My new favourite place with friendy and professional staff! After recently moving to a nearby neighbouring town, I did not have much luck in finding a new hair salon. It took some time and I was determined to find something local. After reading some great reviews late one night, I contacted Nela Salon by email to schedule an appointment and received a quick response from the Owner. I called to set up an appointment the following day and Kirsten was patient and professional listening to my story over the phone. She was able to schedule my appointment for the following day on short notice and even opened the salon earlier than planned to accommodate my schedule! Kirsten is a super friendly and patient individual who was able to execute my vision into a near perfect reality. She offered suggestions to correct my current color & highlights with a toner and a much needed deep conditioning treatment. I was extremely happy with the results and even more so when my family and friends commented on how “great” my hair looked. Nela is an amazing new hair salon inTenafly that has "changed my life". I have long curly hair and I used to do regular maintenance treatments like keratin and highlights cuts blow outs etc as a very high-end salon in the city costing me a lot. I was very reluctant to change salons but after a couple of visits I am now getting all of the above at Nela's hair. I'm so happy to discover this little local gem! I was going to a wedding, and was searching for a salon who does hair and makeup on a Sunday. Fortunately, I found them and they had an opening. What a wonderful experience. Everyone is so polite, respectful, nice & friendly and uber talented!  Kristin did my blowout and it was gorgeous! I didn't realize it was something I wanted til she made it happen (they also have a lot of patience especially with someone like me who really didn't know what I wanted --- all I wanted was to look good and they made it happen.) Lina and Gen, the owner, collaborated with my makeup and they did an exceptional job. Boy did I look great! I had such a great experience at this salon! Called the day of for a blowout and thank god they had one because I really needed it ! Jen (Gen?sorry for the misspell) the owner did my blowout and it came fabulous . They used really good shampoo and conditioner as well I didn't get the name but i really liked the way it made my hair feel . The staff was also very sweet and pleasant, what a nice group of girls they will make you feel comfortable and right at home ! I live close by so I will definitely be back for more blowouts !
