Best furniture shopping experience ever! Our home is in South Carolina and we were visiting Asheville, NC for the day. So glad we stopped in Mobilia. Michael was the best furniture salesperson we have ever dealt with! He listened carefully, showed us great options and then gave us space to look and talk things over. Michael and Bill were both very helpful when I built a new home in Asheville about four years ago. The process of decorating was smooth, and I was very happy with the results. Recently the swivel mechanism on one of the chairs I purchased from them broke. I contacted Michael about this and was glad to learn the part was covered under warranty. Not only did they replace the part, they also sent a crew out to install it and ensure that it was working properly for no charge. Great store and excellent staff. We saw all kinds of things we liked in Mobilia - and later realized that the store in Grove Arcade - 4 Corners - was a sister store! Definitely a great selection of cool furniture and art pieces for the home. We found and purchased a great piece of wall art we loved and Martha went above and beyond to allow us to pick it up outside of normal hours so we could take it home, rather than shipping it. Have you ever been to a store where the service is so great and the ambiance so inviting that you go there again and again just for the pleasure of being in the space, chatting with the staff, and imagining owning one of the lovely furniture pieces on sale? Well Mobilia is such a place -- as is its sister store Four Corners in the Grove arcade. If you're looking for furniture, these two stores should be your first stop. Amazing! I couldn't believe the low price I was offered on a design consultation for my condo in Asheville would amount to much. Boy was I wrong! Not only did I get an in-home consultation and written plan from that amazing Martha Rutherford, but I also got guidance on purchases to make, paint colors, fabrics, everything! She really held my hand through everything and came back to my place multiple times to look at paint colors with me and fabrics. There was not pressure to purchase everything at Mobilia either, she helped me look at furniture from other places as well as bedding and pillows. Of course, because Mobilia is so super cool, I did make several significant purchases from there and also from the sister store Four Corners. I have gotten first class service from Martha, timely deliveries to my house, an ongoing stream of emails with advice. Thank you Martha! It is because of you that my place turned out so great. My husband and I moved to Asheville one year ago. We were thrilled to find a contemporary furniture store, not only in style, but thought. After updating our basement, we needed comfortable, stylish furniture pieces to finish the space. After looking at several store, various on-line venues, and multiple catalogs, we happened upon Mobilia. I could have saved so much time and energy by coming here initially. Elena and Michael were wonderful to work with and made great suggestions. Elena was so knowledgeable and helpful with design choices, and her practicality (a must with pre-teen kids in the household) was a huge help. Mobilia's crew went above and beyond helping me out with a sofa I had bought from them over 7 years ago. I had to replace the cover, and what I thought would be a simple thing turned out to be very complicated. Despite the years that had passed, Martha at Mobilia sent two of her staff over to our office and they installed the new cover for me! In short, Mobilia is awesome. My wife and I recently purchased a mid-mod home and we're in the middle of restoring it. Martha and her team have endured our (literally) dozen or so trips to visit them and "window-shop". We'd previously bought some smaller pieces from Mobilia that we loved but they had a bed that was exactly what we had in mind for our master suite. They worked with us to schedule delivery so that the bed would arrive as the contractors were finishing work in the bedroom. And Taylor and Joe (who delivered the bed) were beyond awesome. It helps that everyone who works at and with Mobilia is an enthusiast. So whether we were talking with someone on the floor or their delivery team, there was a real respect for the aesthetic we were going for--and they're all super-nice to boot.So--buy furniture from these guys. The best quality home furnishings and home accessories store in Asheville. Only surpassed by their exemplary customer service. Hip, timeless designs and free delivery. Design consultation in home if you want it at a very reasonable rate. Wesley, Eric and Michael are true professionals, organized, on top of follow through and so much fun. How can you beat that!! They are now my first go to retail destination for decor that will endure trends. Even their delivery team Taylor and Joe were awesome. Our sofa was delivered within minutes of their projected delivery time, no charge, and came with a lovely scented candle as a thank you. What a nice touch. We're now looking forward to the arrival in 10 weeks of our custom bed.They are a pleasure to do business with. My wife and I have just completed the renovation of a post modern home and were interested in purchasing very high quality reproductions of iconic pieces. We are value rather than price shoppers and after considerable research, we became quite skeptical of the too-good-to-be-true on-line offers.From the moment that we walked into Mobilia, we were impressed by the selection, display and the apparent quality of the products. While the store did not have the items of interest on display, the salesman was happy to work with us to locate the pieces that we wanted from one of his reputable, quality manufacturers, and provided us with several color leather samples, which helped to affirm the quality finish of the products, We were planning to purchase 1 leather couch, w/2 matching chairs for our living room and 2 different leather chairs from another manufacturer for a separate room.While waiting for delivery, the salesman called to advise that since the couch and 2 of the chairs would be in the same room and in close proximity, he wanted to assure that leather on each was from the same hide and dye lot to assure a perfect match, and that would cause a delay. We happily concurred and were impressed with the thoughtfulness, professionalism and consideration.The five pieces were delivered and the team that brought them into our home were extremely careful, considerate, and took the time to properly set-up and place our items. We are delighted with the quality of what we have purchased, feel that the price was fair, and on reflection, the entire experience of dealing with Mobilia has been ideal! I had spent a lot of time looking in various stores for the right sofa. After much searching, I found Mobilia where Michael was able to help me select just the right piece. He not only answered all of my questions but inquired about my room and suggested fabrics that would be appropriate. He also helped educate me about the durability of sofa construction! My sofa was delivered by Hurt and Josh, who are part of the Mobilia team. They gave me exact delivery times, carefully brought it into my home, and placed it just where I wanted it, even moving some of my furniture around to accommodate the new sofa. I have never experienced such helpful and courteous delivery of any item.They will even bring your old furniture to Habitat for Humanity if you don't have any use for it.Incredible customer service and great design. I am an interior designer working in Asheville, NC and I have recommended Mobila to many of my clients, but this review is about my personal experience. My husband and I searched for a bedroom group for several years and kept going back to a Copeland Furniture group that Mobila represents. It is beautiful, the wood is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and the group is reasonably priced. One of the owners, Michael helped deliver the furniture himself when one of his workers was out sick. He and is assistant made me leave the room as they dismantled my old hodgepodge of furniture and recreated a beautiful bedroom for me. He even gave me a beautiful candle for the dresser and made the bed! And I just received the receipt from Habitat for Humanity where they took my old furniture to be repurposed. Kenneth and Brittany are excellent design advisors and offer plenty of ideas to work within your parameters. They make the shopping experience fun and enjoyable - even with trailing husbands. ..Hurt and Josh who execute the delivery and set-up of furniture are outstanding. Where do I even begin?! My husband and I recently purchased our bedroom set from Mobilia as well as a beautiful floor lamp. The entire process was so fantastic and enjoyable. Three years ago, my husband and I were visiting Asheville for a long weekend. We happened upon Mobilia and went inside. We were absolutely amazed at all of the fabulous finds-- in particular a set of really funky roosters. I decided not to purchase the roosters that day.... I'm not exactly sure why. I guess because roosters aren't typically my style. Well, not buying one or both of these roosters became one of my biggest regrets. My husband and I returned to Asheville this past winter, and of course, we had to go back into Mobilia. I told the owner, Michael, about my rooster regret. He went above and beyond--- taking my name, telephone number, email address, etc.-- and told me he would try his best to find my rooster. Long story short, my rooster just arrived yesterday and I am absolutely in love. It is a statement piece in my home and certainly a conversation starter. I cannot say enough good things about Michael and his staff. Their customer service is second to none. They are the reason I strongly support buying from local business owners. I live outside Asheville but visit annually. On each trip I visit Mobilia (and dream about furnishing my future house from their stylish and contemporary selection of furniture and accessories). I was recently in need of a base for an office chair I already own, and I reached out to Michael on the off chance that he might be able to help. Luckily, the brand was one they carried in the store. Michael researched the chair base and worked directly with the manufacturer to order the exact part I needed. We hit a few snags along the way with the manufacturer, but each time I called or emailed Michael to check in, he responded right away and took care of the issue.
