This is a pretty nice Marriott with a modern decor all around. Internet:Sucked badly. Connection was spotty in the room (I was in a corner room on the 11th floor) and even Internet TV options such as Crackle would take a long time buffering. It was even worse using the internet on the iMac in the lobby. Bonvoy members: For those choosing the $10 food and beverage credit it appears it's for the entire stay as opposed to each night. I had a two-night stay so not sure if that played a part but in comparison the Courtyard Marriott gives you a voucher for each night. The other option is to go with the 1000 points. Dining:Only ate one item but the Caesar Salad was pretty darn good and there is a variety of non traditional add on for $5 options such as steak and scallops. The croutons had a sweetness to them which was a welcome change as well. As of 10/17/19 the price on the restaurant menu showed at $9 but they charged $10 which is the same price shown on the in-room menu. Speaking of rooms...The rooms: Modern look with hardwood floors. I was upgraded to the Executive 2 Queen Beds room which included a mini fridge that has a see through door. The bathroom was large and included three towels but two wash cloths and hand towels. The one aspect I didn't like was the mildew in the shower area. I had to lay down a towel as I wasn't just comfortable standing barefoot. I hope Marriott takes a look at that. You may need to adjust the shower head before turning on the water. Noise isolation could use improvement as I could hear the person in the room next to me talking but was able to fall asleep without much hinderance. I didn't hear noise from anyone opening and closing their doors. Lounge:For those with lounge access it is open from Sunday evening through Friday morning but not 24 hours. Breakfast hours are from 6:30-10 I believe and the evening reception is from 5:30-7:30. Dessert is from 7:30-10. They serve finger foods such as pot stickers,  spring rolls along with a veggie tray that includes cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, celery , red and green peppers and ranch dipping all sitting on ice and covered which is a nice touch. Other places have them out at room temperature where ppl can breath on it.Parking:Hotel charges $12 each night for in/out parking using a shared parking garage. If you plan on leaving once for work and stay in till the next you can just pay the garage for $10 at 24 hours. Otherwise it's a charge for 1 hr, 2 hrs, etc. More...

I've been to Bourbon Prime for dinner a few times and have always enjoyed every aspect of my dining experience, but today was my first time going for Sunday brunch and it was top notch! We decided to go for the buffet, which was essentially a high end continental breakfast. Considering the restaurant is part of a nice hotel, this was to be expected. The made to order omelets, the best sausage links I've ever had on a buffet, and fresh fruit were the highlights of my meal! The staff was friendly and attentive and we will definitely be back for brunch very soon! It beats every other brunch I've had in Morgantown! More...

Came to Morgantown to bring our freshman to WVU. Hotel is beautiful and comfortable, convenient to campus with a beautiful view of the river. Staff is hospitable and kind. Tucker overheard us on the way to the parking garage saying we had to go back up to the room to get our voucher. He was heading home but waited for us at the garage exit to ensure we were able to get out without a problem. Thanks, Tucker! More...

I have been here twice for special events - not for a regular meal.  Both times I was really blown away.   Our tasting included a scallop with a vanilla cream carrot puree - It may have been the best thing I ate high end all year.  This dinner was a bourbon pairing and was just so well put together.  The Manager was highly engaged, the chef came to interact with our party - Just a first call experience. I am really glad I selected this Marriott property of all the ones in the Morgantown area.  The hotel is in a good location and easily accessible.  Hotel staff was helpful at check-in and the common areas were spacious and well maintained.  The room had plenty of space (sleeping and sitting areas), was clean, sleek and modern.  I was on the 11th floor and which provided an awesome view of the rive.  The bathroom was well lit and hot water was never a problem regardless of the time.  The hallways were also modern, well lit and clean.  I was more than satisfied with the room, common areas, and fitness center.  My only criticism is the walls and floors are not well insulated for sound so you can occasionally hear your neighbors.  Easy access to riverside walking trails.  I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. I highly recommend this Courtyard if you're ever in Morgantown.My sister traveled from NY to a festival in this area but her car broke down. I was able to find her a room in this hotel and had no problems paying over the phone.  The receptionist emailed the credit card authorization for me to complete in the event my sister had to charge for incidentals. When my sister arrived to the hotel after camping for a day in the hot sun, she received nothing but warm hospitality.  I had to drive down the next day from New York and was going to be passed the standard check out time.  The hotel staff let her keep her camping gear in a corner of the lobby and she was able to hang out to wait for me.  I'd like to make a special call out to Maya at the cafe/bar.  She is awesome! We really couldn't have asked for much more for our wedding from the Marriott at Waterfront Place. The venue is quite lovely, especially when you have access to the patio.
Mellissa was wonderful to work with. We were slightly panicked when the wedding coordinator we signed on with left the Marriott, but Mellissa stepped in and absolutely rocked. She helped bring all of our ideas to a reality and made sure we enjoyed our day.

Having stayed at two different hotels in Morgantown within 5 days, this hotel is the hands down winner! I was bummed when I drove up and saw construction going on right next door, up on the hill.  I thought, great, more noise waking everyone up at 7 am.  But, it didn't happen!  No noise!  After check in, I went up to my room and saw that my room was right off the elevator area.  Went right back down to lobby and requested a room nowhere near the elevators.  The employee at the desk was very accommodating and said he had an ADA room if that was ok.  I said sure as long as I wasn't taking room from someone who needed it.  He assured me they have plenty handicapped rooms so off I went.  New room was all of the way down the hall and was very quiet!  Awesome! Room itself was spotless.  Decor was nice and room was decorated enough that it actually felt kind of cozy.  Mattress was nice, pillows great, too. You can't beat the location of this hotel - I ran to Dollar Tree, Old Navy and grabbed Panda Express for dinner - all within very close proximity.  Target is nearby, gas, Five Below, etc. I'd stay here again in a minute!  View from my room was so pretty, too! Pretty nice, and conveniently located.  I prefer the Courtyard that feels higher end, has better sound-proofing, and a view of the Mon, but if you want a kitchen and/or are a breakfast person (I'm not) then this is your place.

I love a stay at a Marriott, and this one was no exception. Warm and welcoming staff greeted me on check-in, answered all my questions, and got me directed to a room. The king studios were quite spacious, with a sofa, desk, kitchenette, king bed, and bathroom suite. Bed was standard Marriott comfort, and the heavy blinds ensured a dark sleep. The cooling system also worked quite well and had a nice reasonable hum to it that provided a little white noise to help at night. Very nice room, super friendly and helpful staff, and no trouble throughout my stay. Nice location, directly across the street from NIOSH, the hospital, and the WVU Health Sciences campus. Nice, but quirky.  Design and furnishings are unique, but not always practical.  For example, the front part of shower has a glass wall to keep water in, but the rear half has nothing, so after you get out of the shower, there is a nice big puddle on the floor.  The faucet has a stick point straight up that you move to control flow and temperature.  I guess everyone is supposed to know left is hot, and right is cold?  Because there is no "H" to or "C".  The sofa is daybed-ish so when you sit on it your halfway between sitting up and lying down.  Pros are the hotel feels solidly built, and has good sound-proofing.  Nice view if you face the river.  I appreciate that they get the NFL Network, but otherwise the TV lineup is a little on the skimpy side. Our son accidentally left his bear on the couch in our room. So we called to have them see if they could find it and send it back. They were so kind, friendly and understanding about our situation (this bear is VERY special to him, so he was pretty upset about leaving him).
