Midtown Mutts is absolutely the way to go if you need someone to look after your pup. My girlfriend and I both work hectic schedules and there are times where we have to be away from home longer than we like. In those cases, MM delivers every time. Their online scheduling process is super easy and they are incredibly flexible and accommodating with updated schedules or last minutes (ie hour or so) requests for services. We use their walking service to get our dog out and about for an extra walk and couldn't be happier. The follow-up emails, which include a short recap of the walk plus pictures, are really such a fun and personal touch. Everyone we've worked with at MM has been great and Cassie, the founder, is a wonderful person. She came by before our first dog walk and spent time getting to know us, our dog, our apartment/area, etc to make sure her and her staff could provide the best service possible. More...

Really great service. My boyfriend and I tend to plan trips away last minute and Midtown Mutts has been great at making appointments last minute (though we try not to! ). We really appreciate the three pictures and description that is emailed to us with each checkup. I am happy to give Midtown Mutts another 5-star rating after we hired them again to watch our cat, Lucky, while we were away on a 2 week trip recently.  This was the longest we have ever been gone and I was nervous about how things would go for Lucky.  I didn't need to worry.  Kelsey and her team put my mind at ease.  Both pet sitters who came to our house sent detailed reports daily via email, with photos, which was very reassuring.  They took care of Lucky's needs (including the added task of giving her oral meds for arthritis every day) and made sure she had some play/cuddle time, too.  They also watered all my plants on my patio, which was helpful.  When I had a concern on the second-to-last day of our trip, when the pet sitter wrote that she was done and had enjoyed taking care of Lucky, but it was a day early for that, I called Kelsey to straighten out the schedule.  She got back to me within minutes and sorted everything out.  I highly recommend Midtown Mutts if you have a beloved pet that you want well taken care of in your home while you are away. My wife and I moved to Sac a year ago and have been using Midtown Mutts as our trusted dog walking service. We cannot say enough good things about Cassi and Erin. Our dog, Beans, can be a bit temperamental and they both put her at ease right away and always came through for us even if it was short notice. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Cassi at the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior where she and I were enrolled. I love how she has such a passion for serving her clients well, not to mention her professionalism. She has so much knowledge and experience about dogs and pet care. I can't say enough good things about Midtown Mutts! Cassi came to my house and did my initial meeting, and througout the process was always helpful, professional, and communicative. My dog walker, Erin, has been an absolute delight. She takes excellent care of my dog, and really seems to enjoy her work. I used Midtown Mutts to have someone feed and care for my cat while I was away for a week around Christmas. I didn't anticipate how much how much I would appreciate receiving daily email updates with pictures of my cat! I found the service easy to schedule and affordable (it was cheaper to use this than fly with my cat), and I'll definitely use them again when I'm traveling in the future. More...

When your pup is really more like your child, you have to make sure that they receive the BEST care.Jameson is beyond spoiled - he's co-parented by two people who love him immensely. On the rare occasion where one of us is not available to walk him, we only trust Midtown Mutts to watch his royal highness (hah). Midtown Mutts has always been able to accommodate, even on short notice. I love the pictures that they send following the walk, along with the narrative! Midtown Mutts offers walking services and pup sitting (I believe). It's been 3 years since my last review - but I wanted to reiterate that Midtown Mutts is BY FAR the BEST dog walking service I have ever come across. They are reliable, knowledgeable and go above and beyond in everything they do. Cassi and her team walked my Golden Retriever from 4 months old to almost 5 years old until I moved out of the Sacramento area. It was not easy for us to say goodbye! Absolutely cannot say enough good things about Midtown Mutts. I trust them implicitly with my little frenchies and cocker spaniel, and I love that they send me emails in their updates with pictures of my fur babies. The scheduling tool online is very simple, user friendly, and they are quick to confirm services. Cassi, the owner is always prompt at returning my phone calls and emails. Their online user interface allows me to pay online, two thumbs up! They've changed their software a couple of times, which took some getting used to, but it was just an adjustment on my part. Midtown mutts has been sooo amazing since the day we got our puppy! Cassie came and met us and gave us many helpful tips to handle and train our puppy. She is always so helpful and responds right away to make sure everything is in place. She answers any questions and makes sure you are happy with your service. The service is so easy and the services they offer are awesome. The dog walking has an email response so you know when the dog walker got to your house and when they left which also includes pictures and information about the visit. I would highly recommend midtown mutts to anyone looking for high quality dog walking or dog care that you can trust! Cassi, the owner, is awesome!  Michaela is the sitter who walks my energetic Labrador retriever, Penny. I'm a returning client, and was so impressed to find out that the walker scans a barcode that sends you an email when she arrives and email when she leaves.  I LOVE that! I also get pictures and a few comments on how Penny did on the walk. It gives me peace of mind to know that Penny gets a visit and a walk while I'm at work. Michaela also refills Penny's water and gives her the frozen kong peanut butter treat I leave for her in the freezer.  Penny is so happy when I get home, pretty relaxed.  I can tell the walk makes such a difference!  Love this business! The crew at midtown mutts are amazing! We just got a Ridgeback puppy and now he's 4 months old.  I called on a Wednesday, Cassi and Michaela met him in Friday and everything was set up for the following Monday.  The online check in and check out system is super easy to use, and after the first visit, Michaela sent a very sweet summary of what they did AND adorable pictures of our puppy playing with another dog that day.  To say we were impressed and comfortable with them is an understatement.  Not sure how they compare on pricing, but it sure seems very reasonable.  We plan to use Midtown Mutts services for a long time. This is a great business. There is a scan in service that lets the dog walker "sign in" upon entering and "sign out" upon departing. The scan sends an email directly to your phone so you are aware the dog walker is there and has left. In addition, the walker sends pics and updates during the visit and you can even look at a map of where they walked. Before using this service, I had a dog walker who was unreliable and I was unsure if she actually came to the house at all. This has erased my worries. More...

If I could give six stars, I would! After using Midtown Mutts for over a year and half, I have nothing but great things to say about their service. My dog and I are very grateful for all the wonderful work that they do. Highly recommend!Midtown Mutts was recommended to me by a coworker when I first arrived in Sacramento, and since then Cassi has been a lifesaver for my dog and I several times. Cassi comes twice a week on a regular basis, and has watched my dog when I've been away for both short and pretty extended periods of time. I've never posted review but Casey was so great that I would like to come here to let anybody know about him. Hope that helps pets owners to choose a right caregiver for your family member(s).  I would like to give more than 5 stars to Casey who is Cassi's partner. He took care of  my 2 cats during the summer while I was out of town for 1 month last year and 2 months this summer. He is very responsible and sent me email with the pictures of my cats to make sure that everything was going fine and I don't have worry. The both of my cats were taken great care and given a lot of love and attention that they both love him.(they both miss him).  I think he really loves the animals and knows how to care of them, not just physically care but emotionally care as well. He is very kind and nice person. I even can't describe how much I appreciate his respectful and great care. I strongly recommend him to everyone when you need somebody to take care of your pets, so you don't have to worry anything and can enjoy your own time while you are out. Because he treats my cats just like as his own pets, and the house as well.  Their rate is very reasonable but with more than just great care.I am sure that I will ask him when I need caregiver for my pets in the future. We have two really high energy dogs who get separation anxiety when my wife and I are gone.  They absolutely LOVE Cassi!  It's easy to tell from how crazy they go with excitement when they notice her walking up to the house!And she does an amazing job tiring them out too.  Which I am very grateful for - because few people understand what a "brisk" walk is needed to give these two crazies enough exercise to calm them down.  It great to have them happy and exhausted when we get home! Beefcake (and his humans) have had Cassi with us for a month now and we love her! She's super reliable which is very important to us because our dog is like our child and its nice to know she will be there when she says she will. She also sends cute little photos and updates and her rates are extremely fair which is just an added bonus! Also, I like that she had us fill out a detailed sheet about the pup. I have two spastic, needy dogs - one small, one large. I have a semi-complicated situation involving the large dog, a kennel, the cat, the couch, etc. You get the picture. Cassi was recommended to me from a friend, so I hesitantly gave her a try one day when I had to work late. I came home to a well-mannered, tired dog. This speaks VOLUMES to me about her abilities, as I have tried other pet sitters who left my dog more worked up than before. To echo the previous reviewers, Cassi with Midtown Mutts is awesome!  I was nervous about leaving my epileptic lab and chiweenie for five days, but Cassi came over 3 times a day to walk, feed and medicate my menagerie of pets.  My arrival home was anticlimatic as the the dogs were relaxed and not their usual 'hyper when you come home' selves.  I was expecting non-stop excitement. Cassi has great low key energy (great for excitable, nervous doggies), knowledge of dog behavior and genuine concern for your animal's well being.  To wrap this up, Midtown Mutts is bonded and insured and I will definitely be calling Cassi again.
