Lianne has absolutely transformed my hair in a year. I went to her with frayed curls and basically orange hair. The first thing she did was the Deva cut, and my curls have never looked better. At that appointment, she took the time to educate me on curly hair, and recommended appropriate routines and products that I still use to this day. Next, she tackled my orange hair. She was able to correct it in a couple of appointments, but even after the first one I was already much happier. A few months later, when I got married, I wanted to go blonde, and Lianne delivered as always. Now, I want to go back to my original dark, and once again Lianne has outdone herself. Each color change has taken a couple of appointments, which I appreciate because my hair has not been damaged at all throughout this process. In fact, it has never been healthier. I ended up at Lianne's mercy for color correction after a botch balayage and I couldn't be happier. Lianne didn't shy away from the disaster; instead she tacked the problem head on. I am eternally grateful to Lianne for her guidance, calmness, professionalism and experience. In less than 2 hours she was able to undo someone else's disaster and educate my on hair care. I'll post before the botch, after the botch and after Lianne. I've lived around the area for years and have always gone into the beauty supply to purchase high end salon products. They are fairly priced and always have what I need. The other day I decided to try the salon for the first time. Everyone in the salon was professional, creative and passionate. If you are like me, you don't let just anyone touch your hair. Because of this, I haven't cut my hair in about a year and a half. I was nervous but had heard good things about all the stylist here.I had the pleasure of getting a wash by the assistant, Amy. She was cautious of the temperature always, made sure not to wet my entire neck, and gave the BEST massage. Lianne was my hair stylist. She is a GK educator and definitely full of knowledge and experience. I started with my hair about 2 inches above my waist. During the consultation, I told her I wanted to cut it off because it's summer time.She worked with my face shape and the style of my hair (which is extremely curly) to determine the perfect cut for me. I told her I want a simple cut and that's exactly what I got along with some face framing layers. SHE DIDN'T GO SCISSOR CRAZY! I know that's a HUGE concern with us young girls with long hair. She really took into consideration what length I was most comfortable with and NEVER went shorter. Lianne recommended a color sealant treatment. I was confused at first because I have never dyed my hair. She was always patient with me and explained that the color sealant is going to help reduce my frizz, add a tremendous amount of shine and smoothen my curls just slightly. The color sealant was going to allow me around 2 months of manageable hair. I've gotten my hair cut several times and no one has ever recommended this to me. It was truly a pleasure having my hair cut and treated by Lianne. Cristy, another professional stylist was in charge of blow drying and ironing my hair in order to set in the color sealing treatment. I warned her I was used to stylist pulling my hair in order to properly dry it so not to feel bad. Once she began, I knew that I wasn't going to have that problem here. She was nothing less than gentle. She made me feel extremely relaxed the whole time she was drying my hair. Cristy was very cautious during the hair ironing portion of the treatment. There was a lot of steam being released from the iron but she made sure to fan it away so that it would burn my scalp. Lianne then informed me of the upkeep to maximize the time the treatment will stay fresh in my hair. She recommended the proper shampoo/conditioner to use that will allow me to get my FULL 2 months of smooth, frizzless, shiny hair. The best part was that I didn't have to drive somewhere else to get it. I was able to buy it right there in the beauty supply.I would've never imagined there being such a HIGH QUALITY salon inside of a beauty supply. I live in Boynton Beach now but I can promise you that I will make the hour and half drive to get my hair done by these amazing ladies. Thank you guys so much! I feel like a completely new person. Anita and Ami are quite the duo! Talent and passion hand in hand to deliver awesome results. I went in with a mess-I came out a new woman. They use great hair products (Alfa Parf). My highlights had become brassy and unrefined. So, Anita changed my base and did a full head of highlights, which completely corrected the color issues and addressed hair texture issues. I have been going to salons in downtown coral gables for over 20 years.
