My husband and I recently spent a few nights in the lovely town of Skaneateles, NY and found Moro’s Kitchen while looking for a casual, yet good local restaurant. We absolutely love this place so much that we enjoyed dinner there both nights we were in town! The atmosphere was perfect and the food was outstanding! I think we ordered mostly from their nightly specials, so a trip back to check out their regular menu is in our plans. Tony waited on us both nights and he checked all the boxes for us. House made pasta of the day on the menu as a feature. WithShrimp and Vodka Sauce, African Spiced Bolognese, Mushroom Ragu Truffle Oil or a simple pasta and meatballs. You can't miss. The sauce covered house made rigatonis was rich, flavorful and one of the best. The homemade lasagna did not disappoint. We started with Fried Calamari red sauce & chili peppers was a perfect way to start our epicurean journey. You need a reservation when close to the weekend. Great selection of wine and beer and we finished with of course homemade cannoli's. This is the 3rd time we have been here and by far the best. We had a big group for my sister-in-law's birthday and they handled it without a hitch. Tony is the man! We will be back soon and I am saying that 'cause I live in Nevada. Cheers to Moro's. More...

We came to Moro's for a birthday and family reunion. They were amazing from the start. So accommodating with reservations. Tony our waiter went above and beyond. I have eaten at the restaurant a couple of times and I encourage a reservation (one of the very few places in town where you can actually make a reservation for a small party). We had a reservation on the patio and were seated at the last table around the side next to the A/C unit, despite all but one of the street-side tables being open. Compounding this annoyance, our server took forever to take our drink order and was rarely seen the rest of the evening. A friend of mine went by and picked up our order to go, and brought it to the campgrounds that we were staying at. This place really does it right! It was packaged up perfectly, and every single item in my dinner was STUPENDOUSLY good. The specialty cocktail was fantastic also. And then me and hubs, we shared the apple crisp dessert. Lucky us we travelled up from Long Island and chose Moro's Kitchen to host our daughters surprise engagement party. Lindsay listened, Josh the manager listened, the bartender and the Chef listened to our wish list and this very special celebration was an absolute success. We ordered every appetizer on the menu and recommend it all! We had an amazing happy hour at the bar with friendly and very prompt professional service and fantastic food. We had a private dining room I dont ever remember seeing our server but I was never ever looking for him. Our glasses were always full, our food came out hot all at the same time, and then SILENCE as all of us enjoyed every bite. We wouldn't change a single thing. I took my family here for my wife's birthday and couldn't have had a better experience! Loved the first impression with an updated interior in an old beautiful stone building. The menu had a wide selection. Started with oysters and calamari. Both were perfect. The house special Sunday gravy with house remade meatballs, beef braciole, sausage and penne pasta was great. It was served with a solid Caesar salad. Shrimp and vodka sauce, pizza, mushroom Ragu scented with truffles and the seafood cioppino were all enjoyed by the fam. Had a variety of deserts at the table that were all enjoyed. The service was fantastic as Tony took great care of us. Although they only serve beer and wine, they did nail the espresso martini with a chocolate wine. A must try if you are so inclined. Overall we had a high quality experience for our Queen's day.
