Quick story: so we came here for one of our friends birthday. We got there around 7ish, the place is packed! We walk around just to see the place, it was my first time  here. We are confused by all the reserved signs, we ask but we get vague answers. Alright cool we go back to the front put our name on the list for a table. Our friends party starts at 9pm right... it's like 10 we don't see her or anybody in her crew. I look at the invitation and its for Saturday NOT Friday! But at this point I don't care bcuz bbb baaaaaabbbbeeeeeeeeee the FOOD. THE FOOD! Delicious, hot and it's a Buffet! I usually don't like buffets but this one is kept clean and food steady! Live music with great voices and talent and a chill vibe! Def will be going back for the Mac n Cheese and them cookies. My only issue is the staff. Not very helpful when you have questions. The food is very salty but my friends and I had a blast on Friday night. Never heard "Back that @ss up" and "Swag Surf " from a live band! It made it a whole new experience! My first time visiting Monticello was on a Thursday for the comedy show. My fiance' and I arrived around 830pm and was able to find a parking spot in the parking lot but they do offer Valet. I RSVP'd for the comedy show at laughatl.com which allowed us to get in for free till 9pm. You have to be 21 and older to get in on Thursday night so they do ask for ID regardless of how old you look. The hostess was friendly and very accommodating.  They told us all the tables were accounted for already but there were seats available near the stage for the comedy show, the young lady did see 1 table that someone changed their mind about and offered to seat us with the understanding that others would be seated there as well which we didn't mind.  The bar was packed and the crowd was grown, it was a very mature crowd. The ambiance was laid back, filled with cigar smoke, and good ole music. There were women who came around several times asking if you was interested in purchasing a hookah. If the waitresses had the same drive as the hookah ladies I would have given this place 5 stars. We sat for 15 minutes or so waiting for someone to stop and ask if we wanted to order anything then finally one of the managers who was going around from table to table making sure every table was being taken care of, I told him No. The gentleman asked us what we wanted, took our orders and made sure we were taken care of for the remainder of the night.  There is no drink menu. Not sure if it is because they don't feel the need to disclose drink prices or the plan is to make nothing but basic drinks. We ordered several Patron Margaritas and they were good. I ordered the seafood Cobb Salad with no bacon, they use mixed greens, the shrimp and crab meat tasted fresh, and it was so delicious. My fiance had the Salmon with Shrimp and it was scrumptious. The food prices were very reasonable and they give you a nice sized portion so you won't leave hungry. To our surprise Kindred The Family Soul performed before the comedy show. The performance was great and the audience sang along to every song. The comedy show started after the performance and we laughed the entire time. I always come on Tuesdays. They do taco and margaritas specials on Tuesdays.  Karaoke on Monday is also a must see however work conflicts for me. Great atmosphere... great food ... great drinks ! Came here just to catch the Alabama game and ended up getting hookah , drinks (pineapple martini and old fashioned for the hubby) he also had a cigar at the cigar bar (java cigar). I'm new to the area so I have been trying new things. We arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty empty which is fine because we were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our group of 4 ordered the blackened shrimp spinach dip, jerk chicken egg rolls and firecracker shrimp for appetizers. Everything was amazing and came out very fast!!! For my main dish, I decided to go with tacos because they were cheap because it was Tuesday (2-4 dollars). They came out hot and fresh. We ordered a hookah which was $36 but they had a lot of great flavors and were very fast. Overall, I think this is the perfect place to come with a group and have fun. They have a full bar, cigar room and great music! Only thing I'd say which could be negative to some is that it smells like smoke as soon as you walk in the door because of the cigar room. I like Monticello! We arrived on a Saturday at 7:00ish. Valet was $10 (to my surprise), but at least it was quick and easy.  We were seated quickly and greeted by our server almost immediately. One note:  you have to be 21 to enter the premises on Saturday evenings and the bouncer asked to see our IDs. We started with the blacked shrimp spinach dip and it was excellent; creamy and flavorable with plenty of shrimp. For my entree, I ordered the Slammin Salmon with mashed potatoes  instead of rice. The salmon alone deserves 5 stars I only removed one star because my hubby was unhappy with the cognac selection (lack of any XO). After dinner we moved to the balcony for good music and wine. Nothing is nicer than a great atmosphere, amazing food & to top it off a perfect place to enjoy a cigar. If you haven't checked out this place come out. You definitely don't have to be a partier to enjoy this place.  But YOOOOO if you are a beverage  Connoisseur YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT the privage labels in the CIGAR ROOM! !! They don't serve the same thing at the other bars!!!!! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday yesterday & it was a great experience. The food was amazing, the waiter was wonderful, & the ambiance was great as well. One of my co-workers suggested this place & I'm glad she did. If I didn't live so far this will be my go to spot. I would like to add the different choice of cigars. This would be our first time smoking a cigar & the man & lady in the cigar room recommended what they thought we would liked. Also, the waiter was amazing. I had a great time last night at Monticello. I took a star away due to one server we encountered, but we ended up not dealing with her and the server we had was a delight. Also, they do not have a drink menu. We arrived around 7:00. We were there to celebrate a birthday so we directly to were our friends were seating. Food: Most people at the table had the buffet, but I opted to wait until after nine and order off of the regular menu. The buffet seafood did look tasty and individuals you ordered it enjoyed it. I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It is Mac and Cheese topped with a fired lobster tail. It was really good. Much better than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Another downside was no drink menu. I like to know what liquors are being used and their prices up front. Atmosphere: This is definitely a party atmosphere. You can go after work or come late and party. For us we can midway so that we could experience the best of both worlds. I believe they charge after a certain time. My first visit was not the greatest as I had read many reviews prior to coming however I don't judge any establishment by reviews alone. So I came. I saw a lot but first time is always a charm. I am not one to complain.  The live entertainment was great. So I returned tonight when I found Julius and his orchestra playing. He has yet to give a bad show. Always full of songs, entertains and gets you on your feet.  This time the food was awesome. The buffet did not run out. The lines were constantly moving and people seemed to be very happy. They cleared the buffet quickly to open the dance floor as the band started back to play and the Angels started to sing. Definitely a great time. Frank Ski made the transition From the band to DJ set EPIC tonight. I dance all night long. I only gave it a 4 simply because my first experience was not great but the service and everything was exceptional the second time. I feel the owners are listening to the customers and working the kinks out. Keep up the great work! I am looking forward to returning supporting this establishment. It can only get better with time. I stay right down the street so I decided to try out Monticello. There's a nice setting, and it's very spacious. The hookah was actually really good but $36 is a bit pricey for a regular size, one hose hookah. I tried the Mac and cheese with the fried lobster tail, and it was amazing. The reason I wouldn't give the restaurant/lounge a 5 star review is because my girlfriend ordered wings and they were cold and fatty. Also, there's no drink menu...you kind of have to wing it. There's no way of knowing what alcohol they carry or the price of a drink without the waiter running back and forth to check prices. First time at this establishment, visited with 12 other people, was seated pretty quickly, was informed there was a hour wait for food, didn't receive 2 of items I ordered after of hour of waiting. Went here last night and had one of the greatest times in my life. My fiance said that she never saw me that happy before. The band was jamming. I repeat JAMMING! Staff was very welcoming. I did not give this 5 stars for for one reason.  We spent over over $100 on drinks. Very expensive.  I will definitely go again however can't go as often as I like to. Almost heaven.  There aren't too many places you can go in America to dine and have a premium cigar in the same place.  They do both well. I had the Slammin Salmon and the taste did not disappoint.  The cigar selection had something to offer every pallet, though my all time favorite was not on the 'menu'.  I nonetheless was able to thoroughly enjoy my visit.Morgan made me feel at home as she greeted me and seated me close to the walk-in humidor.  Then Cookie took over and took my order and delivered the meal in a fashion that rivals most of the fine dining places I've visited.The cigar prices are reasonable.  I've paid a lot more in other places.  The gent tending the humidor was both personable and knowledgeable about the product they stocked.I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who appreciates a great meal followed by a good smoke. Took my husband for the Fathers Day event there. This was my 4th time there but first for an event. It started off pretty shady with the buffet being pushed back to 6 from 5 and we had been there since 3:30pm (second couple in line). Let me just say the only reason why they are getting the 4 stars is all because of our waitress named Q. She did a superb job to make sure my husband and I and the other couple that joined us were taken care of. I don't ever want another waitress to wait on me other than Q if she is working. Her level of customer service was amazing and unheard of this day in age. She is the epitome of pure excellence. Stopped to this spot while in town to smoke a Cigar and try their Lobster Mac n cheese, which was highly recommended. My friend and I were in shock when told we had to pay $20 to come into Cigar lounge because they are having a concert (in a totally different room with wristband entry). I don't understand why we have to pay to go in the lounge....and, we can't order food. We have to pay additional $25 to eat the  Buffett in the secured concert room. This is the dumbest thing ever. How do you shut down the entire spot when they are all separated. I'm so disappointed because I was so excited to check out this spot, but I won't be back because it's too complicated just to smoke a Cigar. Make sure you call before coming to make sure no concert going on. The new taboo 2 is montcello in unincorporated cobb county aka marietta at 2000 powers ferry rd. suite 1200, marrietta, ga. 30067. this is the sexiest environment! the cigar lounge is in a very filtered separate room from both the main bar and outdoor smoking bar! yes there is 4 separate lounges inside! i'm so impressed!....they opened friday 5/10/2019! yall got to come check out and see columbus and the ole taboo 2 crew!!!!! its lit!!!!!!....and the fooodddd oh my damn!!!!!
