In. Love. With. This. Place. Came here on a breakfast date only to find that many things were sold out, including chocolate croissants. The next best thing was the banana hazelnut deliciousness. I can say my pallet went to paradise and came back for SURE!Talk about baking with true delicacy. They have one of a kind pastries and baked goods hand made with love.Their bread is amazing. I would for sure suggest getting here earlier especially on the weekend to be able to grab the best of the best. Loved buying the sour dough baguette to go for our little picnic that we had planned out later in the day. These guys are great! They also sell coffee so it's seriously the best spot. No tables for table service just a quick get in get out type of spot.During the summer time it's nice to sit at the little table outside. Can't wait to come back here again. Remember: buy flour not flower :) More...

The biscuit! So buttery and flaky that you don't need to add anything more. I really wanted to try everything I saw; however, I focused on the biscuit and it was heavenly. The drip coffee was just fine too. My only suggestion is to have other seating away from the door as every time the door opens, a cold wind swept in. Also to have a bar for the stools to put our feet; however, maybe the strategy is to not have people sit for hours on end (which I totally get). Around the shop, there's a lovely collection of independent stores and 2 or 3 small restaurants. Look forward to exploring more next time. More...

Cute little coffee shop on the main drag in Newburgh. My friends enjoyed their coffee. I had a lovely biscuit and some very fancy yogurt. Their selections by the time we arrived were somewhat limited so we missed the early rush. The seating is very limited and it is very very high bar stools so my short self felt like a 5 year old in a big person seat. So no hanging out in the shop on your laptop. Much more of a grab and go spot.Staff was fine and space is very inviting. More...

I actually visited this establishment older course of the summer just to make sure it wasn't a fluke or just hype but this is fast becoming one of my favorite go-to breakfast places. Everything is made in house in the kitchen area right behind the counter. I enjoy having my breakfast sandwich at the counter by the window washing the world pass on by. For the first time I would recommend getting the breakfast sandwich which is unlike anything I've had in Newburgh; fresh poppy seed bun with a sunny side egg what seems to be a homemade ketchup tomato concoction and it's quite remarkable. Looking through my pictures you can tell my infatuation with this particular sandwich as I posted it a couple of times. I also had ham and cheese on a baguette which was amazing and a revelation in itself. Top it off with a couple of macaroons which are also top-notch; honestly anything more than to might be a little too much for the taste buds. The service is top notch and the ambiance is great I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. This place was wonderful. Â Super bright and airy, staff was lovely. Â We sampled their savory scone (cheddar, bacon) and flatbread with salt and garlic, and took home sourdough and multigrain boules. Â Everything was super delicious, bread is dense and flavorful. Â Took a stroll to the nearby park overlooking the Hudson to enjoy the cold brew and treats - great afternoon. More...

I was coming to the Newburgh area for a family wedding and while we were all together we celebrated my husband's 60 birthday. Â I searched online for a local bakery and I'm thrilled that I found the Newburgh Flour Shop. I ordered a carrot cake and cupcakes and everything was absolutely stunning and delicious. I loved the shop's personal attention and I would highly recommend them. Thank you!! More...

A cute and light-filled interior overlooking the increasingly vibrant Liberty Street and the smell of fresh bread baking set the mood for a wonderful experience that makes Newburgh Flour Shop one of my favorite places to visit. The staff are very friendly, helpful and quick, and what they serve up is truly world class. The croissants are perfectly flaky and soft, the breads are superb, and the sweet treats like the cookies and cupcakes are decadent and rich in all the best ways! A visit to the Flour Shop is a weekend tradition for my son and I when I visit my folks, and we both look forward to our visit. He always has a chilled milk and a pan au chocolat and I always get a cortado and either a scone or coffee cake and we both enjoy our goodies out front as we watch people pile in throughout the morning. An excellent place for your caffeine fix or some sweet treats! More...

Came up to Newburgh for the weekend and needed a birthday cake. This place came highly reviewed not mention the top-notch instagram page( After a few scrolls, I was sold). I called to place my cake order a few days in advance and they were incredibly accommodating to my food allergies! Nice little spot. They had a few types of cookies there that I could bring to a customer, and I got myself a Bacon, Egg & Cheese (with some kind of sun dried tomato salsa) on a seeded burger roll. Came out beautiful... really nice looking little sandwich, nice flavor (though the salsa was an odd surprise), and I was blown away when I squeezed the sandwich a little and the yolk popped open and dripped out all over my hand like... I hate to say what it reminded me of, but I love yolk so it wasn't a problem. Not many places will keep the fried egg yolk intact on these sandwiches...I Vann appreciate that! More...

Outstanding all around. This is great to see in a section of Newburgh that's going to be the beginning of the city's renaissance. Delicious coffees, breads, pastries, and decor. Do yourself a favor and walk to the right of the register, because that's where the real treats sit and wait for you to devour them. We were very happy to be here on a cold a rainy morning and indulge in some of our favorites, pain au chocolat & a cappuccino. Their baguettes are great as are the boules. Can't say enough good things about this place and I know this store will be the anchor for many great things to happen in lower Newburgh. Congratulations to you and you'll see us again very soon. This place is fantastic! I had been wanting to go for awhile and finally was able to stop by to treat myself. The decor and vibe reminded me of one of my favorite spots in San Francisco. The woman who helped me was so kind, patient and attentive. The desserts were delicious. Their iced coffee had robust, rich flavor and was really yummy; definitely some of the best I've found in Orange County. I absolutely would recommend, I know I will definitely be back!! More...

If you love classic pastries, this place is amazing. The pastries remind me of ones I found when I was in Europe - great quality and full of flavor. Macarons may look small, but I don't need much to be very satisfied. There was a mocha flavor that was amazing, and I don't usually care for coffee flavored desserts (often, the coffee flavor is so strong that it takes away from anything else and can also be too dense). Now, it is part of the change going on at Liberty Street, so it is a bit pricier than your average coffee shop. However, I find it is worth it to splurge now and then. The iced tea is not worth the price - stick to coffee or some of the nice bottled beverages. The scones are really what I go there for. They are amazing. Simply, amazing. I don't have the ability to describe how wonderful they are. More...

Found this gem of a bakery after brunch at Ms. Fairfax (read my review on the page!). But super cute pastries for affordable prices. I purchased a mini vanilla cheesecake and a hazelnut macaroon for myself. For my parents I got a pistachio eclair and passion fruit pastry. I loved the hazelnut macaroon but def could have done without the vanilla cheesecake. Their coffee was also decent! I would most definitely recommend this place to visitors within Newburgh. So happy this place is in Newburgh! Everything I've had was delicious and beautifully made. The bacon egg and cheese on brioche was amazing and an elevated version of your classic deli BEC yet still satisfying that hungover need. The almond croissant is next level- large and filled, with so many delicate layers of light pastry with crunchy almonds on top...it's perfect. These guys know what they're doing when it comes to baking and the owners and staff are wonderful, they've also given back so much to the city. Go now!! More...

I love a culinary romp with a scone. It decorates a day in the way that morning sex can punch a hole through a moldy wall of a week, drenching you in a shower of light and fresh air and hope. Scones are a food of mystery, wrapped in unexpected familiarity. Scones are an unkept promise that somehow manages to deliver something better. It's hard to trust a scone but you can trust it's earnestness, it's individual intention, it's quiet idiosyncratic expression. "Scone gon' be scone."So with this in mind, I went to the Newburgh Flour Shop for the second time (they were sold out the first visit) desperately seeking the company of what I had heard was a legendary scone, only to discover that once again they were again sold out . I must have whimpered as I explained that this was my second attempt. An angel floated forward from the ovens to the counter and said that if I would wait, she would bake me a scone. How could I possibly resist such a thing? While waiting I chatted with Newburgh, one person at a time; the musician with the awesome glasses, the mother with two hungry children, the infant with the fawning daddy, a tall drink of cool water named Cindy and after 20 minutes, hot scones at last which thankfully, after all that, did not disappoint me and delivered all the romance craved by my ravenous heart. Flaky, tender, hot and perfect with my coffee, I am happy that I went there and you will be too. More...

I love stopping by for a cappuccino and something yummy. Â So far I've tried the chocolate croissants, the flaky buttery biscuits, the savory scones, the lemon mini pound cake, sourdough bread and the brown sugar palmiers. Â About the palmiers--Oh my gosh, my friend shared hers with me and after tasting it, I went right up to the counter to snatch up another one. Â Lucky me because it was the last one. Â So light, crisp and flaky, and the brown sugar was caramelized to just the right point to give it a wonderful rich flavor but without any burnt taste. Â I think the palmier is my new addiction. If you love pastries and breads, which I do, then you'll want to check out the just-opened Newburgh Flour Shop on Liberty Street. It's a gift to all foodies in the Hudson Valley. Say goodbye to the bakery section at the supermarket. You can now get delicious croissants (which taste like they were baked in Paris), biscuits and breads, as well as outstanding coffee. The brownies are sooo good that they could be addicting. The Flour Shop is just up the street from its sister restaurant, the Liberty Street Bistro. If you've eaten there, you probably already know how good the bread is. Now you can buy it to take home. The shop itself is beautifully designed and Is a great addition to the emerging gourmet scene in Newburgh. More...
