A few words about Moreland Photography and the owner Mike Moreland in regards to my fantastic new headshots!
To paraphrase the wonderful Sam Christensen of Sam Christensen studios, ". ..nature is using you... the awareness of it means it flows into your work easily and provides an open invitation for others to identify with you." His personal branding workshop is life-altering!
For an actor that means to take how an actor is perceived and make it work for you. And there is no better way to do so than with headshots. They represent who the actor is and what characters an actor is good for. It helps the casting director find a place for you in their projects, because they want to hire you!
Mike Moreland at Moreland Photography not only does a great job on his photos, but he allowed me to do something that another great headshot photographer, Catherine Dyer of Drama Inc., did... let me be me. He was just ready to capture those moments where my authentic self came through. He gave me the creative freedom, the space available, the experienced advice, and the tools on hand necessary to help me achieve what I needed to achieve.

Mike Moreland was the photographer for our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. It was an easy choice to have him as our photographer after seeing the photos he had taken of other brides and their weddings. We were glad that we did an engagement photo shoot, because not only did it give us an opportunity to see how easy it is to work with Mike, but it also gave us great pictures to use for our save the date cards and picture décor for the wedding day. We had several compliments from our friends and family members on the appearance of our Save the Date cards. Everyone loved the pictures and the layout. We worked with his office manager Tiffany to let her know what we wanted the cards to say. She was a pleasure to work with as well.On our wedding day, Mike and his assistant Lauren arrived early to take pictures of us getting ready and also to do some pictures of the family and wedding party before our wedding ceremony started. They both did a wonderful job capturing all of the details, helping us know where and how to pose, as well as making everyone feel at ease. They knew what was important to us, because not only did Mike meet with us twice prior to the wedding, but he also had a very thorough form for us to complete so that he would know what was important to us on the day of the wedding. My husband and I talked after the wedding and agreed that having a number of photos done before the ceremony started was the way to do it. It enabled us to have more time to spend visiting with our guests after the ceremony and before the reception.Mike and Lauren were able to get amazing photos of the wedding ceremony without us even realizing that they were there! They did a great job of capturing all of the endearing moments without causing a distraction. The reception that we had ended up being a bit crowded, but they still managed to be where they were needed for all of the special moments like the bouquet toss and cake cutting. Following our reception, Mike surprised us by taking photos of just my husband and me at a nearby park that has special meaning to us. The timing was perfect, because we were able to get pictures of us in our wedding attire while walking off into the sunset. It was just the type of relaxing photo session that we needed after hosting the wedding and entertaining all of our guests. The three of us had a great time together, and Mike knows photography better than anyone else we have ever met. After we returned from our honeymoon, we were shown a beautiful slide show of our wedding photography that was set to music. Mike and Tiffany chose charming music and delightful photos to make our slide show one that we wanted to watch every day for several days after we brought it home. My husband said to me, “Mike will be our family photographer from now on”. My florist said “your photographer was amazing”. Now we just can’t wait to show the images to all of our friends and family. We are so proud of our pictures that Mike and Lauren took that we are going to have a special “premier showing” for our friends to come over and enjoy them with us. Mike was a consummate professional. We went to him with the idea that we wanted to have a family photo taken. The daunting details were that my wife and I have 5 daughters and 10 grandchildren. And one daughter and her family live in CO. Fortunately the out-of-towners were planning a visit in August.I jumped on this and worked with Mike's assistants to nail down the details.Mike suggested a site that turned out to be perfect. He was able to pose the entire group in front of a fence. That worked well. Then he was aware of other sights within walking distance where he took family photos. So when we looked at the proofs ,there wasn't a lot of repetition. I'd recommend Mike to any one for weddings, family reunions, or any other special occasion. More...

I chose to do my maternity and newborn pictures with Michael. They came out spectacular. I got a baby book that I got in my package and I keep it on my coffee table and so many people inquire about it.
