What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Playing requests and a little something for everybody to keep everybody involved. But blending the songs and keeping the program moving is very important.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Very friendly easy to work with. You have to be a people person to be successful in this business. I also get a lot of compliments on my DJ voice. I announce everything and keep the crowd engaged.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting and working with people, the challenge of setting up in a venue , and a job well done. It's a great feeling when people compliment you at the end of the night.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In the early eightees , I worked out of a music store in Reading Pa. called Music Mania. Eventually the store closed and I became New Energy DJ. I actually prefer to work alone because in my mind I know what I need to accomplish.
Why should our clients choose you?
There are DJs that are in it for the money or some other reason. When I get hired I consider myself a servant to the people. Don't be surprised to see me open a door for somebody or help carry something, I'm always willing to help. And that translates in my work, I cover every detail. The DJ is also a wedding organizer.
