I thoroughly enjoyed the photography classes I took with Mike. He is very hands on with his lessons and was genuinely invested in my interests within the photography world and how he could revolve the lessons around those particular interests. I recently attended Mike's Intermediate photo class and it was amazing. I have been shooting photos as an amateur for nearly 13 years, but never felt like I had a full understanding of my camera settings, what made a good photo, or how to properly post process. After taking mikes class I finally feel like I can take my camera out, take ONE photo, and know that its properly exposed and ready for post. Mike does an excellent job of breaking down advanced camera techniques into simple to digest bites of information. My photos have come leaps and bounds in a very short period of time and I have Mike to thank for these improvements. I highly recommend anyone to attend one of Mike's classes. More...

We have had multiple opportunities to use Mike as an educator at our photo club and he is always the most anticipated educator we bring in. He has walked us through photoshop, image composition as well as teaching us different approaches to photography. I cannot think of a more qualified instructor that relates to our members in a better way than Mike does. He is encouraging and thoughtful in his suggestions or critiques and can challenge your photography in ways that will improve your images. I've known Mike Busby for a number of years, and we have shot together on night shoots many times while we both stood freezing on top of building rooftops all over downtown. He is a very good technical shooter, and I have always seen him look out for any of the other photographers I have invited for a particular shoot. Simply put, having a good teacher on a rooftop with me helping the others (after total darkness), has always helped me alleviate my safety concerns for the photographers I invited for a roof shoot.
