I came to Bridget for guidance and support on dealing with anger issues and being impatient. She helped me understand the difference between "hearing and listening". Her techniques and approach to promoting active listening resulted in methods to address situations and stressful events. I learned the conditions of sympathetic and parasympathetic. In addition, through her background and mastery of Reiki, Bridget taught me principles to help me look at life on a simple level and help manage emotions and reactions calmly and effectively. When I first came to mybridgetowellness for assistance, I had an intense nerve pain in one of my legs when I walked. I thought it was due to my age, but thanks to the knowledge and professionalism of Bridget, she showed me an exercise to do on an daily basis that cured me of that pain almost immediately. I did not have to take any medications. She then followed up with some suggestions for several other exercises, nutritional suggestions, and supplement suggstions that has me feeling like a 24 year old. My father was an entrepreneur. I watched and observed all that he has done, and soaked in what was taught to me.

Services

Through my Clinical Hypnosis tools, I provide therapy for clients while they are in an altered state of consciousness. They experience a condition of relaxation so profound that their subconscious minds are able to receive suggestions that otherwise their conscious minds would have blocked and discarded. As a result, they are able to recognize beliefs and behaviors that have been holding them back and to acknowledge strengths and insights that had lain hidden in their subconscious. I am able to help them cease dysfunctional behaviors, put away useless fears, and recognize solutions to their problems.

My Clinical Hypnosis sessions create milestones on the pathway to wellness for many of my clients, resulting in life-changing events.

Sand Play Therapy is an effective client-centered healing modality based on a theory first propounded in 1929 recognizing that whenever troubled children and young people are given the chance to speak and play freely under optimal therapeutic conditions, they will be able to identify their own problems and devise appropriate solutions.

Utilizing a sand tray’s “free and protected space” creates an environment in which the person can express him/herself without fear of criticism or judgment. The activity leads to symbolic expressions of the person’s inner consciousness.

Solid research has shown play therapy to be equally effective regardless of the age and gender of the individual and whether the research is conducted as an individual or in a group. The involvement of family members playing together in a sand tray, results in interactions that provide insights into the true nature of family relationships and uncover both internal and external behavioral and communication issues. Conclusions can be drawn from observing interpersonal behaviors during play that permit guidance to participants in improving the quality subsequent family interactions.

Sampoorna Yoga is the Yoga of fullness. It refines and purifies all aspects of the human personality so that the Soul can shine forth in its divine splendor.

Hatha Yoga is also taught and practiced with this objective.

According to Yoga philosophy, when we speak of the body, we are referring to 3 bodies, the physical, astral and the causal body. All the systems in these 3 bodies are toned. This is why at the end of a Sampoorna Yoga Session you will feel relaxed, recharged and happy.

You will get the maximum benefits by being fully present and not allowing the mind to wander. Business, job, family and all responsibilities can wait for this one and a half hours. Dedicate this time fully to yourself for your well being. In this way you will be more capable to face the challenges of life. The benefits derived from these exercises include positive effects on the practitioner’s mind, body, and spirit.

Practitioners are guided through a series of gentle relaxation exercises that focus on postures, called asanas, that are used for stretching but also improve their well-being in a number of ways. Yoga exercise tones muscles, preventing injury, and relieving specific ailments ranging from lower back pain to depression. Asana poses are combined with breathing exercises to supply pure blood to each area of the body and return blood to the lungs for purification.

Both group and individual sessions involve meditation, breath work, and vibrational sounds.

This healing experience in the water is a meditative journey where the therapist moves you, flowing with the water, as a dance, to enter a calming state of being.

Once floating in the water the therapist takes you through a gentle flowing dance of circular, spiral, and fetal movements symbolic of movements in the womb. In this weightless state, tension can be released held in the joints and space crates between the vertebra of the spine.

​Aquatic techniques of Wastus, Janzu, Aguahara, Craniosacral, and Thai massage are used on this journey combined with the therapist's personal healing techniques. This rebirth experience offers deep transformation aided the waters' natural healing properties.

​As the process unfolds the individual enters into a deep state of meditation, the mind becomes quiet, and old limiting patterns and emotions can be released and dissolved into the water, the element of our emotions.

The “Integrative” approach moves the coaches simply from counseling and nudging, while encouraging to embody and fully equip clients to make the most effective changes in their life. Integrative Life Coaches (ILC) will hold the flashlight up so-to-speak so that the clients can see better. In addition to guiding clients to overcome core issues, personal action plans are developed to help them move effectively towards achieving their goals.

Clients are guided in freeing themselves from dysfunctional habits and behaviors and are directed to a life that will be healthy, satisfying, and productive — the life they actually desire.

Life Coaching is also integrative because it encompasses mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual conditions in order to undertake positive changes in every area of life. Chaotic elements of a client’s intentions and behaviors are incorporated into a healthy and life-affirming whole.

Reiki is a healing technique that channels universal energy from the practitioner to the patient through placing of the hands on affected areas of the body to promote and/or restore physical and emotional healing and well-being. The source of energy is ki (pronounced kee), which is a universal life force that surrounds us at every point. The word “reiki” is a Japanese compound word that can be roughly translated as “spiritual energy” or “life force.”

This powerful flow of positive energy may bring a near immediate sensation of relief as it releases tension, lessens the impact of stress, and replaces negative energy with the positive.

Naturopathy is the practice of promoting wellness through healing techniques that are natural, non-invasive, and promote self-healing. The term “naturopathy” combines the Latin word for “birth” and the Greek word for “suffering” to create a compound that suggests natural healing.

Naturopathic Healing practice is based on the foundational belief that, given optimal conditions, the body is able to heal itself. Natural and/or non-invasive techniques, such as hydrotherapy, herbal medicine, and homeopathy can be used. Wellness is promoted through changes in lifestyle including exercise, nutrition meditation, and relaxation.

For thousands of years, various cultures have been utilizing music as a tool for healing.

“Music is what feelings sound like.”

The Sound Therapy techniques becomes a healing force making therapeutic use of sound and music to improve clients’ health and well-being. When combined with deep mindfulness and meditation, sound and music can profoundly affect a person both in body and soul. Clients are facilitated through imagery, awareness, breath work, and subtle and relaxing movement as the sound bowls play.

Sound Therapy sessions involve a number of tonal and rhythmic instruments including crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and gongs. Vocal techniques include sustained singing of one tone with a vowel sound. Sometimes over-toning is added, which is the simultaneous singing of more than one tone. Exercises, called Mantra, is performed in which Sanskrit words, and Vocal Processing Techniques use voice in combination with movement, visualization, and breath.

Other sessions include rhythm and percussion therapies which make use of frame drums, chimes, rainsticks, shakers, and other percussion tools. When played in a specific order, these provide soothing and healing effects, positively influencing the whole being. Sound Therapy can address sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and PTSD. It can manage stress and pain.
