Excellent atmosphere, a cool modern chic revival of an old car shop. Great bar, a selection of booze that rivals Dichitomy's. Great food too, a fun and interesting mix of common and uncommon ingredients. The menu is also fluid, with new and well balanced dishes appearing regularly. There is an occasional misstep on a dish that the chef or cook didn't sample, (too heavy salt for example). The accidents are infrequent though, making Milo a necessary dining option. More...

Not the new guy in town anymore, Milo brings the charm and sophistication of a bigger city to the people and price point of Waco. If you're a single foodie in town, this is the spot for a self love splurge! Everything is delicious, farm to table, and dynamic from menu to music.As an update, Andy served me and had a stellar experience. He was friendly, attentive, and exceptionally professional, bringing to a warm and positive vibe to my date for one. When an appetizer came a bit overdone, he kindly swooped in and corrected the issue, in sharp contrast to the inconvenience that customers feel when speaking up. Truly, he put in due diligence and really framed the meal in a light where I felt valued and welcome, which most single diners are not always given the courtesy of. My husband and I stopped by with our two kids. We had Jamie H as our server. She was very helpful and patient to help us pick out some GF options. Dallas was our waitress and was incredible. We ordered several different dishes. The truffle fries were perfectly crispy. The biscuits and gravy were a great balance of flavor and texture . Then the Bloody Mary with brunch was spicy and well mixed. I highly recommend coming. Plus the price point provides great food for a very fair price. Great job, Milo All Day. Tonight I was out to dinner with friends. We were having incredible conversation and eating great food when a gentleman approached the table with a glass in his hand. He hands me the glass and says “I loved your website - we had some Koval behind the bar and I just had to bring this over.”.The entire table was FLOORED. Turns out that Milo pays attention to who their guests are - they do research on guests that make reservations and in doing so, discovered my website, where Koval features prominently on the front page.THIS is the kind of marketing that can’t be bought. The small glass of whiskey was a negligible cost, but what he didn’t know was that two of the guests at the table are local - it’s an experience we’ll all remember and will definitely tell others. In the local guests’ they live close enough to actually bring other people too. The simple act of paying attention to their customers has netted Milo four life-long customers. In town from California visiting my daughter at Baylor and we had a fabulous dinner here. Relaxing, open and airy, and chic interior and delicious farm to table food. We enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts, burger and shrimp and grits. All were fabulous. A nice wine list and when they were out of the Rose' I ordered, they brought tastes of the other two on the menu for me to choose from. Very intimate and personal service. I came for breakfast. My wife had the farmers daughter and I had just like buddy holly. I have been in NYC, Boston, LA and other places. The pricing is inexpensive and the food is fabulous. We were in the area as my kids were taking a tour of Baylor the following day. Since I have never been to Waco before, I had no idea what to expect in terms of food options. On the recommendation of a friend who relocated to the area, we stopped at Milo's for a Sunday night dinner. What an amazing experience! For appetizers we ordered the Brussels sprouts, the sweet potatoes, and the pork belly. The pork belly was good, but the Brussels sprouts and sweet potataoes were spectacular. I would go back just to enjoy those with a glass of wine. On the recommendation of our server, Andy (who was a very nice guy), most of us ordered the lamb shank. The lamb was cooked perfectly and served with bamboo rice, something I had limited experience with. The glaze, the lamb, and the bamboo rice paired perfectly with the Cote de Rhône that Andy recommended. My daughter ordered the chicken and let me try it. It was moist, perfectly cooked and wonderful with the sweet potatoes that accompanied it. One member of our table ordered a drink with whiskey from the distillery across the street and I ordered a lavender cider, that was quite good. I saw some of the reviews that said this place struggled with quality consistency. I hope this place gets those issues worked out because, based upon our experience, Milo's has the potential to be not just a really good restaurant, but a fantastic restaurant. I would give more stars if I could! Milo All Day always impresses me anytime I come in. With an often changing menu and fresh ingredients, I'm never disappointed. As a college student, it's hard to find time to eat healthy, filling meals in the short time that I have. I stop by milo at least twice a week and grab brunch or dinner there and it's always great. Also, if you go (which you most definitely should) I definitely recommend asking for Kevin. He's a very knowledgeable and caring server. He takes his time and makes sure that everything comes out right. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We were blown away with the food at Milo. Everything was very fresh and absolutely delicious. We came in to town to do the Magnolia experience and hadn't been blown away with any of our food so far.
