Luis and his team (5 guys in total) were amazing. They worked tirelessly for 11 hours. They were flexible, accommodating and exceptionally competent throughout the long day. We had some extremely heavy items that they handled flawlessly. They wrapped and unwrapped everything. No dings, no damage. And, they smiled the whole time. I recommend them 100%!! More...

The job that Luis and his team performed was poor. They were hired to pack and load my 1BR apartment into a standard sized U-Pack Cube for 4-5 hours and to provide materials. The team arrived promptly, was courteous and worked very quickly with the packing. I estimate they finished the packing in ~2 hours. We then waited for approximately 90 minutes for the U-Pack Cube to be dropped off. The team took "a break" as there was downtime and nothing to do. That is understandable.The problem was that the team did not do a sufficient job of loading the items into the cube -- and as it turns out -- did not do a sufficient job either of packing my items into boxes efficiently. The team left close to 10 items--some pieces of furniture and 1 box--and claimed they could not fit it in. I was shocked, as I had made a similar move with a similar amount of items from NYC to Oakland, using the same size cube. Luis seemed very eager to wrap up the job and move on. He did not express any interest in wanting to staying longer to remove items from the cube and do a proper packing job. When the time came to pay -- the payment app required me to leave gratuity.Not willing to leave all of these crucial items behind, I hired two Task Rabbit workers that very day. The 3 of us took a few hours to re-pack the cube, properly. We had to open up boxes that Luis and his team packed, only to discover that many of the boxes were less than full, thus taking up unnecessary space! We managed to pack a majority of the left behind furniture items (certainly the most important pieces) into the cube and all of the revised boxes.This was not what I expected from a professional moving service (and especially not at their price point). I had reached out to them for an explanation and partial refund but they gave no response. I will not be recommending this service to anyone in my community in The Bay Area. More...

Luis and Byron were fantastic! They were quick, efficient, and so kind, making the stressful experience of moving alone feel like a pleasure. I highly recommend them and Moving Forward in general. The quote process was fast and easy, they confirmed via text up until the move so there was no question of wondering if anyone would show up. These guys have helped me move THREE times over the years, and if I need to move in the future, Moving Forward will be at the top of my list. I can't recommend them enough.Luis and his crew are flexible, sometimes on very minimal notice (like 2-3 days!), and they're efficient. They come in like an organized whirlwind with a complete tool kit for anything that needs to be taken apart (AND they assemble anything that needs to be put back together in your new place). He came quickly to do a free, in-person walkthrough to provide a detailed quote. I put in requests for quotes from several SF moving companies. Not only was Moving Forward's quote the lowest, they also responded the quickest! Within 5 minutes of my requesting a quote, I received a phone call from their office. They asked me what I needed moving, walked me through what they could provide, and let me reserve the cancellable moving reservation for only $1.00 on my credit card. I received emails confirming my reservation and quote and felt confident about my choice.Then comes move-in day. Moving Forward texts me the day before to confirm moving, and the movers show up promptly at 8 AM day-of. The movers wrapped all of our furniture, informed us of when things were already damaged so that everyone was on the same page, and disassembled/reassembled furniture day-of! They provided complimentary wardrobe boxes and even extra moving boxes. The movers also helped us move unwanted furniture into the garage (so we could dispose of later). Moving Forward was efficient, extremely careful, and incredibly kind. They obviously went the extra mile! We were done with our move within the quoted time frame and Moving Forward even gave us a 5% discount for paying in cash.We tipped 20% and the movers absolutely deserved it because they did an excellent job -- please remember to tip your movers!I recommend Moving Forward and will be using their services in the future. Moving Forward just finished moving our single family home into a new place. They did this pretty much perfectly, and I plan on using them again soon, to move back. There were a few complicating factors: I had an elaborate home office set up, and we needed to store a lot of things in storage, because the destination house was smaller. They were very careful, but still smooth and fast, when moving all these things. And I liked how they made it pretty easy to set up the computers and home office when we arrived, because they only disassembled as much as necessary. For example, they left the monitor support arms wired up, Â just unplugged, and all the wires were in one box, so I just had to replug in things and I'm back up and online with work.They did the whole move in one day with a large team and two trucks, including packing things up. This is especially welcome, so that we only had to take one day off in order to get through this.Since it was a local move, they boxed up refrigerator and freezer food at the end, and we were able to use all of it, nothing got wasted.Very easy to communicate with before (text and phone and email all were easy) and during the move too. And everyone was very nice too!The cost was hourly plus fuel and such, no surprises.So this is exactly what I hoped for: fast, competent moving at a fair price. Luis and team were really great. They were so hard-working and so organized and professional. All three guys were highly productive the whole time. No one was ever idle. Each guy carried two boxes at a time throughout the whole move. And they were super careful. When they carried a heavy piece of furniture through doorways and around corners, Luis monitored all the edges to make sure the furniture never hit. Luis made sure every piece was properly protected before they moved it. They took time to make sure they placed the furniture exactly where I wanted it, without making me feel rushed. They were happy to assemble my TV and anything else. They really went above and beyond, even helping me re-seat a door hinge after they had stopped the clock. They made the move a pleasure. I was referred to this business by my realtor. Â I was struck by the friendliness of the person on the phone and the promptness of his follow up emails. Â The only thing I would point out that he assigned us only 2 men when we actually needed 3. Â Here's where the movers-- Elder and Luis really shined. Â They showed up right on time, worked efficiently and yet with care and respect. Â It was really enough work for 3, and it took them 9 hours to finish the job. Â Despite the long day, they never waivered in the amount of care and attention they showed to our belongings, to us, and to our dog. we selected Moving Forward based on good reviews and we had an awesome experience. should be given more than 5 stars.process to book was organized and tech savvy. we got COI exactly as was requested by HOA in 2-3 days.movers showed up on time at 8 am in the morning. it was Luis and 1 more person.they did such an amazing job of moving so much of our stuff in such a safe manner that we were so happy. very easy to work with and communication in English was perfect. very understanding of different instructions and requests.they wrapped everything in plastic wrap and used blankets for all furniture. we moved a big 3 seater recliner, large bookshelf, 65 inch LG oled tv, TV cabinet with glass windows, tall dressing mirror, ping pong table, 2 king mattresses and bed frames.they worked very fast and hard and efficiently. it took us 7 hours to complete the move for all the stuff we had from large items to small items.very fair and transparent pricing and we can pay using credit card. win-win for everyone.will definitely reuse Moving Forward movers again in future and recommend them to everyone.Special thanks to Luis and his partner for being the best movers ever and awesome humans. If I could give Luis and team 6 stars, I would and I don't say that lightly. Luis and his men came on time and with a helpful, respectful and friendly spirit. They were respectful, accommodating and professional. Examples of why I gave them 5+ stars: - Extremely responsive customer service, they always followed up and everyone from the phone representative to Luis (the owner) to his men were all fantastic- They included wardrobe boxes for us- They were SUPER accommodating with certain requests I had regarding our carpet and a very special couch that I personally moved the last 2/3 moves but trusted Louis and team- NEW Trucks - very organized, i was impressed with their service - from customer service to their trucks to their people - really great- Luis, the owner was moving alongside his men. When I told him my husband was reluctant to adjust our crib, HE DID it himself!
