The level of "teacher" in this guy is unreal. We are still blown away by how patiently he fielded question after question. He even made a 30 min video walking us through our tax return and encouraged further discussion for any more questions. He also knew we were Dave Ramsey fans and FPU coordinators. He knows all of those principles well (he's an ELP), and helped us with practical application advice to that system. It's difficult to find an accountant who is both caring, and competent. If you find both of those traits consider yourself lucky as I've worked with far too many accountants to know that they often come up short in one of those two departments.
Should they have both of those traits... AND they are proficient leveraging new technology, then you have found your perfect accountant or a business partner for life.
That is what I have with Jeremy. He cares about me as a person and cares about the financial health of my business in ways no other accountant has. More than competent, he excels at providing real-time legitimate advice for our financial needs. And he's got an edge regarding how he uses technology to keep me informed that is quite frankly, impressive.

I think there are many accountants capable of filling out tax forms and preparing financial statements and reports. Where I try to differentiate my services from others, is in my ability to communicate with my clients. I approach each client with the heart of a teacher. Explaining what they can do to make more income and/or reduce their tax liability. I listen. I am patient so as to make sure they understand how to best use the resources available to them.
