Mobile Computer Repair

I encountered a problem -- the inability to play uploaded DVDs to my MacBook.  I tried my own research (to no avail) and spent time with chatting on-line with Apple (while their instructions were probably correct, I wasn't able to translate that into a successful solution. I Yelped for computer repair and Mobile Computer Repair was both locale and the recipient of very high ratings.  I reached out via email to determine if they could, in fact, solve my problem.  Darren replied very quickly and we subsequently spoke -- he assured me that they could resolve the problem.We arranged a time for today and Carlo arrived within the stated window.  He readily understood the problem, spent less than 30 minutes working on it, and then clearly explained what to do going forward.I am 100% pleased and will not only use them again should I have a problem (and will surely ask for Carlo), but I will unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone with a computer issue.  I could not have asked for better service or a better outcome.Thank you Mobile Computer Repair. Aloha to everyone that takes the time to read this. This review is based on my experience with Mobile Computer Repair. So check it, the down and dirty is, I "feel" / "believe" that Darren employ's quality employee's. Carlo and Charles are f**king awesome at what they do....and it is simply because they love what they do.They took care of my repairs and educated me on everything I needed with my ancient Lenovo Laptop. As we all know, reviews are based on personal experience, and again, I "feel" / "believe" that these guy's are not only credible, but they care about reputation....and in this short life, these employee's are professional, fun and credible.Spending your hard money on companies that you may not know if they will help you and save you money......I am a nobody, but my word is to say, hire these guy's to do the job, and they won't let you down.In conclusion, I can happily watch my X-rated videos on the hub now with no lag in my laptop's processor. Oct 31, 2018 ~ I am so embarrassed! I wrote you and Carlo an absolutely GLOWING review and could not remember your company name! ! I knew you were in Woodland Hills and Googed "Overnight Repair Woodland Hills" and thought I found the right name so I Yelp-ed the following under that business and am trying to erase it for them now and post it here for you, Carlo, Darren, et al. Apologies! Here it is:Ok, so I spent the last week or so glaring at my dead computer across the room on my dresser. According to The Apple Store in Glendale, the hard drive was fine but the corrupted software of 10.8+ was at fault and lo and behold, I was caught w my pants down facing that all-dreaded scenario of what is known as "data recovery."Apple "geniuses" recommended Melrose Mac or Los Feliz Mac Repair but, on a tip from my accountant, I rolled the dice and went with Mobile Computer Repair as they had just helped him get his jalopy up and running and it was only $100. I called the proprietor owner, Darren, a guy with a perfect demeanor for the job and great voice... he's the guy in the outgoing message.He explained the cost structure to me and recommended I swap out the older hard drive for a new SSD one ($150) and that the labor of installation and data recovery would be $200. Tough pill to swallow but hey, as a writer and photographer w all too much of the last 6-7 years stored on my old laptop, what choice did I really have?I bit the bullet and within a couple hours, one of Darren's guys - Carlo - was zipping up to my house and receiving my baby. A couple days later, he calls to say that my hard drive was a mess and it was most difficult to restore my data. He meets me at my coffee shop of choice and brings me up a souped up version of my computer w the new Samsung SSD hard drive installed, the same layout there on my computer, and I'm back in business!Amazing. These guys are GOOD. It all cost $100 more than I expected it would but for this level of care and service? It was worth it. I have no idea what it would have cost elsewhere but I imagine that this was on par w industry standards.In the end, I was most pleased by how I was treated by Mobile Computer Repair and think you will be too if you find yourself in this precarious predicament. They'll help you navigate the choppy waters and come out in better shape than when you were forced to contact them. If I could give 10 stars for these IT guys, I would.My workplace was having some technical challenges, and I worked for two weeks on troubleshooting the issues without any success.  The problems were simply beyond my abilities.  I was granted approval to hire an I.T. guy, and after many conversations, I went with Mobile Computer Repair.  The owner, Darren, spent nearly an hour of his own time in three different evening phone calls from me last night.  He was knowledgeable, friendly, mellow, and amazingly patient with my questions.  He had two techies out to my workplace the very next day.Today, Carlo and Charles came to my workplace, and these fellows were amazing.  They conquered every system issue I had, and they did not give up when one glitch in particular was blocking them.  Darren had estimated by phone that the job should not take more than an hour and a half.  Everything seemed straightforward by phone.  So when Carlo and Charles got blocked, they stopped charging us at the two-hour mark.  However, these guys persisted, and worked another hour until they were able to resolve the issue.They only charged us for two hours.Fellow Yelpers:  this company also offers a Yelp check-in service of 20% off the first hour.Carlo and Charles really took down my stress today, and they will be by go-to IT fellows from here on in.  I'm hopeful to use them to update our server, which is quite old.Finally -- these two guys drove from West Hills to Beverly Hills and arrived at 9AM on the dot!  Thank you SO much, Carlo and Charles!  Darren, thank you too.  You are all professional and terrific. These guys are just amazing. I've gone through about 5 different IT guys, from Craig'slist to high-end "squads" and i've never had such perfect, competent, QUICK service on all things computers than i have with these guys. We had a network issue where the speed was not acceptable for our new computers.  Darren sent someone out within hours after my first call to him. Although they were unable to take care of the issue that day (we were too busy to bring down the network to fix the problem), Darren came out at a pre-arranged time the following week (when we weren't so busy) and took care of the problem in a very short time period. Highly recommended! My computer died and i did not know what to do. Buy a new one or get help. I called around a few places like the Geek Squad and no one was helpful. I found Mobile Computer and they were very helpful. Darren assured me that my computer would be fixed in no time. That is what happened. The tech arrived and in about 20 min had my computer working. I needed a hard drive replacement on a 27" iMac. Darren quoted $100 for labor and $279 for a 1 terabyte SanDisk SSD for a total price of $379. That was a great price so I asked him to come down to replace the hard drive.Tony came down and installed the drive with no issues. Had another computer issue--Armen told me what the problem was. His fix didn't quite solve it in the allotted hour, so he gave me advice on how to fix it after my computer was done thinking. He tweaked a couple of things, set the computer to restart and update, and voila---it worked after he left! They fix, and if the fix doesn't work, they give you other options, and they also provide you with information and education so that you can learn how to apply fixes yourself. More...

I had an awesome experience working with Darren to completely re-vamp my system. My hard drive just failed, and so many other issues were going on, I knew I needed professional help. Darren helped get the system back up again and was able to optimize and catch issues I would never have known about or how to address. Exceeded my expectations. I went in expecting a 5 star service and instead received a 5 + star service. First of all they did a quality job bringing my computer back up to speed. It was running very slow, full of malware and spyware, and probably had a virus or two. It's now even faster than when I bought it because they upgraded my RAM for free.
