What a great place to have drinks or dinner or a snack. Wonderful industrial, yet warm, space with great lighting. As others have mentioned, a significant draw of Mission is their confident, thoughtful staff: supportive and present but not hovering. Like the best places, the staff seem to actually like being part of the team. More than once, a Mission-"ary" went over and above to make our meal great. The food is terrific, an Asian fusion. Flavorful and fresh. Good sized portions invite (demand? ) sharing. There are options for every taste and if something doesn't seem perfect, I'm almost certain they would accommodate the demanding diner. A creative cocktail list, sourced from the diverse and stocked bar, are a welcome accompaniment. With tables not on top of one another and acoustics that foster even intimate listening, Mission is one of those spots that makes going out with a group of friends for a long, lazy, conversation-filled dinner do-able. This place was totally unexpected in a great way. The dishes were all very unique and very delicious. Most of the food is spicy, however it just adds to the flavor. The food was amazing. The lighting, however, detracted from the experience. Shifting from green to red to ice blue may work well for a club, but makes it hard to tell what you're eating or appreciate the food visually.

This is by far one of the best food experiences I have had in NYC. Shared all the portions with 3 other people. Tasty!!!
King Pao pastrami was exactly what I expected. Crunchy pastrami with red onions, red peppers and peanuts. The broccoli beef brisket was so moist and soft. Cooked to perfection. The smoked mushroom jerky fried rice, which was absolutely unique in flavor and light. The Chingqing chicken wings were some of the best I have tasted. They were spicy just enough with a cumin and red pepper tang. This place also has one of the coolest vibes. Orion is the rice beer they have on their drink menu and it is just right to go with this food. There are also options per person on their menu. Also very matrix like bathroom. Real cool. Check this place out!!!!
