We enjoyed ourselves. This was the first time we have visited. We wanted to try something new that was close. The inside dining was nicer than I had expected from the photos posted on here. They have QR codes for the menu's. The service was good. We had a gentleman and he was very quick and attentive to us. I got a Steak Burrito Suizo. It was very good, they forgot that I asked for extra rice instead of beans but promptly brought it right out with no questions. My guest got the vegetarian tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. We shared an order of quac, plenty for both of us with extra for our meals. The cantina salsa was also my favorite kind especially with the fresh salted chips. We enjoyed ourselves! More...

Freaking amazing place. I travel six states for business, and go to Mexican restaurants everywhere. This is a Top-5 Mexican dining experience. Salsa so good you'll want to do what I did, and buy a container to take with you. (If only they shipped to Indianapolis, where I live.). Mia's is a small but cute Mexican restaurant in Mount Prospect. It has a curbside patio which is where we dined. This is my second trip here and both times I got variations on the skirt steak which is really good. I chose the TAMPIQUENA this time around.This is a cilantro marinated skirt steak served with a cheese enchilada, and covered in mole sauce, black beans, guacamole, grilled onions, and grilled jalapenos. I found the mole to be quite good and the steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. The service was also good, and I will be back to try other dishes. I'd say my only real complaint was the fact that they didn't have a paper menu. It's a scan only menu, and although it's not a problem for me, my girlfriend's phone always has problems with these so we were sharing my phone a bit to decide. I also thought what if someone didn't have a phone or maybe is elderly and didn't know how to work it or have the app? I think that's a little bit of a hassle. I'd also say the salsa is quite bland. I asked the server to bring me something with some more kick - which she did - but I don't think it was salsa. It was more like hot sauce. The chips were very good, but it's time to pair it up with a 5 star salsa. So, barring the menu issue and the salsa, everything else was superb. Mia's is a small but cute Mexican restaurant in Mount Prospect. It has a curbside patio which is where we dined. Did I miss something? We ate here based on the reviews. If I could give no stars, I would. My no star review matches the taste of the food, none! I had the veggies burrito, it was basically a huge tortilla wrapped in a teaspoon of canned mixed veggies with some lettuce. My husband had the chicken burrito, it had some tasteless chicken and some lettuce. No cheese, no beans, no rice and no anything. Our 2 meals together wouldn't be enough food to feed a 2 year old child. $11 for a house margarita again no flavor, no booze. We are still hungry. Don't waste your time or money. More...

Don't walk, run to this restaurant !!! It is my favorite restaurant in MP period ! The food is insanely good and service is always fantastic! Our favorite server is Erica, she knows the menu and always has great suggestions. Our favorite time to go is Saturday afternoons. Mia's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I started out with their delicious margarita and chips and salsa. I'm a big fan of both. The margaritas always require a refill!The opening appetizer, if you don't count chips and salsa (I don't, but my doctor does. Ugh!) was Mia's delicious ceviche! It is so light, flavorful and packed with shrimp. It's a must try.Then I had the flautas! So full of flavor with a perfect crunch! I went with chicken flautas. This is great as an entree or appetizer. There are three to an order, so be prepared to fight for that extra one if sharing!Finally, I had the tamales. Fresh corn and pablano tamales stuffed with the chef's weekly special. The poblanos and fresh corn make these stand out from a standard tamale. They are extremely filling, so plan accordingly! Went to Mia's during summer of 2021. We sat outdoors at a table. The service was incredibly slow and we had to flag down the waitress multiple times BUT it was during the pandemic and I'm sure they were short staffed so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. The margaritas were excellent but the tacos were only okay. We ordered fish tacos, steak, and ground beef. The fish tacos were the best because they were huge. Simple, yet excellent! If you're looking for a step up in your casual Mexican craving, come to Mia's. The chips are fresh and the salsa is good when in house dining. We started our meal with the granadita cocktail - not too sweet and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered the steak burrito dinner. Burrito had a healthy portion of meat which made him happy. He just wished it came with sour cream. Very good otherwise! I had their taco Tuesday special (minimum of 3 tacos). All tacos are double tortilla which I love. I ordered the camaron (shrimp), nortenos (steak with pico), and Baja. The nortenos was my favorite one! It's a step up from just a casual steak taco, but better!
