I started visiting Martha about a month ago because my shoulders and back were in knots. She has been amazing. She has patiently tried to work out all of them with her amazing deep tissue massage. She is always kind asking how I am doing and my experiences have been nothing but pleasant. She is also great at relaxing massages and I am so comfortable with her. It is the best part of my week! He listened to what I wanted to achieve and which areas I wanted to focus on. His knowledge of muscle groups is apparent in his massage technique and skill. A friend referred me to Vlad for a desperately needed massage. My friend had only had one appointment with Vlad but it was enough for her to know that he does great work I contacted Vlad via Yelp and he responded very quickly and I was able to get an appointment the next day, on Saturday. I told him where my pain points were and what my chiropractor said I needed. He went to work and I left an hour later feeling SO much better. Just the night before I couldn't sleep as I had a very stiff neck and shoulder. Plus my arm has been bothering me. I told him I wanted a deep tissue massage and that's exactly what I got. He was very courteous to ask throughout the massage if the pressure was ok. I am so grateful the pain in my neck and shoulder is gone. I'm a little sore but I expected that. I've had a deep tissue massage before. But the one from Vlad is the best so far. Definitely recommend him!! Ask him for directions to the salon. Call and make an appointment! I was so impressed by this salon. I was in town for a short time, and had a sudden onset of terrible neck pain. I only had about 2 hours of available time, so I called Modern Massage, just hoping they might have an immediate opening. I couldn't believe it when they *called in* one of their massage therapists, specifically for me, and I was relaxing on his table an hour after my call. And this therapist (Jamie) was amazing! My experience with Martha and Vlad was amazing. It was an anniversary gift and it was the best part of the day. Martha was my masseuse and she went above and beyond. I came in with a really uncomfortable headache and I came out with out one. Her hands are blessings to the world. She treated me with kindness and she made sure that I was comfortable at all times. Vlad is great! He answered my call at 10:30pm and I had an appointment by 2:30 the next day. It's a custom massage so you can tell him where you need the most work. Definitely will be going again.

I don't give them out often but every once in a while, a business rises to such lofty levels that it's simply a joy to be a customer and for the life of me I could not think of a single recommendation for improvement; such is the case with Modern Massage Studio.
I came across Modern Massage Studios via highly rated Google reviews and thought I would give them a try. I am a runner logging over 100 miles monthly plus play tennis and golf. As I am not getting any younger so sometimes a little stiffness and sore muscles set in. A quality massage gets me back on the road and in at peak performance.
Modern Massage is located in Winter Garden, FL in a strip mall sharing space with a nail salon - you pass through the salon to get to Modern Massage. Vlad, the massage therapist, and his wife come from the Crimea province of the Ukrainian in Russia. Both athletes, she teaches gymnastics, and he a former tumbler for cirque du soleil here in Orlando. This is important as there are few occupations in the world that puts more stress on the body than acrobats and professional ballet dancers so Vlad knows what makes you tick. Additionally, Vlad spent time performing medical massages for a Chiropractor which only goes to further his skills.
Warmly greeted, the massage room is peaceful and inviting. A brief questionnaire and couple of questions from Vlad has you headed to blissful relaxation. Privacy is provided while changing to your degree of comfort on a high-quality massage table that is heated. Ample soft sheets and blankets are provided and massages are offered for light, medium, and deep tissue. Additionally, aroma and hot rock options are available - choose the rocks, you will not regret it.
Vlad gets to work quickly and effectively, working each part of your body with full attention to every detail. His 15 years of experience shows in quickly identifying tight muscles, angry spots, and general soreness. His methods go beyond the simple rub you get from more generic establishments. His years as an acrobat truly define him leaving my experience to include pulling, pushing, twisting, and flexing; all of which put me in a more relaxed and healthier state. I've had a lot of massages over the years and I have to say this was one of the top treatments I have ever received. The day after I continued to feel refreshed, not sore and painful as has occurred with some specialists. At the end of the day, Vlad addressed all the right spots, and a few I didn't know I had, and empowered me to run harder and perform better.
FOR WOMEN - This is a safe environment and a place I would be comfortable with my mom or sister going alone. Vlad is a professional and immediately outside of the massage room is the nail salon so you are not isolated. Given the climate of things today, I felt it important to adderss potential safety concerns.
I was extremely impressed with Vlad's knowledge, technique, and work ethic. I look forward to future massages with him, the ability to book and pay online, and my improved performance after massage sessions.
