I should start this off by saying that Gillian Crocca Photography is my go-to for any of my photography needs/wants. Why? Because Gillian's photographs of me actually changed the way that I look at myself in the mirror- and that's a gift that is priceless (and no, she didn't do it with Photoshop the way that you might think) . Gillian is always professional and courteous. She is always on time for our scheduled shoots, makes sure we have what we need and have a rough plan for the images we want to capture. I usually come in with some ideas and then we try them out and make adjustments- but the best images come together when she gives me feedback on things as we go. She has such a talent and an eye for image capturing that I usually just defer to her judgement because I know that I can trust her to really get the best results possible. At a time in my life when I thought I was the farthest thing from attractive, and at my highest weight ever, she took pictures for me. I can't recommend this enough- to anyone, especially if you occasionally have self doubt about your appearance. The images she took of me that day are still my favorites- even now that I've lost weight. It was a transformative experience that you don't get with just any photographer. It takes someone who can make you comfortable and who has compassion for you as a human being. She's not just a photographer, she's an artist. She really puts her heart and soul into what she does- and that shows in her work. More...
