I am passionate about helping people get benefits from strength training whether that be health benefits or just to look good in a swim suit. And I do it in 20 minutes, once or twice a week. We have the only ARX (Adaptive Resistance eXercise) equipment in Atlanta and with this new technology the goal of the exercise is achieved quickly.

It’s a hard workout even in a short time. There’s the added advantage that it’s a one person at a time workout so no crowds. Tammy is extremely knowledgeable and motivating and ALWAYS on time for my appointments which is fabulous!! Adaptive resistance may sound like it is too quick to be worthwhile but it uses more muscles and pushes me harder then any other resistance training that i have previously done. Next Age Fitness has been perfect for me. I don't consistently have the time or motivation to get to a typical gym on a regular basis, day in and day out. But one day a week for 20 minutes (with one on one coaching!) is manageable and sustainable. And it works! Approaching my 100th workout with Next Age Fitness! For the last 9 years, I was in the gym 2-4x a week and decided to change my routine based on the research I found on the ARX technology. For the last 18 mos, the ARX methodology has been my weightlifting workout as it tracks my progress and completely fatigues the muscle like nothing I've ever experienced before (using both positive and negative force). They also have a 3-D body scan machine that is amazing and a must-do as the graph of your body can show your progress and definition. I like gauging progress this way rather than the scale. I love Next Age Fitness! It's been my go-to weekly workout for two years now. Tammy and the team are great! I love it that the workout is one on one with the trainer. Let me first say, I hate working out. I’ve tried many things in the past but never stick with it. I read about this place on a neighborhood message board and decided to go check it out. I’ve now stuck with it for five months (now going twice a week) and I love it. The fact that it’s only 20 minutes motivates me since it’s over so quickly. And it’s such a good workout! First, the goal needs to be defined. Second, explaining our philosophy on fitness. Working out is just one piece of the puzzle. Equally important to giving ones muscles a meaningful challenge, is to provide adequate hydration, nutrition and sleep so your body can adapt to the new demand.

Workout intensely. Keep hydrated. Eat only nutrient dense food. Get adequate sleep so the body can repair itself. Don't overtrain. With our workout, most people need 4 to 8 days to fully recover which is why most clients workout once a week.

I love helping people reach new levels. We use computers and track performance. Coaching someone to find a new maximum is very rewarding, even though the client did the hard part. I know I played a role in that success.

In 2015, I lost 25lbs by changing what I ate! Since I enjoy reading science based information on diet and exercise, I knew how important strength training was however I simply didn't have the time to get to the gym (I worked in the corporate world at the time). Once I was introduced to Adaptive Resistance eXercise (ARX) which significantly reduced the amount of time to produce results, I wanted to make it available locally. I knew Atlanta people would be well-read on the importance of strength training and would love the time saving aspects.
