Mimi Decor and her team are amazing!
From our very first meeting to the actual event, she has been there through every step of the decor process. Planning decor for an Indian wedding is not easy, but she made the process so seamless. I was very particular about every detail of the decor, but Mimi had no problem answering my calls/emails in a timely fashion and getting me an answer to every question I had. The most compliments I received after the wedding was over, was about the decor. All of my guests were “WOWED” by Mimi’s work. A couple of years ago, we hired a different vendor for my sister's wedding and were greatly disappointed. The bad thing about weddings is you can only do it once, so you must choose wisely on who you give the job to. Many other designers do not deliver what they promote or show you but with Mimi this is not the case. Tsega and I met with Mimi Décor in February 2015 in preparation for our wedding which was on 9/12 - 9/13/15.   After meeting with several decorators we selected Mimi because of her reputation, her deep connections in the industry and more importantly the ease by which she dealt with us.   My wife and I did not want to have a lot of contract with a lot of vendors and Mimi has a very deep connection so not only was she our decorator she was also the person through whom we contract our waiters that served at our wedding as well as all our plates, chairs etc.  She made our life easy because she was a one stop shop for a lot of our key wedding needs.
 
This was a traditional Ethiopian wedding so in addition to our reception Mimi decorated our Church and as well as our Melse the next day.   We met with Mimi five times before the wedding.  I can tell you she was always available, informative and gave us the best price she could.  She is knowledgeable and was also able to give us additional contacts for people we used for other services (i.e. Hair Dressers).   Above what was contracted Mimi went out of her way to Make our wedding venue look amazing.  All our guests could not believe how beautifully the venue was decorated.  She is gifted, talented and one of the most amazing human being we had met.
 
Simply put Mimi is the reason why our guests enjoyed our wedding and why our wedding was successful.  We recommend Mimi to anyone who is looking to get married.  Words are not adequate to share how delighted we are for having had her as our decorator and we would recommend her to anyone else to decorate your wedding.  Mimi is the epitome of what a Decorator Should BE.

I LOVED working with Mimi Decor for my wedding and will definitely call on her again for special events in the future. Her designs are beautiful, and if like me, you have a definite look in mind, she will execute it flawlessly! I asked her to create huge decorations for my outdoor wedding and the venue was truly enchanting. And the reception/dinner venue was also so beautiful - everyone loved it! My wedding event was at the Springfield Golf and Country Club. Initially, I called the two florists on its preferred vendor list. One of them was not responsive and the other doesn't have the tall vases I wanted. Furthermore, they don't have any columns for flower decor. Out of frustration, I went online and found Mimi Decor. The pictures they had on the website were very impressive so I immediately called them. When we went her studio, I saw all kinds of tall vases and decorations. Mimi was fantastic! I was so shocked and mesmerized when I walked into my ballroom. I was a little nervous when we started planning because I did not really know what I wanted and my family was on a strict budget. Mimi was very patient with me and was extremely flexible in meeting with me when I was available. I was living in Los Angeles while planning a wedding in the DMV area. Mimi had phone conferences with me and even set up meetings with my mom and sister and emailed me photos. She was so great! Since I didn't know what I wanted, it was a little difficult for Mimi to figure out what was my vision was. She was very reassuring and she was so right! George and I would like to thank you and your Mimi Décor crew for all their hard work at the Siatis-Charuhas wedding reception held on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church Meletis Charuhas Center. When we snuck in on Saturday night to practice our waltz before the wedding day, we were stunned at the work you and your crew had already done and were continuing to do throughout the night in preparing for the next day’s wedding reception. Although you were not finished, it already looked so amazing, more so than either one of us could even have imagined.

It is not possible to express in words what our guests thought of the décor. Our videographer was present when the first guests entered the community center after the wedding ceremony ended. He told us they gasped in surprise and delight. They couldn’t believe the transformation from basketball court to fabulous reception hall.

Where to start? The stage was transformed from something a band typically uses at our biannual church festivals to a masterpiece setting for a wedding head table. We were amazed at the transformation. The drapes of cloth, mixed with lighting was a blend of beauty with romance. It gave the bridal party a soft, warm glow, yet truly set us off from the rest of the guests. We were definitely the center of attention.

The head tables and family tables were beautifully done. The three half moons were a perfect idea, better than one long rectangular table. I think the three half moons gave us a more romantic feel and look than the traditional long table. The drapes on the head, family, and cake tables really set them apart from the other guest tables. It made those tables stand out and look special, exactly the look and feel we were hoping for. The cake table really set off the cake, as well. The whole look, drapes, lighting, and all, took our breath away.

The guest tables also looked beautiful, exactly as I had seen the sample look at your house. They looked so elegant when placed in their proper positions throughout the hall. It was a sea of gold and white, appropriate and traditional colors for a wedding. The chairs with their gold satin bows added charm and character to the décor. They were the perfect match to the table linens.

All the extras looked great together, as well – the linen for the service tables and bar, the linen for the escort table, gift table, and coat check. All looked fabulous and well put together. The votives and the mirrors added warmth and romance to the whole reception area. It truly looked romantic. The steps leading to the stage looked awesome! No one knew the flowers were fake. The steps looked elegant and were perfectly placed. Never had I seen the hall look so elgant.Thank you, thank you So Much MimiDecor,We will use you again and again for our freinds and family. Where can I start? From day one we meet with her she gave us the facts not the fantasy that others would like to hear. We didn�t even sign a contract with her, but she told us everything there is to know about wedding ceremonies.
