Fabulous lunch and brew. We were in the area, had heard good things earlier, so stopped in for lunch. Pub was bustling but kept a welcoming vibe. Service was really good and quick. Stout that I ordered was excellent, and so was the Chicken and Waffles (only negative was that it was just one waffle, so it's a bit misnamed). Professional and attentive service, very spacious place. The best part is that they have outdoor seating - on the ground and also on the second floor. Mussels were not the greatest- they lacked meat and the beer and cheese soup was too salty for my taste. Wood roasted beets and burrata was delicious. This is quite possibly the best restaurant I have ever been to. Honestly, coming to this restaurant created one of the top 10 days of my life. At first I was a bit skeptical, I can’t lie. You’ll find millhouse brewing company buried within one of the greasier crannies of Poughkeepsie NY. However, you cannot judge a cover of a book by its look. This place dished me up 5, count it - FIVE 7.4+ rating beers in the flight I ordered. Next I was introduced to the pretzel bois... these bad Larry’s were absolutely unreal. Buttery, crispy exterior, with a luscious doughy center - add some beer cheese and house mustard and you have yourself a good old fashion pretzel palooza. Next I was served Juicy Lucy’s cheesesteak. This thing was an absolute BEHEMOTH. We’re taking steak, garlic mayo, fried onions, mozzarella sticks, and god knows what else. And then you find yourself dipping this monster into a bucket of au jus - I needn’t say more. Then, Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more wild they toss a chocolate peanut butter sundae at me. After that I was an emotional wreck. It was like I had just consumed the perfect meal. Nothing will ever compare. It's true... the chicken and waffles are very good. The spices in the chicken breading is to die for... not the normal southern fried. Waffle has a sriracha maple syrup which is a definite complement. The special bacon egg and cheese pizza with spices from an everything bagel. Excellent. Also. Awesome lunch. Smoked wings were fantastic. Beer flight was picked by my server and on point. Poutine fries were also delish. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants! Food, beer and drinks are always amazing. I await the time every year when Cucumber Blessinfs is released and love velvet panda too! My only complaint is that I never have room to eat more when it comes time for dessert (because those are incredible too)! The ‘fig & pig’ pizza and buffalo fried Brussels sprouts are a must! Back again June8,2019. Stopped in early and avoided the evening rush. Same great food, beer and service! April 11, 2018. Love this place! Excellent in-house beer selection. Stopped by for a quick bite and an order to go. First, points for a beer menu that lists alc% and IBU along with accurate tasting notes. This is sadly not as common as it should be. The beer I got was exactly as described and delicious. My pizza was decent, but the take out for my family was terrific, salmon entre especially. I asked for medium rare, it came out medium rare. Great beer! This is a really nice spot, they've done a great job restoring and repurposing an old mill and turning it into a place you want to go to drink and eat.
