhere but yet never in the way of all the hustle bustle. His dedication was apparent as he positioned us in every niche and corner of our cute venue to ensure we have all possible shots before we ran out of sunlight.
