Douglas Dye and Philip Nielsen recently helped me downsize. I had seen their work in my new home - features that compelled me to make an strong offer. As soon as my offer was accepted, I immediately called them to ask if they could help me figure out what to take with me and how it should be arranged. We met and in a few days' time, they inventoried and measured everything at my old and new homes and put together a creative and meticulous plan for every piece and every room and outdoor space at my new home. I then could confidently give away pieces that were not going to fit, prepare, and also provide my movers with a roadmap of what goes where. It helped make the move go so smoothly! My friends and family cannot believe how quickly everything came together and how beautiful and functional everything is. I am so happy!! I will continue to work with Doug and Phil in making further refinements. They are a pleasure to work with and I consider them to be trusted advisors for any and all home design. More...

We needed five pieces re-upholstered but didn't have the time or patience to look at countless fabrics and trims to find (and agree on) what would work with the existing design elements in two rooms. What a relief to have Phil and Doug understand almost immediately what we wanted. Nielsen Dye Design has been helping me design my Los Angeles loft for several years. Because my loft is in the Eastern Columbia Building and the building's interiors are designed by Kelly Wearstler, the loft interiors have also become quite important. This last job was to wallpaper one of the largest walls in a small loft so any small mistake could become a huge problem. Nielsen Dye worked with me for several months to find the perfect wallpaper, Once the decisions were made, the installation was completed perfectly. I had a vision in my head of what I wanted to do in our newly re-modeled house but needed help purchasing key pieces of furniture and accessories for a special room I wanted to create. Meeting Douglas Dye was my lucky day! He took my vision of making my "Special Horse Room" and made it happen using all the elements of colors and textures that I wanted. Douglas did an amazing job with the interior design of our home after a fire. We needed some furniture, rugs and window coverings replaced and they needed to work with our prechosen paint colors, window blinds and existing furniture and art that survived the fire.
