These folks do a very nice job. It's not cheap compared to finding someone yourself. But I think it is important to go through a real regulated business with real employees who get the benefits of their employment contracts and the regulations protecting workers.

I have used Neva cleaning for over 5 years, they have been with me through almost everything, i am on my 3rd appartment and just had someone in who cleaned every single one of my apartments since i moved back to NYC, Mila is lovely, 5 years ago we started off on the wrong foot, and I truly appreciate everything shes done for me moving forward. she'll text you back immediately if you have any issue, i have never felt uncomfortable or untrustworthy of any cleaner who has been in my home (i have had at least 20 cleanings at 3 different apartments) and i have never had anything broken or misplaced, and if you have pets (i have 2 cats who are my children) every single cleaner has been friendly and downright excited to see them. also the "latest" any of them have been into the start window has been at most 5 minutes. couldn't imagine having anyone else clean my home. I'm so relieved to have finally tried Neva Home Cleaning! Our cleaner, Leah, was professional, detail-oriented, friendly, and thorough. I have tried quite a few cleaners (mostly booked through that big online do-everything site!) and am always exhausted by having to always ask them to do the most basic things; for me, it would take less energy ti just do it myself. I have utilized Neva home-cleaning since 2020. Over the years I have come to rely on Neva to provide reliably excellent service. All of the service professionals who we have had do their best to do an awesome job! When I became a new mom in 2021, Valeria, our service provider was wonderful and I was comforted by how serious they took their policies and procedures during COVID. Neva has a high bar of excellence; they are extremely communicative and offer transparent pricing with online payment options that make it easy to set up reoccurring service and payments. I am preparing to sell my apartment and wanted to make sure it is in good shape for showing. The owner, Mila, was very responsive and even though they don't normally work in the Bronx was able to make an exception on short notice. We have used Neva twice for extreme cleaning. We were flabbergasted at what they were able to accomplish both times. I find their online booking process very convenient. The first time we used the service we were able to meet the cleaners before and after and they were pleasant and professional. On our second service we weren't home for either their arrival or departure, and everything still went seamlessly. This is a great cleaning service. They are punctual and responsive. We requested 3 hours for someone to clean our bathroom, kitchen and living room. No bedrooms. Our bathroom was in pretty bad shape and now it's sparkling clean. Because she spent so much time in the bathroom she requested an additional 30 minutes to finish the floors which was no problem.
