We really loved Norm's work. The proposal I had planned involved a flash mob with my friends to surprise my fiance and there were a lot of last minute changes cos of poor weather and having to coordinate with multiple people but Norm was very understanding and he also seemed to really enjoy it when it all started happening. Norm was a pleasure to work with and his photos were stunning! We actually might skip our "save the date" photos altogether, since we'll be able to use these that Norm took for us! He not only knows the Bay area very well and so was able to guide us around the best places to take photos in Sausalito, but he was also very flexible with the changing circumstances of our engagement. The wind changed suddenly and so our engagement sail ride changed times... Norm was happy to make the last-minute adjustment and was waiting for us at the dock when we arrived back! My best friends had to postpone their wedding due to COVID and because we couldn't host a typical bachelorette, I decided to surprise them with a couple's photoshoot in SF. Only issue was that this was a last minute plan. Norm was able to adjust us in his schedule with a 24 hr time period and that too on the day of Thanksgiving (so thankful for that). He is a great photographer, knew his way around the best hidden untapped locations in SF and the perfect timing to click sunset pictures. The photos turned out to be great and my friends loved them! I was really happy with the photos we had taken for our website. Because being in nature is the subject of our site, I loved that the photos were all taken outdoors. Norm has an amazing understanding of light and knew how to put our bodies in exactly the right spot to get lighting effect using sunshine only. It was fun to experience that. I also learned a lot working with him about what is possible with retouching. The quality of the end photos are beautiful. Norm was wonderful to work with. I had an issue with a resort in Napa, where they did not allow for outside photographers, and Norm and I worked it out with the resort in professional and respectful manner where they allowed us on the property and he is now listed as a professional vendor. During our photo session, Norm was wonderful and helped me and my fiancée make the best of the photo session. I would welcome working with Norm again. More...
