Came here for my weekly meats after just moving to Huntington. The service was very good. Everything is so delicious at Mr Sausage!  They have a huge selection of fresh made pasta dishes, salads, sausage, sauces, cheeses, olives desserts, etc. ... The brothers that own and run the store are friendly and patient because it isn't always easy to choose from the huge selection. We've had their fresh made mozarella several times and it's terrific. Couldn't see this hidden gem off  from rte 110you have to know its there.i went in wanting chopped beef and walked out with all kinds of Italian specialty items; cheese,salads,chicken,pork,tiramisu. If you like Sausages, this is the only place you should be shopping. Authentic, fresh, and incredibly hard workers. I enjoy going here as often as I can. I love to gather ingredients here to make an authentic Italian lunch or dinner, and this is also my go to spot for anything I need when having a family get together. Great place for ready made Italian goodies!! Bring your wallet though the prices are not cheap but worth it for the quality and quantity you get. I have not experienced bad service here but I do okay good with a regular customer who has going to the store for years. I love the chicken salad it's my personal favorite. I have also enjoyed the Nutella Cannoli yes I said it a cannoli with Nutella It it.. enough said about that desert. I have also tried the 5.00 special penne,sausage garlic and oil it's good and a great deal. I tried to sample different things every time I go into the store. My notable mentions would be the fried prosciutto and asparagus, grape tomato and celery and caper salad,the rice balls with meat,spinach and feta bread. This place is the Italian grandmother you never had. Super well stocked, very inexpensive for the quality. The sunday sauce is spectacular: meatballs, sausage, braciole in red sauce. I can't believe I've never written a review to this GEM.Owner is FOB, which is ALWAYS a good sign at an italian deli.What have I had here? -- Many different types of the stuffed ravioli -- Always DELICIOUS and a must have in your freezer for that time *of the month* when you just NEED PASTA.Rice balls -- This is a crowd. pleaser.  Because who the heck doesn't like rice balls?  I have brought this to friends houses and they always ask for more.Pasta special - $5 - either pasta with sausage or mushroom ravioli - Super cheap, very generous portions, and tasty.Dips - They are QUITE pricey,($14.99/lb) but great quality.  I've had the spicy asiago and the walnut gorgonzola and both are dynamite.Homemade Tiramisu -  Gone in like 30 seconds.  Five stars all around to this joint! JAN 2015 These are my go to guys for catering! Everything that they have is FRESH! Amazing salads, dressings, cold cuts, heros, pasta, sauces, Meats ( stuffed pork chops are out of this world) and the fennel sausage is amazing. I have frequent large lunches that I need prepared, and They always come up with great ideas for different things.  They give you so much food, and they are very reasonable. I really like this store. I started buying their ravioli two years ago after I complimented a restaurant owner on his ravioli  and the  restaurant owner told me that all the restaurants buy Mr. Sausages ravioli. They make this ravioli fresh each day. Today I brought home short rib ravioli and was a major hero with the kids.  The food here is so fresh, the employees seem to love their jobs, and the four brothers really do a great job. WE were able to try several of the sauces--we found the Alfredo was kinda tasteless but the Vodka sauce was delicious!  We'll try to get back regularly--the pasta looks good and we'd like to try them.  Staff seemed friendly.  Not the cheapest but sometimes you have to pay to get the good stuff. I recently moved to Huntington and a good friend of mine told me about Mr. Sausage, as I love to cook and eat! I walked in and felt like a mouse in a cheese factory! I didn't know where to start! One of the owners, Joe greeted me and we started talking - like we were old friends. He was offering me samples of everything and it was all delicious. The pre-made salads were delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered a couple of heros; prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and roasted peppers. It was incredible. The bread was great, prosciutto thinly sliced. I also brought home some lamb sausage. I haven't had this type of sausage since my grandfather used to pick it up from the butcher in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. Once again, incredible. Many of the reviews talk about the price. The food is not cheap, but the quality of the food is worth every penny. This is the Peter Luger's of Italian Food Markets! I'll be there regularly. More...

This is a nice, seemingly little Italian store near the heart of Huntington Village. It's truly a specialty store. There is a butcher section with many different types of meats and several different types of specialty Italian sausages. It certainly lives up to the name Mr. Sausage. Expensive but worth it. Doesn't get fresher than this, the ravioli is hand-made daily. I've tried several kinds and for me, so far, there are two stand outs. ..the 3 cheese and the gorgonzola walnut. Best ravioli on Long Island (made in-store). Several varieties of rice balls, all great. Soups great. Packaged goods incredibly well-chosen and fairly priced. Service friendly and efficient. This is several cuts above even the highest level of Italian delis. Where to begin?  Mr Sausage is a small Italian market that can do no wrong.It receives the coveted 5 stars because I have enjoyed everything I have tried form the place.  Prepare to spend some cash; however it is worth the added expense.Skirt steaks marinated in Peter Luger sauce, steak pinwheels, Captain Crunch chicken fingers, fresh bread, fresh pasta, homemade sausages (try the spinach and feta), fresh mozzarella, marinara / pesto / vodka / honey mustard sauces are all terrific.There are also a large amount of spreads, olives and cheeses in the back.  They have Italian hero's made to order as well as tons of other stuff (apps, diff cuts of meat, pastas, etc) that I have not been able to taste yet (in due time my friend, in due time).Get over here and pick up some items to have a kick arse bbq/picnic asap.  Do not forget my invite.Tip: They sell a large container of pasta with sausage, garlic and oil for $5 for lunch every day. What is a vegetarian doing writing a review for a place called Mr. Sausage? Well you might be surprised to find out that they have an incredible amount of vegan/vegetarian friendly items. The grilled portobello heads are amazing and so are the stuffed peppers. They have really good rice balls as well. They also have all of their handmade pastas frozen ....all you have to do is boil them up and add a little sauce (which they also sell too) and  enjoy! So many different varieties. You can also order a hero of your choice from here. I haven't tried anything yet but you know i'll be back to try those portobellos in sandwich form with a lil mozz.Yummy!It isnt cheap but you pay for quality like this. Worth every penny. More...

The best italian food!! OMG there homemade sausage is unbelievable! Fresh homemade mozzarella the best I ever had. The service is great & the people that work there are always so helpful & give great ideas for dinner if your looking for something new to make.
