Had dinner in last night. I am from Hyderabad and gather the Chef and owner are also from Hyderabad. The food was amazing! Punugulu, Rava Masala Dosa and Chicken Korma were beyond perfection. Great attention to side dishes, garlic nan, dosa tomato chutney and Sambar were also fantastic and the best among other restaurants in JAX. Service was very professional. Felt transported home. We came here recently and they're currently open just for sit down ordering. We ordered samosas, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala. The food was good. But be careful it comes spicy. Good thing we all liked spicy but what if we hadn't? They didn't ask us if we wanted it spicy or not. Overall the restaurant was very spacious, good location, and everyone was really nice. This is the best Indian food in Jacksonville. I'm from out of town, but my dad lives here and after taking me to what he has narrowed down to be the best of the best, having been to the restaurant this used to be but not since new ownership, I had to try after reading reviews. They absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food is great with rich, delicious sauces. The homemade hot sauces we were brought are amazing and super spicy. Love at first bite. Saag was incredible. Spicy sweet and green, potatoes took place of meat in a wonderful way. Â Artfully done. Highly recommended. Maybe new diners should opt for mild or no spice. Definitely plan to order again. Filling , enough for 2 meals. One container open. Maybe order pickup and make sure everything is closed properly.I opted for delivery. Guy was early. This is a must visit restaurant in Jacksonville if you like authentic Indian cuisine. A must visit for lunch buffet with wide varieties of both South and North Indian dishes and an excellent menu for a la cate dinner.

Indian food is decently authentic, the service is good and is a clean facility. My favorites are saag paneer, idli dipped in sambhar with peanut chutney, daal makhani and my significant other loves the chicken manchurian, chicken tikka masala, saag chicken (paneer too) and the garlic naan there! I wish they would serve more of Mumbai street food like Pav Bhaji, Bhel puri, Sev Puri and other forms of chaat! More...

If you want to try and sample of what Indian food is all about, then this is a great starting point to go to. Better yet, if you want to get a taste of real delicious Indian food, then this is the place to be. Minerva Indian Restaurant aka JaxMinerva resides in the same building as the former Indian restaurant, Chatpatay.Aside from their standard menu, I strictly came here to try their buffet, something that they offer for Lunch for AYCE price of $11.99, which I find reasonably priced considering that there are over 30+ buffet items available. It's well enough choices to buckle your palette into overload.Minerva carries and serves a variety of foods, some spicy, some vegetable friendly dishes, etc. Their buffet selections is terrific. Now, I was not able to eat or sample all of what their buffet had to offer, but I was able to eat over 15 items they served that day. And while all were delicious in their own rights, I've come down to a Top 3 favorite, which were:- Ginger Fish: Â Nice light batter, cooked just right, not over-fried.- Chettinad Goat Curry: Â I really wanted to eat the whole pan of this. Ba-a-a-ad baby. - Mango Kulfi: Â Nice, rich and creamy Mango ice cream. I had 3 rounds of this yummy treat. And here's my Meh: The breads; The Naans and Bhatura. I was expecting it to be better; was not as soft as I am accustomed to.All in all, I enjoyed the food and friendly service at Minerva. This place has some of my favorite Indian food in Jacksonville. I went here for lunch after church and they had their lunch buffet set up, which they have during the week as well. They have a large selection of food to choose from and I think it's $11 to $12 per person. I had some regular rice, lemon rice, plain naan, two different samples of curries and another dish that I don't remember the name of. The lemon rice is a new favorite of mine and the dish I can't remember (I know not helpful) was excellent. Truly everything I tried was good. Most of the dishes are on the spicier side, so if you like authentic spice then you'll have a good experience here. We been looking for somewhere to replace Indian restaurant and this is it ! We ordered chicken tikka masa l, garlic nan and samosa to go. Everything is good: we typically order Indian spicy and it definitely had a kick. The garlic nan bread was also nice and soft. The size of the nan is slightly larger than other places (pro). I had the Minerva curry with chicken and garlic naan. The level of spice for the curry surprised me. It hurt, BUT that's a good thing. Many Indian restaurants make "American spicy" food even if you order "Indian spicy." JaxMinerva has good spice levels. Since I ordered  takeout, I can't properly judge the naan. My 1st visit with my family we had a awesome experience, the buffet was fabulous , authentic- tasty, unlimited all you can eat buffet , they also went beyond as they did not have dosai in the buffet , but I request if they could make a few dosai a for me , they immediately made fresh hot dosai for us , staff Vasu was an outstanding young man, who went out of his way to provide all we ordered including some take out . We visited this same location last year on our annual trek to Siesta Key. Â The former restaurant at this location was Nepali. ..the new owner has built Minerva around southern Indian cuisine. Â One word. HOT! Â My wife and I both had Chicken Tikka Masala which was made with tandoori chicken. I ordered medium hot vs my usual hot...and it was fantastic! I still can't feel my face! Naan was perfect, service was acceptable as the place was jumping on a Friday night, and the prices were simply amazing!We walked in the place and it was dominated by Indian clientele. We tried JaxMinerva for the first time yesterday for dinner, and we had a great experience. Â Outstanding helpful service and delicious, fresh food. Â We started with a masala dosa (ordered "very mild") and it was very good, although still a bit too spicy for our taste. Â We ordered chicken tandoori, which was good but too salty for us. Â We also tried the sag paneer, which was great and coconut curry lamb which was very tender. Â We recommend the garlic naan, too.
