I can't say enough about John and how great he was on our wedding day and leading up to it. He was always there to take our phone calls and answer questions. He also had great photo ideas to incorporate how my husband and I met and our career! He makes everyone comfortable and keeps you laughing to make all the photos look stunning! We had a really great time working with John throughout the wedding planning and the wedding day itself! We met with John multiple times to get to know him and for him to get to know us. He also asked us to complete a comprehensive list and to send photo ideas to understand exactly what we had in mind for the big day. John really listened to everything we wanted and made the wedding day fantastic. He followed up multiple times prior to the wedding to make sure everything was still the same and no changes needed to be made. On the day, he was on-time, very professional, and had a great eye and noticed things and used unique set-ups for wedding pictures. I am not the most comfortable when it comes to photography and posed pictures, but John made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. He was absolutely hilarious and the entire wedding party loved working with him! He made the wedding day extremely fun, stress-free, and worked extremely hard throughout the entire day! We were all extremely impressed with him, as he seemed to be able to get pictures of everything and everyone, even with all of the chaos at the reception! I'm anxiously awaiting the final pictures, as I'm sure they will be fantastic! I would definitely recommend John from Mood's Image because he not only captured amazing pictures (from the few I saw so far), but made the day incredibly fun and memorable! :-) More...

Sorry to be late writing this testimonial, life is crazy since the wedding. I just wanted to thank Josh and Karl for such a great job shooting our wedding.
They were so creative and made everyone including our bridal party at ease. As you know some people aren't easy to photograph especially my husband, but the way they handled the day made it such a joy to have our memories recorded.
Josh has a great talent ...everyone loved his personality and his manner of catching every moment without being noticed ...and the creative team at the Moods Image studio was a pleasure to work with. We have enjoyed our album and video.

Moods Image provided the photography services for our wedding. I would highly recommend that you hire them for your wedding or special event. Prior to the ceremony, we took photos at several locations around downtown Pittsburgh. They proved very creative in posing our party for great shots and were able to draw in the background features that we were seeking. John photographed our wedding on August 9, 2014. He was so fun to work with and he really kept all of us laughing the entire day. He brought some cute little props to use in some of the photos. I was also impressed that he made sure to snap every photo that I had sent him before the wedding! He did an amazing job and I would highly recommend him to any bride. Josh from Moods Image Photography did an outstanding job on the photography at my wedding. He captured all of the important moments of my wedding that I would want to look back on. My bridal party raved about how personable and fun he was to work with, and many guests complimented on him as well. We are very pleased with our photos and love them! Prior to the wedding, Moods Image was always easy to contact and to work with. It was easy scheduling appointments and the staff was very accommodating to our work schedules. Moods explains all of the paperwork very well and they act in a professional manner. My wife and I had chose Moods Image to be our wedding photographer/videographer because they were absolutely amazing! Especially after we saw how our engagement pictures turn out, which they also did for us, how could we not want to work with them again?
! John has a very brilliant personality and is very creative in his line of work, I'm pretty sure he was born to do this. Also, he has an awesome assistant, Rebecca, who keeps him in line! So if you have a photographer lined up for your wedding already, give them a call and cancel because you really aren't going to find a better group of people to work with!! We are very excited to see our final pictures!

We were able to have photo and video together which always provides for a better product. We rarely had a hard time communicating throughout the planning process and most meetings were after normal store hours due to our late working hours which was nice. Our one disappointment was the communication on the day of our event. We hired 2 photographers to be split up for pre ceremony photos as we were practicing tradition of not seeing each other until the altar. We had discussed this at the meeting before the ceremony and we had printed a schedule with times and special requests for certain shots. On the day of our wedding the photographers refused to split and spent the majority of the morning the boys. They did get awesome shots and great video, however this was at the expense of missing the "getting ready" photos of the bride and bridesmaids. We will say that the work is great. We have received many compliments on our albums (our package had 3) and video. Unique products are offered too, such as a magnetic mini album and large panels which we hadn't seen with other photo vendors. We would recommend this vendor only if they would be willing to split photographers for pre ceremony coverage if time is of the essence and bride and groom are practicing traditional ways. Otherwise, there are other vendors we've met through friends who do great work and follow a requested schedule. Had they split the day of our wedding we would've given them a 5, hands down. More...

If I could I would give Moods Image, and John seven out of 5 stars!
The photographs are excellent, his disposition and personality are great!
He helped in many ways - besides photography - at our wedding.
He was able to get myself and my (at the time) fiancé to smile and laugh during our engagement photo shoot, even though we were both freezing (windy and cold, outside in not much more then a sweater).
When you hire Moods Image and it's owner John, you are getting more then just a photographer!

After searching and looking into several local photographers, my husband and I decided to use Moods Image for the photography for our wedding.
From the moment we met with John he was extremely professional, and very helpful answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns.
On the day of the wedding, John showed up early (before my bridesmaids and I arrived). He captured every single moment of the day. Every time I thought it would be great to have a picture of this moment, John was already there. He captured EVERYTHING.
We chose to have day after pictures taken at a local park, the day after the wedding. It was absolutely freezing, but John kept us laughing, and took some amazing pictures!
I would highly recommend Moods Image Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer! This was by far the best money we spent!! Thank you John, and Moods Image!!!

Words can't even begin to decide how wonderful Moods Image Photography work is. We were amazed with the work John did on taking our wedding photos.
He went above an beyond with making everyone feel comfortable. Our bridal party had a blast with him.
Also, Rebecca who the studio manager does a wonderful job with spending a lot of time working on prints for albums. She was very helpful with every question I had with every detail I wanted.

There’s only one way to describe our experience with Moods Image, simply Amazing!! Our photographer and videographer worked tirelessly to ensure not only did we get good pictures for our wedding, but also that we were having fun at the same time.
We cannot begin to express how much we would recommend them to anyone for any event type. Going above and beyond for everyone, seems to just be business as usual for them. My husband and I used Moods Image for our wedding photographer and videographer. We had John R (photo) and John A (video) and both were great! They were easy to work with and true professionals. They both have a great eye for their art and made sure the photos and video from my wedding day were the best they could be. I recently saw the proofs of my wedding photos and I am IN LOVE with them. John and Lynn were wonderful to work with! We were open to utilizing their professional opinions and leaving a lot of the ideas and shots up to John, and he delivered! From the first meeting, my husband and I were so happy with their attitude towards our wedding. Each couple is really important to them, and I'm so happy they were part of our day. John made us feel right at ease, kept the bridal party and my family laughing so we have genuine smiles in every shot. He was full of ideas for great shots too that were a mix of candid, funny, and beautiful close ups. I've never felt so pretty as I did in his photos!
