Called around 12:30 for a haircut and Sue said she can schedule me in with her junior specialist, Vanessa, at 2:30. Located on Broadway in Burlingame, it was easy to find parking right in front. I was greeted and started right away. The salon was cute. Told them I wanted a haircut and showed Vanessa a picture of the cut I wanted. Let's just say, the outcome was absolutely perfect! I wished I had taken a before picture of my hair because the after was absolutely perfect. Vanessa was super sweet and personable. She's young but super sweet and attentive. My one hour appointment passed by so quick and next thing I realized, my hair looked healthy, shiny, and felt super soft. Vanessa was thorough with the cut and based everything on what I liked and wanted and more. Before my cut, my hair had no style and it was full of split ends and looked so thinned out so it made my hair felt so heavy. After a wash, cut, and style, my hair felt so much healthier and looked so much healthier. I only wished I had found them sooner but I'm glad I finally did. It's only been half a day and I've already gotten compliments on my hair and my family can't stop feeling how soft it is !! Had my first (and def not the last) haircut at Nabi with Vanessa and some final touches from Su. It was a last minute request for an appointment and Su was very accommodating! I came to my appointment with something in mind but was very open to Vanessa and Su's suggestions and the final result was just everything that I wanted. My hair is now full of life and Vanessa really did a great and amazing job of making sure that it was the cut I was looking for. What great things can i not say about Su, the owner. Stopped by on Tuesday and asked for a consultation. She took me right away and was very patient. I had used pharmacy store boxes color bc i was so upset with what my previous stylist had done. Su was honest and patient and let me know what she could and couldn't do and what her plan of action was. She squeezed me in 2 days later even though she was booked out for 3 weeks! I. Love. The Nabi Modern Salon. I am a faithful hair devotee of Decor. I've been going to Decor for five years and so happy she now owns her own salon. He has given me the greatest pixie cut, and in my long hair times really great layers, he's made my hair beautiful shades of blonde and now rich dark. Also Thelma did some hair extensions for me recently and they are so gorgeous and realistic that most people just say to me, "Did you do something different to your hair?" Had my long past due hair cut today by Su... as i'm always skeptical on finding the right hair dresser to do my hair.... Su is super nice and sweet, listen to what i want, explain to me my wish vs reality (i've fine thin asian hair), and last but not lease know how to play with the color. I am a brunette and needed to find a colorist who knew what she was doing in the color arena  given the string of bad colorists I had been experiencing who ruined my color and cut. It was a scary time and I needed to find someone FAST. I want to find someone I could go to for many years to come. Thanks to Yelp, I found Su, Owner of Nabi. What a talented colorist who can also give a great cut and blow out....and who is extremely nice, accommodating and a great listener. Of course even though you read positive reviews, they don't always result in the same experience for you. However, in this case it was everything positive and more! Su called me back promptly on a HOLIDAY weekend no less, listened to my situation, was very kind/sensitive, and made room for me when she really had none to give!Su knows color and can perform the most complicated procedures to the most simple on both brunettes and blonds. I feel that mine is complicated because I am a brunette and she needed to fix my color after the last colorist destroyed it in a few short months!!! She uses excellent products and takes the time to do the job well. She repaired my color and cut over several months, so all's well again thanks to SU!!!I am super picky, so at the risk of sounding obnoxious, if I think she knows what she is doing with color, then she does. :-) If you are on the fence about a colorist, please do give her a try. You will be very pleased. It isn't just about how well a hair stylist/colorist knows their craft, but also their personality. I am so thankful for Julie at Nabi Salon for her efforts in fixing my incredibly damaged hair. My hair was the product of an extremely bad salon visit but thanks to Julie and the team at Nabi Salon I am happy to report my hair is beautiful and healthy again! Julie fixed my botched Balyage and replaced it with a beautiful top notch balyage. Julie took her time with my hair and I didn't feel rushed at all. She made sure she had a plan of action going into the appointment about what to do with my hair, and was sure to touch bases with other staff members for their input! My worries of finding a salon that meets my needs is gone now, and I have a new go-to Salon and stylist that I will go to from now on! Su is amazing at her job and super friendly too! It was my first time getting my hair colored, so I was a little nervous at first. But Su explained everything she was doing to my hair and put me at ease. And she made sure I wasn't in pain as she colored, washed, and combed my hair. I love how my warm bayalage turned out!! I also got a trim along with the bayalage. The next day, I realized that one side of my hair was slightly longer than the other and asked Su to fix it. If I could give Su another 50 stars, I would. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair before going in, but after talking to Su we decided to try a balayage. I've never dyed my hair before so I was a bit nervous, but I am SO HAPPY I trusted Su to work her magic. She is an artist!! Not only is Su incredibly talented, but she is also extremely honest. Made an appointment through the app and requested an appointment for haircut and partial highlights. The Owner Su replied back immediately and told me she wont be available since she's out of town. Gave me Julie's number instead and kept in touch before and during the appointment. I was the only one left during that day so I felt like se really gave me her time to be able to accommodate me on her schedule even if it requires her to stay late. She was a great hairdresser and made me feel comfortable the whole time. It feels like I was talking to a "friend" while beautifying me at the same time! My hair looked perfect on the day of my photoshoot which is 2 days later after I got my hair done by Julie! Pls refer to the picture below. I would definitely recommend this salon most esp. Julie. Su is great!!! I came here for a haircut and decided last minute to get highlights as well. Despite having a hectic schedule with clients filing in nonstop, Su squeezed me in for an additional hour to get the highlights done. Su is very knowledgeable and genuine. My hair is thin so I wanted more layers throughout to create more volume. She aptly explained that multiple layers actually means cutting off more hair, which is not suitable for someone like me who does not have a lot to begin with lol. She focused instead on creating layers at the bottom, which resulted in sort of a billowing effect at the bottom that definitely makes my hair look fuller. When I asked about bangs, she also convinced me that bangs wouldn't work for my style, especially when it means I'd have to come in every two weeks to get them trimmed. I appreciated her factual approach to helping clients understand what would and would not work for our unique styles and needs, without trying to up-sell us into anything we might not need.The end result is awesome! I have been going to Su for almost 10 years now. She is amazing! I trust her COMPLETELY with my color. My color always turns out fabulous! She is honest when I see her about a certain cut that may not work well with my hair type (very fine) and she has always done a great job with my cuts/style. I have been to Su twice for a haircut and once for a balayage. Both haircuts and the color job were fantastic. After my haircut, Su was very kind as to  teach me how to style my hair with a curling iron so that I could recreate the hairstyle at home. I was a complete newbie at using the hair iron but she was very patient and made sure that I got the technique. The balayage in particular was excellent since I requested a natural color and style and she executed it to perfection. I don't think I will be going to any other stylist as long as I'm in the area! Ok, I'm about an hour out of the salon, but I have to say that I LOVE MY HAIR I came in with a self-done silver-blue hair, complete with some damage. After about 7 months of upkeep, I've gotten tired of it. I've done extensive research for the best salon, and it led me to Nabi Salon. First off, everyone at the salon is SUPER nice, chill, and welcoming. The salon is clean, organized, and has a comfortable atmosphere. Su, the owner and who did my hair, was absolutely fabulous! She was very patient and determined to get me the light ash brown hair I wanted (it took about 2 1/2hrs). Erica was also fantastic as she washed my hair and styled as much as she can. Su is wonderful - she fit me in on short notice (I think she missed her lunch).  She actually replied to my appointment request on a Sunday.  Best of all, she fixed my bad color!   I also love the cut she gave me!  She is easy to talk to, listens to what you want (even if you can barely articulate it) and gives good advice.    Her salon is hiding in plain site on Broadway in Burlingame - and is a great local find!!  I'm so glad I couldn't get an appointment at my previous (more expensive) hair salon on the Avenue.  I will definitely be back too Nabi. Found Nabi Salon through Yelp about 2 years ago and haven't gone to another hair salon ever since. Su (owner) always does a great job on my hair and gives me the exact cut I'm looking for. She is personable, sweet, and very fun to talk to. She responds quickly to appointment requests but her schedule does get busy so I usually set up my appointment weeks ahead of time and have never had any scheduling issues. Su also does hair/makeup for weddings and agreed to doing mine last year. She traveled more than 2 hours to my wedding and did a fabulous job on hair/makeup for my maid of honor and myself. OMG! Su SAVED me. I got my hair colored at a different salon (won't mention any names) and they totally botched my hair. I immediately called Su at Nabi and even though her schedule was completely booked she squeezed me in after I told her what happened (and I was going out for my bday dinner in the city the next day). I've been coming to see Su for a while now; heard about her from a girlfriend whose hair always looks amazing!  I love Su.  She introduced me to keratin treatments, which are the first chemical treatments I've ever done on my middle aged hair.  I love them and get them about three times per year.  So far, they've tamed my hair's increasing frizziness and coarseness.  With hair looking and feeling silky and lush, I've been able to stave off coloring, although with silver streaks gradually encroaching, I'll probably be consulting her at some point.  Su has never given me a bad cut.  I'm Asian and have thick, coarse, mostly black, mostly straight hair that hangs past my shoulders.   I'm low maintenance and in a disorganized rush every morning, mostly wearing my hair up in a bun, but on weekends sometimes I'll let it down.  She coaxes my stubborn hair into something I feel great about!  She has vision, but doesn't go crazy and take me out of my comfort zone.  And she is funny, direct, and kind.  Weekend appointments are hard to get, but that's because she is fabulous and in high demand.  Thank you so much, Su!  You make me so happy! I messaged Su that I had a hair emergency! My hair was bright red to where I had to tie up my hair, it was pretty embarrassing to let it down. I absolutely hated it, and so Su responded so quickly to let me know she can fit me in on her day off. I am so grateful to Su she took her time out where she could've spent it with her family, but instead she was so gracious enough to help me fix my red hair problem. She took so much time working on my hair to ensure that the end results would be great and something that I would be happy with. And guess what?! I am absolutely happy with the end results!
