This place is terrific! I only removed one star bc I wish the pricing for a class package or monthly membership was more affordable. That said, the facility is phenomenal. It is spotless and big. Lots of room for the various classes offered, and there are plenty! Staff are consistently friendly and they really create a welcoming atmosphere for people of all activity levels and ages. The equipment is updated as needed (weights are not old, mats are new and clean etc) and the instructors are awesome! A number of teachers have been there for many years and I believe that speaks to the business practices. I have been going here on and off (due to costs) for the last 5 years or so, and it really is a great place. I do recommend Mid American Fitness and while I know running a business is complicated, hopefully there's a way to make prices a bit more accessible for less affluent folks. More...

I recently purchased a Groupon to try MAF and could not be happier!Pros:+ Super clean, new equipment, fun music+ Instructors are very passionate, upbeat, and knowledgeable+ Very easy to sign up for classes - everything is done online+ Awesome community - a lot of the women seem to know each other but everyone has been so welcoming and friendly+ The classes are A M A Z I N G. They push you out of your comfort zone. You'll be doing all sorts of exercises to work every muscle in your body. I've done BodyPump, Barre Fit, Habata, and Sculpt + Tone.No Cons but just a recommendation:- There's not really a place to change except the bathroom (I come after work and end up changing at work) which is fine but another area would be great. All around love this place! Check it out if you're looking to mix up your workouts. More...

The trainers are uber helpful. Some of the classes including BodyPump, Spin and Tabata Bootcamp could use some "help" with either an aid or secondary trainer for injury prevention. I have not seen that issue with TRX Iron Circuit or Sculpt & Tone HIT Circuit where the trainers demonstrate for the entire class once and then walk around and correct form. Tabata, BodyPump and Spin Classes have the trainers engaged/leading the sessions leaving no time for them to walk around and correct form. Proper form and correct use of equipment is essential; for injury prevention and actively engaging the right muscles. The 3 out of the 5 classes mentioned could improve by perhaps having an aid walk around the room ensuring that attendees have proper form. Especially with the body pump, which is weight lifting class, doing improper cleans and deadlifts can really strain and injury people.A few other thoughts here; I was really attracted to this gym because the use of the TRX offerings but I peeked at their old schedule and newer schedule and it looks like they are continually just chopping/slashing classes. Currently, they only offer 2 classes they incorporate TRX but no TRX based classes. I hope they have plans to add these back in at some point it sets a gym above the rest when they have something others do not offer. One last thing, this is not related to the actual gym classes but an experience I had with the front desk staff regarding some black ice. I almost considered knocking down my review to 3 stars based solely on this experience. I notified them that there was a great deal of black ice near my vehicle and that I almost "ate it". I figured their parking lot was managed by the leasing company thought there would be some action taken by the office staff to address this issue or at some point follow up with after the class and say "hey, we just wanted to let you know we contacted the management company and notified them of the black ice patches (there were multiple) in the parking lot. Rather than having that sort of reaction from the front desk staff, I felt like they brushed off my experience. Truly, like no acknowledgment saying sorry that happened or saying anything to the effect of we will let the management company know. I found that disappointing, it is indicative of their lack of empathy and concern for their patrons. Did I mention this gym holds classes for very young kids? Imagine if a child stepped out onto the ice, ouch. All in all, I hope to have better customer service experiences going forward. More...

The Zumba and fit barre classes and instructors are excellent. They motivate me to come back every week. I also really like that there is no pressure to join with a long term contract. You can buy classes as desired.

I recently joined the studio in February because I was looking to switch up my workout routine (I had been practicing Bikram yoga for about 6 months and was getting bored). This studio was exactly what I was looking for! They have a wide variety of classes that really give your body a good workout - spin, barre, weight lifting, yoga, and much more. You're able to take each class at your own pace and level, depending on your limitations or how hard you want to push yourself. They also have dance/pom classes for children. The class times are convenient and work well around my 9-5 work schedule. The membership fees are pretty affordable (prices on website). The instructors and staff are super friendly and willing to help or answer any questions. They make an effort to remember your name and get to know you personally as well which really makes me feel welcomed and appreciated. The studio itself is nice and clean, but it seems like it used to be an office building that they remodeled to accommodate a fitness center. In doing so, there aren't many windows or natural lighting. Another downside is that the parking lot can get a bit hectic around the peak busy times. More...
