Booked this place for dinner for my thirtieth anniversary which we were celebrating at the four seasons hotel. Honestly didn't have high expectations for the food but thought it would be a nice place to have a memorable dinner. Boy were we all surprised. The fish expert came around and gave us the rundown of the different whole fish available for the night and we ended up going for a whole onaga fish line cut from Oahu with a couple sides, the sweet and sour cauliflower and the coconut cream corn and it was the best fish we've ever had that wasn't sushi/sashimi. The sides are also delicious and it was actually reasonably priced taking the food and the location into account. I highly recommend the whole fish, we had it spicy crusted style. We had 4 adults at dinner, two of us celebrating a significant anniversary, and two celebrating birthdays. We had reservations and were seated promptly at the outer perimeter of the outdoor seating. If it had been summer, we might have had an amazing sunset view, but in winter we were too late for sunset. Our server was very good, perhaps not the best we have had. Service cadence was good - no big lags, but enough time to enjoy something before moving on to the next.All of the food was excellent. We had 2 apps (poke and squid) and burrata salad. We split two entrees for the four of us, the yellowfin with seared foie gras and crusted butterfish. We purchased one bottle of chardonnay. And we ordered two desserts - chocolate semifreddo and lime chiffon cake.The cost was pretty high, which would be expected for a great seafood restaurant on Oahu. This is our second trip to Mina's. We had a light but utterly delicious dinner of bisque, ahi app (split) and avocado salads. Service was terrific. Next time in the area, we will be back, and look forward to visiting during Happy Hour. More...

Hidden gem on the West side! If you don’t want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the city, and extract only the good parts (i. e. quality, service, ambiance) combined with the tranquility and privacy of a resort, then Mina’s is a must! This is the first time we tried the Fish House, but have gone to both Noe and La Hiki at the Four Seasons and loved it. You expect the food to be really good at such a high end resort, and they do not disappoint. We sat outside to watch the amazing sunset and started with oyster special. Both sauces were very good, and the cocktail sauce was spicy. Bread (a thin fry bread) arrived with 3 toppings to try.I ordered the smoked burrata salad and hamachi raw plate. The salad came with beets, citrus and almonds. It was the citrus that really brought out the smoke of the plate, which arrived inside a dome to capture the smoke. The hamachi was served with cucumber and ginger and was amazing. My husband ordered the kampachi which came with fried rice. The flavor was amazing. As it was his birthday, they sent out our dessert with an extra something and it was a great end to our dinner. Watching the sun set over the lagoon  made it even more memorable. More...

This was the second restaurant we tried at our resort. It was our first ever date night on vacation with our child. The ambience is great where you can hear the waves and the lighting was perfect. The seating was interesting. We sat in very low seats with a table that was slightly taller than a coffee table. I had to take off my heels because my legs were uncomfortable, but it was ok. The service was excellent and very helpful. They are very accommodating to vegetarians. We started off with the coconut cream corn (which was a side), which was ok. It was nothing memorable and it was something that we forgot was even on our table at the end of the meal. We also had the smoked burrata which was delicious. I love burrata and they executed it perfectly. I wish we ordered the avocado salad instead of the cream corn, next time that's what i would do. They also gave pita bread with some olive dip, tzatiki, and hummus which was nothing special because we ate it at brunch daily. For dinner, we had one of specials made with tofu instead of fish which was delicious. It was cumin encrusted tofu on top of saffron rice and collard greens. The second dish was black garlic and miso with tofu which was very good, but slightly less flavorful than the special. For the second dish, it was great if you got every component in one bite. We ended the meal with Yuzu Crème Fraîche Cheesecake which was delicious and not heavy feeling at all. Our waitress also recommended great wines that completed the meals perfectly. My husband and I were staying next door at the Disney Aulani hotel and decided to send the kiddos to the kids club and have a nice fancy adult dinner together.  This restaurant is in the Four Seasons hotel and is very beautifully laid out.  The ambiance is really nice and the service was outstanding.  The food is obviously going to be pricey given that this is a Michael Mina establishment so we knew this going in.  He ordered oysters and loved them.  The hamachi sashimi appetizer was so good! We had delicious cocktails and wine too!  They have great cocktails and wine here!  We both had the black cod and the seafood platter broiled and they were good.  I would come back here to watch the sunset and have really good drinks and share appetizers but would skip the main entrees.  You are really there to enjoy the beautiful view. We had dinner here for a friend from out of town 11.21.19.  The restaurant is located in the Four Seasons Resort.  Parking is pretty much valet; validated with $100 dinner bill.  That is easy to cover at this place lol.Anyhow, we had the smoked marlin dip with taro chips.  This was awesomely delicious and was more than enough for the two of us.  We took the leftovers home and enjoyed it the next day.Our entrees were the filet mignon for me and the cod for her.  We shared the fried rice; enough for the both of us with some leftover to take home.  The entire meal was very good.  The service was extraordinary.Although the meal was expensive, it was very good.  Would I go again?  Yes, but not often... special occasions here and there. Excellent service, but it costs a bit, though well worth the cost. Experts in the fish do the pre-ordering presentation and explanation of fishes on the menu and this presentation is world class, as well done as any restaurant in NYC, Tokyo, London, Paris, Moscow, Shanghai, etc.

Went to this restaurant for the first time with friends. We had a reservation but it still took about 20 minutes for them to prep the table when there were several open tables. We finally got sat and the flat bread and spreads (hummus, tzatziki and olive?) were delicious. The waitress offered to get us more and it took her after eating our entrees to receive it. The reason for this 4/5 rating is because the food was delicious however the service wasn't attentive and forgetful. There was consistent reminding for even just a refill of waters. My entree was the butterfish which was quite delicious; appetizers was the French fries and Brussels sprouts which was also very delicious. For dessert I had gotten the cheesecake and that was a miss. Overall great ambiance and it's right next to the shore. Live music was great as well just the service was spotty. Made some last minute reservations here for dinner on a Monday night and I'm so glad I did. The food is beyond 5 stars. We had the tuna tartare app, the pork chop main and I had the phyllo wrapped butterfish main. .... the butterfish was my absolute favorite. It was crunchy on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. The service was also beyond 5 stars. Our server's name was Chris and he was amazing! Our mains came out before the app, which honestly is not a huge deal, but both Chris and the manager came out to apologize and brought us complimentary cocktails .... for dessert they brought us a chocolate cake slice with whole milk in champagne flutes!!! Had a small wedding at the beach and then reception dinner at Mina's. Gotta say they went above and beyond from the moment we made our reservation to the moment we left. From the delicious food, to the beautiful decorations we requested, to our cake, to the VIP service they gave us, to the amazing beach view we got, everything was on point. Our guests were in love with the place and we were happy with the whole experience. The reservation manager, Taisei, got in touch with us a couple of days after I made the reservation and took care of all my requests in a professional and friendly way. He made sure we didn't have to worry about anything, followed up with us and even though he wasn't working the day of our dinner, his crew and Justin (the manager on duty), Thomas (owner), and our waitress (I wish I remembered her name :( )took really good care of us. Food was amazing, I recommend the Smoked Marlin Dip as an appetizer.. I had the swordfish and my wife the filet mignon and we were both happy with it. Drinks were really good too. A little on the expensive side, but very worth it for the experience and great service. Only thing I wish they had was music in the outside dinning area.
