My friend and I decided to take an educational class on gun safety through Nanpor Security.  I was not a gun owner, she was but had not shot her gun in years. I mentioned that I wanted to take a class and eventually purchase a firearm and she said she would join me.  Our instructor was Franklin Reed, he was awesome!He was so knowledgeable, easy to work with and tried to accommodate our schedules whenever possible.  After our training, we both took and passed our firearms safety test, and I became a gun owner!  We have continued to train with Mr. Reed and receive instruction about twice a month over the last 7 months.   Each time we train with him we learn something new to help us become more confident when we are at the range and as a result our marksmanship is becoming more accurate each time we work with him.  We also took advantage of the laser simulator at Nanpor.  It is a great way to improve your thinking if you should be faced with real life situations as those that are simulated on the screen.  After each session we were able to review the accuracy of our shots and discuss better ways to handle the situations that were on the screen.  I am getting ready to take my CCW training in March and Mr. Reed will be my instructor. Phillip is a true subject matter expert in all types of security! I received a gold membership from my wife for Christmas. Best gift ever. I was looking for something more than sending lead at a paper target and this is it. They have a huge number of scenarios that the instructor can load, you work your way though, and then he can replay frame by frame and critique your shots/ timing. It is way more that an electronic range. This is no Duck Hunt. This is as serious as you want. Great for newbies to learn gun safety etc before handing real firearms. It’s my new weekly training! I've been taking training classes at Nanpor for roughly 8 years and am currently working armed security at a bank. I can testify that Phil is very serious about instructing his students in all aspects of the security field -- especially w/regard to making sure that his charges get the information about the law that they'll need. During shooting qualifications Phil and Reed are alert and fastidious, making sure that safety is maintained on the firing line. Janett (office manager) makes sure that the BSIS paperwork is properly organized and submitted.......I haven't experienced a hiccup yet, and this creates peace of mind knowing that my permits are always current. This is most certainly NOT a mill operation -- all members of the staff are serious about preparing students for whatever may come at them. It's a real pleasure working with them always. More...
