I was in the mood for sweet potato fries and I was near the Colonnades, so I decided to visit this restaurant for lunch. I ordered a 1/4 beef burger, made with everything I wanted on it, fries, and a small chocolate shake. At first, I thought I'd need a knife to cut the burger in half to make it easier to hold because there was so much fixings on it. But I managed to not make too much of a mess and then it was all gone. The fries were crispy and thin. I think I'd prefer them to be a little sweeter. The single serving was a lot and I couldn't finish all of it. The shake was ok. It hit the spot but nothing extraordinary about it. I was glad to hear that their third birmngham location will be opening in Hoover, January-ish. It will be at I-459 and 150, in the Stadium Trace shopping center. The food here was pretty good, especially the bean burger. Both the sweet potato and Idaho fries were crispy with some average seasoning. Between the two, I would prefer the Idaho fries because the sweet potato fries did not taste sweet at all. In terms of service, we did not have any trouble ordering anything. Mooyah offers high-quality hamburgers at a reasonable price. The meat is excellent, and the variety of toppings makes this one of the best burgers in town. Add to that some of the best French fries out there, and it's a trip worth making. The French fry portions are huge, and they have malt vinegar on hand for dipping. My wife and I were trying to make it for our date night before they closed. By them closing at 9, we didn't want to arrive too late. Anybody that has worked in the food industry understands the annoyance of trying to break down items, and customers come in the last moment. So we made it at 8:19 pm and the staff was awesome. Super bestest Chocolate Mint Ice Cream Milkshake ever‼️‼️‼️Sam made it very full with lots of bits of chocolate mints in it. My husband & I fell in love with it completely. Both our Mushroom Swiss Burger & we had a mixed fry order of regular & sweet potato fries that were extremely plentiful to split. Came in right when opened and already had a line forming, greeted as I walked in the door and every employee had legitimate smiles on their faces. Ordered a mooyah single, fries and oreo shake, with ice water to drink. The water had a pink tint no matter how much I ran the water, the dispenser also houses the lemonade... Not sure if that's able to be corrected. Otherwise food was delish and definitely would be back. Food score was a 93. Bumped up to a 5 star after the owner or GM came by the table, just to thank me for coming in and checking on the food.. You don't see that kind of customer service many places. More...
