I normally don't eat out for soul food but my family friends at Micheaux's Diner make it worth while. The smothered pork chops were so tender. Food is decent customer service is on point if only the dining area was bigger ended up eating in my car cause I didn't feel like people walking all over me while I'm trying to eat would be nice if they had some other drinks rather then canned soda, like kool-aid, lemonade or tea. I have offically given Mikki's Cafe a benediction. (may the Lord watch between me and thee)...3rd Sunday at Micheaux's Cafe was IT! The food was soooo good. Lord continue to bless the hands of the chef and all who served. The service was top notch. It was the best. The food was even better. Oxtails, collard greens, blackeye peas. Lawd and I had a slice of that sweet potato pecan pie. After we were fat full they bought out some bread pudding and coffee! This was my second visit. Oh my gosh! This place! This place is absolutely terrific! We had read good reviews but the good reviews don't do it justice! It's a small place and while you can eat there (we did) most people seem to get their food to go. Next time I have a big family thing I will probably order dinner to go from here. It's all made from scratch and you can tell. On top of that the guy dealing with all the customers (owner maybe? Not sure) was great at customer service. its that thing you don't find lots of places anymore - where he actually engaged the patrons and really went above and beyond in all areas.
