I want to start of saying... most of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to! We ended up choosing Kennolyn after a friend recommended it to us. We were looking for a Redwood wedding that could be over the weekend and have lodging on site. Some other venues we had looked at had some restrictions that didn't work for us. We booked the Stone Creek Village location :) most of our guests stayed on site in cabins. We had a welcome dinner with everyone on Friday, had breakfast and lunch on Saturday, did yoga and opened the pool on Saturday before the wedding and reception, then had a final breakfast on Sunday. This was the perfect location for our friends and family. Most guests were flying in, so we were able to have them stay onsite and got to enjoy as much time as possible with everyone. I will say the planning process was a bit hectic. We went through 3 wedding coordinators with the venue because 2 of them got fired. Luckily we had our own wedding planner to help us. But, once we got assigned Caroline with the venue, everything started to fall into place. Her and the venue staff during the wedding were amazing. There was only one hiccup with the guest welcome bags when people were checking in to their cabins some of the bags weren't given to our guests. But, I'd say if that was the only mess up... things went perfectly! The food was very good! The location is magical, amongst the redwoods in a luxury camp-like setting. I don't even know where to begin with this review because our May 2018 wedding weekend at Stone Creek Village at Kennolyn was amazing! !! We knew we wanted to incorporate the beauty of the redwoods, an opportunity for our family and friends to spend quality time with one another, and a venue that would be mostly inclusive of all wedding needs - Kennolyn fit that bill perfectly!Working with Janine and her team was fantastic!! Janine is an amazing coordinator who is extremely professional, understanding, and patient. The Kennolyn staff was nothing but professional, helpful and accommodating. Along with Janine, they helped make our weekend wedding a superb success making sure to take care of all of the major and minor details. Janine coordinated with the outside vendors like a champ and never once did I feel like I needed to intervene, and I like to intervene.One thing that caused some concern was the fact that we had to sign a contract before a formal food tasting but all of that was alleviated the moment we stepped foot onto their site during one of their "meet and greet" events with their catering staff. We were invited to bring up to 2 guests and we met other couples who were also having their weddings at Kennolyn, meet vendors for services that Kennolyn didn't provide as well as sample a vast variety of their menu items before deciding what our wedding menu would be. The food was spectacular and we were able to leave the event with a wedding menu in mind. Our guests loved the options and the quality!! Â Â There were some additions we added to our weekend package: the bonfire and s'mores package for Friday night and the ropes course on Saturday morning. Both are HIGHLY recommended and if you are considering and evaluating if both are worth the value, for the purposes of our wedding and giving our family and friends opportunities to have shared memories, get to know one another in different capacities, it was a complete SUCCESS!! If you're considering Kennolyn's Stone Creek Village I would 100% recommend it! To this day, our guests still speak about their experiences as "one of the most fun and memorable weddings/weekends" they've been to. Our son's wedding at Stone Creek Village, Kennolyn Camp, Sept. 28-30th, 2018, surpassed our expectations. Everything was perfect, from the weather to the food to the clean cabins. We visited several sites in the Santa Cruz area and they decided on this site because it fulfilled their  concept of a wedding in a redwood grove, surrounded by family and friends. The site provided well lit and paved paths to the venue from the parking lot (you have to use a shuttle at night for off-site guests). For the older guests with walking or vision issues, they golf-carted them down to the wedding grove or to their cabins. What a help that was.The Friday barbecue was not your average BBQ; of course you pick the selections through a variety of options but it was more like a buffet-style catered meal at the round tables in the plaza, with two fire pits glowing, and acoustic guitar and bass humming, music provided by musician guests. A good lead-in to the wedding day festivities. It was a little chilly that night and guests did turn on the heaters in some of the cabins.The breakfast in the vintage great lodge where there is wifi was fantastic. The ceremony site was awesome. And the wedding dinner buffet was cooked and served to perfection, with meat, fish, and vegetarian options.We had 120 guests with 11 children, the little ones enjoying themselves with balls and hula hoops and the giant chess game. 85 guests stayed on site and I think that turned out to be the best option because it was a giant family gathering on both sides, with the friends staying up late and singing and talking.It was an international gathering, with guests from Australia, Paris, London, Hawaii and a dozen states. They were a sophisticated bunch yet all loved it and I heard no complaints. We all highly recommend Kennolyn and the great-lead-in by the staff, especially the food and wine tasting and bridal show prior to the wedding, where the shuttle companies, bakeries, etc etc etc are showcased.They offer a selection of packages which you can read about on the website. Most amazing venue and top notch staff! We had our wedding up at the Hacienda 8/4/18 and we can't sing our praises enough. We couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful and dreamy venue in the redwoods for our wedding. We were also sold on the all-inclusiveness of the venue. We worked closely with Janine on all the details leading up to the big day - she was very responsive and always had great suggestions for making our day perfect. I also had special circumstances given I was doing my own flowers, and I needed to be able to check in to Casa de Caldwell early - Janine and the other Kennolyn staff were flexible and were able to accommodate me! Jenn and Lauren were so supportive and helpful from the time we checked in to Casa de Caldwell - they took over handling of the final wedding details, and even put together some last minute decor so my bridesmaids and I could relax! They also arranged all the decor, put the flower centerpieces out, and even helped me pull off a T-Rex encounter/first-look prank - they did an amazing job! All of the food was delicious and plentiful - we chose the buffet option for dinner and all our guests loved it and were so happy they could go back for seconds (and thirds!). All of the staff went above and beyond our expectations to make it a fun and stress-free weekend - everyone was a real joy to work with. I went to summer camp here 30 years ago and when I heard my friend was getting married here, I was a bit skeptical.. (married at a kids’ camp? !?) I returned for the first time since camp, and was surprised there was a completely separate Hilltop Hacienda venue specifically for events. Stunning venue, redwoods and ocean views! We had a terrific wedding and reception event under the very effective planning and execution oversight of the Kennolyn team (Anna, Lauren and Sydney). Our event (160 guests) was easily accommodated and coordinated by this terrific team. No drama, on time, smiles all around.The facility was perfect for our event. Redwood grove, courtyard cocktails, dining on the veranda overlooking the Monterey Bay. Grooms Casita and Brides Hacienda for pre wedding preparations. I don't know where to begin with Janine! She is the absolute BEST and I just adore her! She is such a joy to work with and makes the planning beforehand and day-of execute seamless and stress-free. This venue was absolutely perfect! Janine and her staff went above and beyond to make our wedding amazing. During our initial interviews, Janine was very helpful and knowledgable with ideas and suggestions for planning the event. Then once my husband and I had booked everyone she handled all the logistics which was a super helpful. The day the venue was gorgeous. Everything was set up perfectly, I just had to drop off any specific decorations to her and they took care of all the rest. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. I can't say enough about how wonderful Kennolyn and its staff are. The venue itself is so gorgeous - it overlooks the ocean and is situated in the Santa Cruz mountains surrounded by Redwoods. The staff is incredibly helpful and responsive - we worked with Janine for over a year. During that year, she would respond to our emails within 24 hours and continuously make us feel at ease. She coordinated with our vendors the day of and made sure we did not have to deal with anything the actual day of our wedding. My husband and I got married at Kennolyn in the Stone Creek Village in September 2017 and had an fantastic experience from start to finish. Janine Spediacci was the venue's event coordinator we worked with from the beginning and she was amazing to work with. Her attention to detail is outstanding and we always felt comfortable and that we were in good hands. We chose the Stone Creek Village for the unique venue location and had about 50 family/friends spend the weekend with us in the cabins located onsite. We loved the replica of an old western town and that we had the venue to ourselves for the entire weekend. Kennolyn Stone Creek Village does summer camps for kids and started doing weddings a couple years ago. Our ceremony was in an amphitheater in the redwoods and is such a beautiful location. If you want a truly unique wedding experience in the woods then this is the place. We loved having a campfire and s'mores the night before our wedding and our family and friends loved using the pool the day of the wedding, going hiking, playing corn hole, ping pong, basketball, and tennis. Before we even booked Kennolyn for our wedding Jenn and Janine were very sweet and helpful. They offered us to attend their Wedding Day Overview which is typically for couples who have already committed to the venue and gives you the chance to sample their food/wine, meet other vendors from bakeries, florists, photographers etc. They were always quick to respond to emails if I had any questions and were very accommodating when it came to delivering décor. We had planned 300 guests which they had never had before so they were taking on a challenge, but they did a great job in making it work. Kennolyn is a beautiful venue with redwoods and views looking out to the ocean. It is mostly outdoors, but does have a small hall as well. There is plenty of parking and they let guests leave vehicles overnight if you partied too hard! What I loved about Kennolyn is what is included which were tables, chairs, linens, food, alcohol, set up/clean up and Jenn, Janine, and Courtney are there throughout the whole process and the day of which is very helpful so you don't have to designate someone from the bridal party to deal with questions/concerns.I'm so sad that the day is over, but happy with my experience. The only negative, and maybe the DJ could've done it, but seconds for dinner was not announced and a lot of people said they didn't get cake so I don't know if it didn't get announced or it didn't get passed around well enough. Also, my bridal party didn't get appetizers so it would've been nice if they set a plate like they did for us (bride & groom). Jack was perfect! He played the right kind of music to keep everyone out on the dance floor, and enough slow songs to keep my husband dancing. I found him at a bridal show along with several other DJ services. I talk to 3 others before I came across him. He and his partner were so easy to talk to, I stopped looking for anyone else. We met Jack Crawford with Music Now DJ's at our venue, during a tasting/vendor event. My wife and I met with a few DJ's prior to meeting Jack. The DJ's we met with, came off as being a bit too loud, cheesy and were more interested in what they had to offer rather than listen to what my wife and I were looking for. Then we met Jack with Music Now DJ's. We spoke with Jack for about 30 minutes, but within the first 5 minutes, my wife and I both knew we found our DJ. Jack asked what we were looking for in a DJ, what we didn't want, and then listened to us answer. He got a feel for us, our guests, the type of music we wanted and then he told us how Music Now DJ's could meet/exceed our needs. He was never pushy or cheesy and the 3 of us got a long great. We specifically booked Jack to be our DJ/MC for 6 hours and the attended photo booth option for 4 hours. We could not have asked for a better DJ/MC for our wedding as Jack not only exceeded all our expectations, but he was able to help us with a few on the fly changes/requests and didn't miss a literal beat. I wish I had more space here to continue to tell you how awesome Jack and Music Now DJ's were for us and our wedding, because they were. But I will leave you with this, if you are considering Jack and Music Now DJ's for your wedding, stop "considering" them and book them! We didn't do much corresponding before the wedding other than going over the completed wedding packet, but closer to the wedding he was very responsive an absolutely killed it on the day of! He made sure all of my special requested songs were played, even the ones that were difficult to find (i.e. special covers of certain songs). Plus, he included an awesome surprise for the cake cutting - he found out we were devoted Sharks fans a few days before the wedding and included the Jaws theme song for us at the cake cutting. I thought it was a surprise from my husband - but it was actually the DJ! He also took requests from our guests with the appropriate tact and judgment on what he knew we liked. I also got a lot of compliments on the dinner music. We hadn't even really picked anything for that, it was all the DJ. We loved having our reception at Kennolyn. The team there worked with us to create a wonderful evening for us and for our guests. From the very beginning, they were focused on making sure our day was as special as possible.The venue itself is gorgeous and doesn't need a lot to create a special event. It's also a photographer's dream. From the sunsets, to the redwood grove, and place itself, it's hard to take a bad picture.Jenn worked with us quite a lot on the menu. We're foodies. Some would say annoyingly thoughtful about food. And we had a lot of vegetarians at our event. Jenn and her chef worked with us to create one of our favorite recipes which received tons of complements from meat eaters and vegetarians alike. They also did a great job with all the other fare. One thing to be careful of, and we've already mentioned this to them, at the time of our event, they only worked with one DJ company. We found them to be professional, but slightly expensive. And as we have friends who are DJs, it was a bummer not to be able to work with someone we already knew and loved. Additionally, to get a DJ with a lot of experience, you'll have to pony up to their highest level.We also appreciated their vendor day. That's where we discovered our dessert caterer who did a phenomenal job on our cupcakes. We made it even more complicated for them by having a non-traditional schedule for our event. We did away with the garter tossing and cake cutting style moments. We wanted to focus on the dancing, eating, and drinking. I cannot say enough good things about Kennolyn! From the moment I got on the phone with Jenn I knew we had found our wedding site. She was so sweet, helpful, and in control- she was prompt and genuinely wanted us to have the best wedding ever. The venue is a good template for any style of wedding, but with the redwood forests, ocean views, and hacienda style courtyards we felt like it was the perfect spot for a "whimsical outdoorsy" wedding of 150 guests. The drive in is windy, so for some guests it might be a little out of the way, but since so many of our guests were staying nearby - it felt detached enough for it's own magical atmosphere while not being inconvenient. I loved that it was so pretty already, not many embellishments were needed. And the fact that your price is all inclusive means heat lamps, linens, even signage is all included. I knew the second that I walked onto the Hacienda patio that this was the place I wanted to get married, and it turned out incredible! Â The Hacienda is warm and inviting and looks spectacular all lit up at night. We were married in the Redwood grove and our pictures are incredible. Â Most of our guests were from out of town and they are still all raving about how breathtaking it was. Not only do you get a great venue, but you get your own wedding coordinator to walk you through the process. Jenn made planning everything so straight forward and easy. She was also a great calming presence on our wedding day. Jenn and her whole team are super sweet and easy to work with. They definitely have your best interest in mind and Jenn, the coordinator, responds quickly to any questions or concerns you might have throughout the process. It's so nice to not have to worry about being in charge of the ceremony and reception set up and break down so you and your family can just enjoy yourselves wedding weekend. There aren't enough nice things I can say about the Kennolyn team; especially Jenn and Janine. They made our wedding seriously magical! We were married on 10.8.16 and also rented out the camp for an adult camp weekend, which I highly recommend. From start to finish in booking with them, they will be there during the entire process to help guide you. They are quick to respond to emails, thoughtful in their suggestions, hands-on during the wedding day, friendly and just lovely. They are the kindest, most thoughtful women I've ever worked it. They loved my dog as if it was their own and made sure all of our family and friends were taken care of.The venue itself is beyond beautiful with views to the sea, the food was delicious and we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our special day. Music Now DJs were amazing at my wedding! Seriously, my only regret is not hiring them for longer! They were so accommodating and really understood the type of music I wanted to play.
I got so many compliments about how fantastic the DJ was, and really I can't think of a single thing they could have done for it to be more perfect. They were so friendly toward everyone, played to the feeling of the room, got everyone dancing, and never missed a beat.
Everything from the music for our entrance, first dance, daddy/daughter dance, mother/son dance, the special song for my mother, and the TWO farewell songs (I couldn't decide, so he played both and it worked SO well) were just perfect. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself "book them for longer, trust me" because I just can't get over how perfect it was. I also got compliments from my other vendors that needed a mic or amplification that Music Now DJs know exactly what they are doing. They have their job down to perfection. There is no curve ball they can't handle and everyone will thank you for picking a vendor so competent and talented. I can't say enough good things about them, so I will just say a big "Thank you! Our day went off without a hitch thanks to you!" :)

I can't say enough great things about Kennolyn! We had our wedding at Kennolyn in July and could not have asked for a better venue. Â The view is breathtaking, the food was fantastic (the mashed potatoes were to die for), and most of all the event coordinators and staff were extremely helpful and easy to work with. Â Our wedding was a success due to Jenn, our event coordinator and the rest of the staff on the day of the wedding. Â Jenn communicated with us throughout our entire process, getting back to us right away with any questions. Â Also, the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly due to Jenn and the staff taking care of things behind the scenes and keeping everyone calm and taken care of (down to finding a pin for my Mom's corsage when it broke). Â She was a pleasure to work with and made what could be a stressful event into a stress free, enjoyable wedding. Â All of our guests keep raving about our wedding and how beautiful the venue was and how smooth everything ran. Â I wish we could do it all over again...it went by way too fast. Â If you are looking for an outdoor venue to have your wedding, look no further, as Kennolyn is a beautiful spot in which you have all to yourself and your guests. Â No other wedding is planned the same day. Â Also, Jenn and the rest of the staff are extremely helpful, easy to work with and are flexible with your ideas. Â It is a bit of a drive up to the venue, which could be a problem for some people, but we hired a shuttle service to take people to and from the wedding so they didn't have to worry about driving. Â It all worked out perfectly. Â Our only complaint...we wish it could have lasted longer, the venue stops at 9pm, but it was the perfect amount of time because it ended on a high note and everyone having fun. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Anyone can play music, but it requires EXPERIENCE! An experienced DJ has the ability to read a crowd and know when to play certain songs, and knows what music to play. A vast knowledge of all genres of music is very important. Plus having a strong and clear voice is ideal.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We have a very versatile style. That is needed for the different musical tastes and ages. We are not cheesy. But we know how to entertain our clients and their guests without crossing the Cheesy DJ line.
What do you love most about your job?
The excitement we get from our clients and guests when we know we are playing the right kind of music for that specific crowd. Plus the positive response from guests when we play an obscure song they never thought we'd play. There's a specific talent we have in fitting in an obscure song while the dance floor is packed with out losing your dancers.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I went to Broadcasting School to be a Radio DJ/Announcer. I also played live music all over the bay area. One of the nightclubs we played at frequently, changed form having live music, to DJ'd music. I was able to adjust from singing and playing to being a live dance DJ very easily due to my music knowledge. I was one of 5 DJs that worked at this night club. Eventually, a newly engaged couple approached me about being the DJ at their wedding. Our community got such great positive feedback, that due to word of mouth, there was a huge calling for more DJs. So I hired several people and trained them to DJ. It turned into a full time business. We are still full time today!
Why should our clients choose you?
We were the trend setters here in our area. Other DJs and DJ companies mirrored their services from watching how we conduct business. We are very versatile and can handle any musical taste and age ranges. We play music from the 20s to current music. Plus we have knowledge of all types of music. i.e. Latin, Country, 50s, 60s, Big Band, Bollywood, and much much more! We have over 25 years of experience and have seen many situations during that time. It has been quite the learning experience. We are licensed, insured, plus we have on call emergency personal.
