I've had several different personal trainers over the years, some were good and some were just ok, but the trainers at Myoblast really are incredible. The level of knowledge and expertise at Myoblast is impressive and contributes to the excellent results. Plus, because they seriously know what they're doing, they are very time efficient. Do it. I am 58 years old and just started training with Tom, I love the full body workouts in short hard sessions. Recovering from a torn rotator cuff injury and no relief from physical therapy, Tom helped me gain strength and range of motion in my shoulder. This place is INCREDIBLE. Thats the best way I can describe it. Thomas will make sure you are pushing yourself, but in the correct way. I have been training with him for a few months now and have steadily increased my strength. The part I feel is most important is that he WILL make sure you are doing these workouts correctly so you do not hurt yourself. You will leave with wobbly arms and legs, but nothing injured and that is the MOST important thing. He pushes you hard and is extremely supportive. I cant wait until my Savage race in the fall. Where to begin... I consider myself to be somewhat in shape. I typically workout with my son 4-5 days a week, one body part a day for about an hour. We don't talk much, we workout to fatigue, get great workouts and we like our progress. While TP never says you're doing it wrong he does say I can get your strength, I can get your conditioning, I get get your size, the cut you desire. I can show you how to do it more efficiently than your current routine, saving you time, allowing you to gain time, time for other things, more energy, less recovery. He says we can do both strength and conditioning; they can be done at the same time in 20-26 min. I am here to tell you if you are like me you grew up with an idea that everything was compartmentalized...strength training was done separately from cardio. I had certain skepticism from what he was telling me. At 16 min into TP's regiment for me, I had a firm understanding of strength and conditioning and how the two can be accomplished simultaneously. The fatigue, the heart rate achieved in that short amount of time was unlike anything I have experienced. TP brings an education, a methodology while you are working out, making sure your technique is good to avoid injuries, a motivation and enthusiasm that is unmatched. He gets your mindset straight and gets more out of you. More than you ever thought possible. Recovery...well lets just say... you need a couple of days. Something else I have never seen a trainer do is follow up with genuine concern with how you are feeling. He continues his training and coaches you during your recovery. If I could clone the owner and this gym, to bring them to Austin, I would in a heartbeat. I came across MyoBlast by accident and have worked with Thomas a couple of times each week during my month stay. I have learned a new way to train and how/why it’s effective. In this slap and dash world of superficial fads and empty promises, it's hard finding knowledgeable professionals who are passionate about their specialty and at the same time dedicated to their clients. Tom Knapp of Myoblast Strength is one of those professionals. His knowledge of exercise science is vast, but at the same time it's not just a cerebral exercise for him. It's how he crafts that knowledge into a functional and personalized program for each of his clients, walking that fine line between making you question just how far you can physically push yourself, followed by the celebration when you actually do. You'll be hard pressed to find such a dedicated trainer to both his training philosophy and to his clients, with results that speak for themselves. All 3 of my children have trained with Coach Knapp and the results have been AMAZING! His training improved their fitness level as well as their performance in sports and in the classroom. Keeping in shape has always been important to me, but now entering my 60's, staying healthy is my main focus. After years of speed walking and elliptical use, I tried training with Tom and was amazed. In only a few weeks, I felt stronger and had more muscle definition. This with only working out 25-30 minutes twice a week. I was hooked! Now over a year later I continue to improve in strength and mobility. I have trained with Thomas Knapp for four years and I have never stopped seeing improvements. My strength has gone through the roof and my conditioning has never been better. I get more results from 25 minutes of Myoblast, than I did from 2 hours in the gym. Tom has an immense knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and all around fitness. He also has a rare and unique passion for training, and it shows in every session. He is clear, concise, and focused on your development. If you don't understand a method, he will explain it. If you don't believe it, he will prove it; first with facts, and then with results.
