I have bought three brand new trucks from THREE WAY CHEVROLET.  I love the trucks.  I've always had a great experience with sales, parts and service.  I bought a new truck in April 2017.  I've had in for service several times over the last year and a half.  The SERVICE DEPARTMENT is not what it use to be.  One occasion they gave me another persons truck.  One time they rotated the tires and didn't reset the tire pressure sensors. Another occasion they left off several lugs on a rear wheel.  I've taken it in three times to deal with a POPPING NOISE in the front suspension.  Each time they said it wasn't anything they could fix.   Last week It was repaired at GMC MOTOR CITY.  They diagnosed and repaired the problem.   Buy from MOTOR CITY or get your Chevrolet serviced at RICHLAND CHEVY in Shafter. Went for my recall notice Service. New car already recall really gmc but it was just the software update . I had made appointment before and I was there early . I was immediately taken care by the service manager and was advised less than two hours to fix it . Their waiting room is decent and once your vehicles is done the cashier will call you and after paying ( in my case it was free) your vehicle is all yours . After a disastrous encounter with another dealer (see my review of Vacaville GMC), I found Motor City on line.  I worked with Richard del Rosario over the phone and text to set up the purchase of my new truck (2018 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali Diesel dually).  This process could not have been easier.  I took a train down to the dealership and even though he couldn't be there in person, Richard made sure I had a ride from the station to the showroom.  When I arrived, I was met by Javier who treated me with respect.  There was no pressure, just people who seemed to enjoy their job and were happy I was there.  The entire process was quick and smooth.  They even found another GM rebate the earlier dealer didn't know about (or care to offer).  Even though they are quite a way from my house, my next new vehicle will, without question, come  from Motor City. Jorge oropeza is amazing. I got dropped off in a lyft with my boyfriend and his mother praying we would get to be able to get a car. We arrived at 11 and he got us a car by 2:30. He helped us find the perfect car for us having a baby, and he even gave us a terrific deal and money off including oil changes for the first few months and a full tank of gas I am very impressed I had to walk out of dodge yesterday after a horrible experience I am more than happy,  HOWEVER I am NOT impressed with the woman who was getting all of my DMV paperwork..she was very rude and nosey and didn't accept the fact I didn't want the extended protection. She keeps asking why this why that she even asked why we moved to Bakersfield which is very rude. Took the car in for lube n oil service. Todd was great. very friendly and answered in detail about the additional service i needed on my vehicle. While waiting on the service. My wife decided to look at some new cars. Jorge helped her look around. Made us feel really comfortable and was not pushy at all. Very knowledgable on his vehicles. Truck broke down at midnight on our way up to Yosemite.  Thought we'd get to service bay early and wait hoping to be first in line thinking they'd check us in at 7. William checked us in even earlier. He immediately understood our concerns, did a quick read on our engine code so we could make plans for sticking around or getting a rental based on suspected issue.  He was able to get the techs to work on it very quickly. We were back on the road before 9am!! Quality amenities while waiting were wonderful: Fresh fruit (pears apples bananas) yogurt (brand name), oatmeal, granola bars, coffee tea etc.  Everyone was very nice. Really appreciated working with a William. He appropriately quoted us for the immediate fix, a slightly more comprehensive fix, and additional related item. We discussed it and he was very respectfula of our decision to choose a conservative fix for now.  Although we live about 150 miles south and hope to not return we know we have a service center we can rely on when traveling. My family and I were on our way home from San Francisco after a check engine light came on. I knew by the time we would arrive home, all the local parts departments would be closed. Jerry was helpful and friendly. He was able to look up the part I needed even though my vehicle is a Chevy. Turns out this place is the major GM parts supplier for the Bakersfield area. Recently bought a Buick from Motor City. This was easily one of the nicest if not THE nicest car buying experiences we've ever had. For one the dealership is beautiful. They have a very large selection of models and the people were very friendly. Our salesman Greg was patient and really helpful while we searched for the car we wanted. While making the deal the mysterious sales manager (you know, the one who your salesman goes back to talk to about your offer ) that is always in the back actually came and talked to us directly so he could explain where he was at and we could explain what we needed. Ultimately we made the deal we hoped for and after a short 10 minutes with  the finance guy signing papers (he's very good ) we had a new car. No pressure sales and friendly people, what a concept. Long story short, we were long time customers of another local dealership and had a "falling out" so to speak. In search of another dealership at which to spend our money, we arrived at Motor City after a brief, yet infuriating visit to another dealership just minutes earlier.  As it turns out, we know quite a few folks over there at Motor City which made it that much enticing to select you as our new car buying headquarters.  Mo is top notch, I like that kid a lot - and I'm a tough egg to crack.  Chris was rad, Jerrad our finance dude was on point, too.  William & Jeff in service are great guys, and we appreciate their help. I found my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee listed on autotrader. I called and spoke with Greg Fontes and made arraignments to meet with him about purchasing the vehicle. I'm going on 8 months since I purchased my beautiful GMC Sierra Denali Crew Cab. This truck is simply amazing! I wish it had AC vents in the back seat as it is hot as hell in Bakersfield, CA, but I knew this when I bought this amazing machine. I still want everyone to know that I'm so very thankful for my salesman "Christian Patrick". This salesman is epic! Christian was so amazing in the whole buying process. He knew exactly what I wanted in my truck. He introduced me to the Sales Manager and took me on a tour. I was also introduced to the Parts Department. This department was so professional! I met a parts counter man "Joe Perez". He was the nicest guy and he informed me he too purchased a Sierra Denali and told me how much he loves that truck. I couldn't agree more. Well bit the bullet and purchased a 2017 GMC Sierra SLT. Jorge was our sales rep adn did an awesome job. I always hate when you pull up and you can barely get out of your car before someone is on top of you. Jorge saw us as we pulled in a gave us a little time to look before asking if there was anything he could do. We explained what we were looking for and pointed us in the right direction and said if you need anything just wave him down adn he would come a help. He gave us space to talk without being aggressive. We too him what we were looking for and without a blink said I think he has one in the back which he did. Did the test drive told him we wanted to look at different brands before making the final decision which in this case 2 days later we made the big purchase. We really like GMC quality and have always been given great service at Motor City. From the person who answers the phone, to the greeter, to the service supervisor, to the mechanic, I have never had a complaint.  I prefer to wait for my car to be serviced and appropriate a comfortable waiting room with snacks, Starbucks coffee and a widescreen tv. We have found Motor City Buick GMC to be unlike any other dealerships out there. Buying our cars there has been stressless and completely void of the drama you have come to expect. We have traded in once and the offer was more than fair and the treatment by our salesman Brett Kieke has been exceptional both times. Brad was very helpful. Although my car did stay at the dealer for a good 4 days, Brad kept me updated on what extras the car might need, when parts were on the way, and when it would be serviced. All via text, which is extremely convenient for me since I work in an office in which I am limited to personal phone calls. He would respond to my questions promptly, and always had an answer. I also asked him (on the second day) if he could add a smog to my list of services needed. He did without any problem. There was another Gentlemen cant remember his name clearly but he took me to my car in a golf car... after a tiresome long day being on my feet he made me feel really well taken care of. We were heading back to our home in Arizona, climbing out of Bakersfield pulling our 35 foot 5th wheel trailer towards Tehachapi, when our 2015 Denali Duramax went in to low power mode (10 MPH) apparently due to a major engine problem. Fortunately we made it to the Arvin turn-off which headed us back downhill to Bakersfield. Being as it was a Friday afternoon I didn't expect much help and of course Motor City GMC was very busy. With my large trailer in tow we had to park in front of the dealership in the middle of the street. After explaining my problems to Service Advisor Jason Book he immediately followed me back out in to the street with traffic whizzing by to perform a quick electronic diagnosis of the problem.  Apparently my turbocharger was failing. I was very impressed with the speed and accuracy of Jason's diagnosis and commend him for taking time to explain the repair process and to get the parts ordered that same Friday afternoon. Apparently a failure of this sort is rare and requires major surgery including lifting the entire cab off of the frame.The following week the parts arrived and I was told they would begin the repairs early the next morning. I had to see how the turbo was installed so I went in the back to the service bays and snapped the attached picture. There I met master technician Nick, who had already begun work on my truck.  Nicks service bay reminded me of a super clean surgery center.   Totally professional operation!My Denali performed flawlessly on our long trip back home. I've purchased quite a few cars in the past but motor city takes the win !!!! They were very professional in regards to the wheeling in dealing in the amount of the car. My salesman ( Jaber Subeh ) was trying very hard to get me the very best deal . Never pressure me like the other salesman . We did go back and forth but it was not like some other dealerships. We purchased our sixth car today from Motor City GMC. We also bought a Lexus from Motor City last year. We choose to buy at Motor City because of the excellent employees and the great customer service we have experienced. We worked with Steve Floyd the internet sales manager on getting the pricing that we wanted this week. Today we went in to meet with Steve and he was very easy to work with. The excellent service and pricing made my decision easy to purchase a GMC instead of a Ford even though I've owned four Fords. Also the overall build, options and ride quality of the GMC Denali 2500 was in a completely different league compared to the Ford F-250. I took my Terrain in to get the recall on the fuel pump fixed. The work was done quickly and the employees were very nice at drop off and pick up. When I came to pick up my car, I accidentally locked my keys in the trunk. Somehow the keys got lodged in the door jam of the trunk. This caused all the doors to lock which locked my 4 month old son in the car alone! A technician quickly got my doors unlocked and a group of them spent a long time helping us look for our key. They eventually found where they were and asked us to leave the car overnight so a technician could pop the panel off in the morning to get our keys. The whole experience, while very stressful, went smoothly and was solved thanks to the help of the employees in the service department. They were all so sweet and helpful! They went above and beyond what they needed to do but we greatly appreciate the kindness they showed us! They also did not charge us for the extra time they spent looking. More...
