Mint is one of the best places in the valley hands down. Their food is always fresh, unique and delicious. I am so happy each time I come. They are known for their small plates which are a must try. Took the bestie here for her birthday dinner. I liked that I was able to make a reservation as well. On a Sunday early dinner, there wasn't many people at the restaurant, which was totally fine. Once you turn into the parking lot, the structure looks a little sus, but once you enter inside, everything looks fine (LOL!). The only complaint I had was that there was a fly harassing us the whole time we were there. It did not steer away a 5 star review though.My personal favorites were the seared wagyu (literally melts in your mouth), the crispy tuna (super tasty and the rice was fried perfect!), and the Vulcan roll. I would skip out on the poke nachos next time, I think it was the flavor and the texture for me... We want to have another get together here with more friends. This used to be a very good sushi place but for the last couple months something changed. I am not sure what they changed in their recipes but their rolls don't taste the same. I was passing through town and my Airbnb host recommended this restaurant given it was walking distance from the house. After a day of driving it was a welcomed meal. We have quite a few places for Sushi in SLC but MINT has stood out. It's artistic and the fish is some of the freshest I've had in the valley. It's very comparable to the same quality you'd get along any coastal cities which is pretty special for being pretty inland here in SLC but I'm impressed everytime. The salmon ginger and lamb chops have been a couple of my favorite dishes that have been memorable and that I've come back for but all the rolls and nigiri/sashimi is all very fresh and beautifully plated. Great restaurant. The small plates are packed full of flavor and the presentation is wonderful. My personal favorites are the salmon tataki and the seared wagyu beef. For the sushi rolls, the Luna is top notch. My wife and I usually get 2 small plates and 2 rolls which is plenty of food. If you're hungry, you can get one other small plate or roll. Love this place. Phenomenal! Definitely will be back. I didn't have such high expectations due to the mixed reviews of this place on here, but was pleasantly surprised. Not one complaint. Everything was delicious. I don't remember the roll names we had here, but get these pictured! And the Toro nigiri with caviar 10/10. Everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. OMG!!! What can I say? I would like to say it was so horrible that we had to eat it all so that they didn't sever it to anyone else. We would say this just because this place is so very amazing and the food is even more amazing that we don't want anyone else to know about this place and we would be able to have our new favorite anytime we wanted. FANTASTIC! It's rare that another night out for dinner can be so satisfying. I have been eating sushi my entire life and I have never left a meal with as much anticipation to come back for more! Mint delivered that excitement. Chef Oka is a master. He created an assortment of stunningly beautiful presentations that expanded my boundaries and simple expectations of sushi. One of my favorite restaurants in the whole world, no exaggeration. I've been here many times and the taste and quality is always stellar. They have some incredible combinations of fresh, high quality ingredients that taste like nothing else I have ever tired, and I've had a LOT of sushi. I recommend getting their small plates, my favorites are the jalapeño hamachi and salmon ginger. Their rolls are also one of a kind (the earth roll is definitely worth a try). Seriously good. I drive down from Park City for it. Wagyu seared beef is to die for, and the Milky Way roll.....mmmmm. Even my 17 year old somewhat new to sushi loved it all. We will be back!

I've only ever heard positive things about Mint Tapas & Sushi and yet I always managed to overlook it when choosing a spot for sushi. Why? I have no idea. Maybe the name? Or the location? Who knows. Now that I've visited, I will never overlook it again. Everything from the service to the sushi was absolute PERFECTION. We ordered the salmon belly and three specialty rolls to share and found ourselves in the best kind of food coma. I wish I had tried Mint Tapas and Sushi sooner. Incredible food. I'm from the east coast so I'm a sushi snob and think most of the sushi in SLC is disgusting. The fish here is so incredibly fresh. I like that they do the Tapas ( small proportions) . There's so many items to choose from. Our sushi tasted super fresh, it was GREAT QUALITY. We tried a variety of different dishes. All of them were incredible ~ 5 stars for the Salmon. The Walu Ceviche Melts in your mouth with its buttery flavor! The food presentation was pretty spectacular each plate was a work of art. We went on a recommendation from a friend. I have my favorite sushi restaurant, so I was a bit worried how Mint would hold up. I was definitely surprised and delighted. Pretty much everything we got was well worth it. The Hamachi, the Cucumber Lollipops, the Wagyu Beef, and the Ceviche were all fantastic. The rolls were really good, but rolls are rolls.
