Mike & Barbi have created a most amazing offering of exquisitely chosen items made in Mexico. As you walk deeper into the rooms of the shop, the treasures are more and more amazing - charming Alebrije in varying sizes, life-size 2-dimensional horse head sculptures, Dia De Los Muertes figurines, handmade furniture and statement lighting - something for every price range and taste. And they are so friendly and inviting, which adds to the whole experience. More...

A beautiful store with an amazing selection of Mexican art available. Prices range from a couple of dollars to thousands of dollars but whatever you purchase here you can be sure that it's going to be unique. This is definitely not your usual souvenir store and I felt that the majority of the prices were fair for what you get. They will also ship your purchases. We received our purchases about a week after we had stopped at the store and nothing was damaged due to the exceptional packing job the folks at the store did for us. They have an amazing selection ranging from furniture to dinnerware, from Day of the Dead items to hand made garden decorations and wall hangings. Went to Sedona to go home decor shopping and revisit Silver Son. We stopped at Mexidona first and Silver Son didn't hold a candle to Mexidona. Barbi and Mike (and the rest of the staff) were incredibly accommodating from the get go. They were helpful, flexible, and an absolute pleasure to work with. In addition to the amazing service (they even helped us load our car and provided protection for the items we purchased), their prices were fair and the quality of the merchandise was unbeatable. After getting home we realized an item we purchased would not work in our home. They were very gracious and have a very fair return policy. We will definitely be back and enjoyed our experience from start to finish. Thank you Mexidona!! More...

Drove up to Sedona for southwest decor and Navajo rugs. We visited a few stores but liked Mexidona the best. Their employees are very friendly and helpful. We were greeted at the door and offered coffee and water. Someone came to offer us help or answer questions every 10 minutes. Their selection was very good and priced fairly. One of the items we loved was damaged. We probably wouldn't have noticed but the owners Mike and Barbie pointed it out and gave us a nice discount. We also visited Silver Son but found their items to be overpriced and a little cheesy. At Mexidona, Mike and Barbie helped us carry our purchases to the car and Mike even took the time to help me secure the load. Would highly recommend if you love Mexican and southwest home furnishings. More...

I've loved Mexidona since their doors opened many years ago. Wonderful, vibrant and authentic merchandise that's well priced. Always my first Christmas shopping place. This week, though, they really went the extra mile. I called to ask about something I have (lighted cherry blossoms) that I wanted to get for my Mom for Mother's day. The woman I spoke to said they were out of stock. About 10 minutes later I got a call from the owner, giving me the number of his friend who owns a similar store in another town. This was Tuesday, today is Thursday, and the package was just delivered. Phenomenal Customer Service!!! Thanks Mike and Will- More...

Neat 'little' shop on the main stretch in Sedona. Stopped in to do some comparison shopping w/ Son Silver that we found earlier in our excursion. The store has similar items & comparable pricing, the plus is that they have a yelp check in discount that gives you 15% off so of course I bought what I wanted here! The sales lady was nice enough and the storefront is very deceiving, just like Son silver, the store is quite larger than what it seems.  One room of treasures leads to another... fun!  I can't wait to go back when I can spend a little more time browsing all the goodies! Really neat shop in Sedona. Everything they sell is made in a Latin American country (vast majority Mexico, some Peru, a few others) and of pretty high quality. On the day I was there, 3 of the owners were behind the counter: mom and her 2 grown kids. Cool. There's furniture, a HUGE selection of crosses and garden decor, glassware, woven items, and a lot of Dia de los Muertos art. Some of the stuff is souvenir quality, but most of it I would consider as a gift or to put in my own home. Compared to many of the stores in Sedona, this one is reasonably priced. When I travel, I pick up a Christmas ornament as a souvenir. I bought my "Sedona" ornament here: a little ceramic hand-painted beetle. Thanks to the Yelp check-in offer (which the owners were super excited to see), I got 10% off. Thanks, Yelp! More...

If you love Mexican art, this place rocks!! I have searched high and low for Mexican goods in San Diego, Tucson, and various other places in the West and Southwest, and this store is my FAVORITE! ! OMG, there are eight rooms full of furniture, patio items, clay artwork, tin and metal, milagros, chickens, sleeping Pedros, javelinas, you name it...I am on a shopper's high when I find a place like this, only wish I would've had more dinero to spend. I bought a tin flaming heart with a banner that stated, "I left my Heart in Sedona" for my kitchen, and an exquisite clay cross for my mother made in Tonala. The cross was just $12.00 and the heart, $14.00. The people working there were extremely helpful, explaining what regions items were from, and getting items out of storage for me to look at. I will be ordering over the phone for Christmas. I highly recommend this terrific store. Like a fellow yelper, I do wish they had a web site with items for sale, that might be dangerous to my credit card, though...CHECK THIS OUT, AMIGOS!! More...

This was our first visit to Mexidona Importers last month and it won't be our last.  We visit Sedona about every other year and so we were glad that we finally took the time to check it out. Perfect timing! I'm redecorating my kitchen!!  We first shopped at Tlaquepaque's small Mexican shop-Casas Bonitas de Mexico and bought a few items.  I bought 4 dinner plates (Talavera) and a couple gecko wall hangings.  We moved on to Mexidona as  the shop employee advised for better selection.  Mexidona does have a better selection including furniture.   I bought 2 more plates, screaming rooster (2), salt & pepper shakers, a creamer (that can also be used for salsa or a small flower pot), colorful napkins and black wrought iron napkin rings, and a pottery piece of a young braided girl holding flowers.  My favorite piece is the sun with the blowing rays in a spash of colorful patterns.  This piece hangs on my accent wall in my kitchen.  (pictures uploaded on this site).  My husband loves hot sauce and loves it hot! The owner opened up a couple bottles for him to try which I thought was really cool. We bought 2 bottles. The reason  why  I didn't score Mexidona a 5 star. No online ordering-  This is a huge negative in my book.  I shop online often and can only make it to Sedona every other year.  This is a bit frustrating knowing they get new merchandise often. They have a website with photos of their merchandise but no prices so you have to call to get the price and place an order.  The napkins that I bought in orange and yellow are very vibrant and beautiful but they did not have  any green or blues in stock.   The store employee who was very friendly showed me a printout of what the colors would look like and explained she could order and ship them to me.  Our over all shopping experience was very pleasant.  The prices are high but most items are handmade/painted and you really do get quality pieces that are unique. We bought a lot of "little" things here, but they also had some very nice furniture and art - which the people that worked there let us know they'd be more than happy to ship to us.  The employees were extremely friendly and helpful.  We came away with some Talavera yard art, a Botero print, a couple of small ceramic statues, all kinds of stuff.  Its not cheap, but I didn't think their selection was unreasonably priced.  At some point I'd like to go back for more.Update: There were a couple of items we wished we had bought when we were in town, and we don't know when we'll be back, so we called them up and asked them to email some photos of a couple of sacred heart metal garlands.  They sent the pix right away and we ordered two and had them shipped out to CA.  Wish we had a store like this in the Bay Area.
