We dined on some delicious food last night from the Milk and Honey food truck. My husband had the bison burger and I had the home made veggie burger. The portions are large and taste so good. Milk and Honey came to our neighborhood some weeks back and had some technical difficulties, but they seem to have worked out the kinks. We were happy we gave them a second try. I was excited to see Milk & Honey pivot to a food truck model recently. Previously, I enjoyed their cafe on Long Shoals. Now, I help book food trucks for our neighborhood in South Asheville, so of course I reached out to book Milk & Honey's food truck. Chris and Leslie are very sweet and friendly. They made the food truck booking easy! The menu looked delicious! We ordered the Cobb Salad, American Burger, Kids Grilled Cheese and Zeppole. The Cobb Salad was great - crisp greens, a delicious dressing and a healthy portion of roasted chicken. The egg, bacon and avocado added that touch of good fat to make it taste more decadent. With roasted chicken cut like that, you need to watch out for bones. That's par for the course in my book - this is not processed cubed chicken, but some may not be prepared for that. My husband's burger was great! The meat patty was hand -formed, the bun was soft and it was well seasoned. The tater tots were crispy and addictive! TATER TOTS - why do I love you so much? My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese and wedge fries. I never had Zeppole ricotta donuts before and I really like these! They were light with a slightly custard like center sprinkled with a dash of sea salt and mildly sweet. None were left. While we had to wait a little bit for our food, we enjoyed the fresh food, definitely not your typical food truck and worth waiting for freshly made food. More...
