Went to a food truck event in Kingston, Moyzilla food truck was selling their sample bowl for 9 dollars; chicken, noodles, and dumplings. I had a little bit of everything from 4 trucks there and Moyzilla was definitely the best in terms of flavor and value. The dumplings were amazing and the chicken was great as well. More...

The short and sweet of it is that this is one of the strongest food truck options in downtown Boston. Service was friendly and quick (although there were only 2 other customers when I ordered. ) Food was yummy with only very minor flaws. I order the dumpling meal box + $1 spring roll. Here's the breakdown: Dumplings - This is what you come here for. The pork inside is cooked to perfection and they have such a good balance of flavor. They are fried (pan-fried, probably) to golden perfection. The fry adds a great textural element to the dumpling. Dipping sauce - So, so, SO good. As far as I could tell it was soy sauce, green onion, sesame oil, and ginger. There was enough ginger that it built up at the bottom of the cup that they gave you (which, in my opinion, is the perfect amount!) Maybe some additional spices are also included. While it is a pretty run of the mill pairing with the dumplings, you can't mess with something that tasty! I would pay an upcharge for more of this stuff. Garlic noodles - A thick Asian noodle. A good filler to make the box worth $10 and a reasonable sized lunch. A good flavor level, on the more mild side. Mine were a little bit dry, but using some of the extra dipping sauce brought them back to being a supremely good noodle. Asian slaw - The first few bites of the slaw were refreshingly crunchy and had a good tangy flavor. I believe it was napa cabbage dressed with a pretty simple vinegar dressing. As I ate the slaw it became obvious that the dressing wasn't distributed evenly throughout the slaw. There was not nearly enough dressing for the amount of slaw there. Using more dressing or adding an emulsifier to the dressing so it distributes more evenly would help, but that's something only the kitchen can do. If I were to order again, I'd throw some sriracha on top for some extra flavor. Spring roll - Very basic spring roll. Yummy! Very consistent crunchy texture on the outside that complemented the filling well. Service - High quality service. Lots of younger people working. Very competent and quick. Good rapport with customers that allows interactions to feel positive, special, and friendly without taking any more time out of your lunch hour. Price - I thought it was a fair price for the amount of food. I spend 11 total. They accept card via Square but they run your card inside the truck so you will not get a chance to tip on the card. If you would like to tip bring cash! More...

I'm kind of a food snob and have a love for food trucks but am almost always left disappointed. I ventured out in the rain tonight with my 1yr old and 3yr old. The rain poured down as we got our food and my kids were grumpy. I got back to the car and said to myself "that was not worth the effort.." Then I opened my meal. Holy Crap! It was unbelievable. Japanese Chicken and noodles were outstanding. Asian slaw was also very good! well done guys!! More...

The dumplings are good. Very good. Seared to a golden brown, moist and savory inside. Dipped in the soy sauce they give you, I could eat them for hours. I wouldn't have any problem with just ordering a couple sides of the dumplings alone, and skipping the noodles and other sides that come with the meal box.The slaw is meant to be a clean, refreshing counterpart to an otherwise heavy and salty dish, but it wasn't dressed enough for me. Just felt more like I was eating raw, hard lettuce that didn't blend well with the rest of the ingredients in the box. If I could swap out the slaw with the noodles, I'd prefer that. The noodles are a great base to the meal box. A greasy, slightly garlicky, savory distraction to help you ration the dumplings so you can run out of noodles at the same time you run out of dumplings. They bring out some flavor in the slaw if you mix them together. For an extra dollar you can add a spring roll. It's a standard spring roll; nothing incredible but still tasty. Worth the extra dollar. It's a great way to use the rest of the sesame ginger soy dipping sauce, after your dumplings have been annihilated.Overall a very strong truck: one of the better trucks in Boston. Great food, it comes out fast, and the staff is polite: "Have a good meal!" as they give you your food. For a quick-service food truck, I can look past the undressed slaw to give them a solid four stars.A fair warning, the line for this truck gets extremely long. Show up early! More...

I was in the Copley Square area deciding which food truck to visit and saw this one with a long line. I knew it had to be good with that many people waiting. They offer dumplings and Japanese fried chicken meal boxes. I was a little disappointed there was not a meal box for both of these options so I had to order 2 sides which came to $11. Not too bad for good portions. I was not crazy about the dumplings, Chinatown takes the top prize in Boston for those. But the fried chicken with sriracha aioli was amazing and I would definitely get again! Definitely recommend this food truck. Wait was probably 15-20 mins combined standing in line and waiting for food. More...
