I can honestly say, being a former employee, that the girls at Merry Maids are very hard working individuals that work for minimum wage, use their own vehicles, wear and tear and mileage put on those vehicles, work a minimum of three houses per day and although Merry Maids provides a "Service" to it's customers, the girls are rarely tipped. If by chance there are any complaints, they are always quick to try and remedy although the majority of the time, the complaints come from those individuals who have not maintained their home in quite some time if at all and then expect miracles to happen. The Merry Maids girls walk into all types of situations that most people would not have the stomach for so I hope this message helps not only these hard working gals but gives some insight. No job is too small/large they help those who just need a helping hand, parties before and after, holiday gatherings, elderly who just need a little help around the house, working individuals who don't have the time, moving in/out of a place etc... I was disappointed that I had to pay for another hour of service and then they didn't get to everything I had requested. They claimed the assigned person was new and when a supervisor came to check on her, they decided to take on part of the project. Which now meant, I had two people to tip. What a wonderful experience to have Merry Maids clean my home. A team of two came and cleaned everything on three levels. They were friendly and efficient . A third man came with a ladder to clean all of the light fixtures.  In a few hours they cleaned the entire house, something that would take me days to do. These folks are great !!!  After a long illness and hospital stay in early 2015 my doctors and friends all said to call Merry Maids and get some help taking care of my 3 story townhouse.  I was very resistant ... I live alone and have always managed quite well ... and having someone  else take care of things was going to be real culture shock.  They start out, after an interview and services quote, with a top to bottom clean ... which lasted most of the day ...and the house looked great.  Since I live alone and there is not much traffic, no pets, non-smoker ... they suggested once a month. So for the last year I've had a team of two very nice folks come it and take care of my house.  Occasionally the team changes and sometimes there is only a single individual ... but whoever comes in they have a quick tour and review what needs to be done.  Then I sit in my bedroom and watch TV.  It's great and they do a marvelous job !!!Ok ... some facts.1.  I read a lot of reviews about price ... the point is ... you get what you pay for.  These folks are hard working, dependable, respectful of property and thorough.  They are bonded and insured.  They use excellent products and the house is clean without smelling like a hospital.  They do a great job and are worth every penny of it.2.  Merry Maids is easy to do business with.  They give you an annual calendar of the cleaning schedule. They respond quickly to email, calendar changes, bad weather and emergencies.  They direct bill right to my MasterCard.3.  The teams are flexible in their tasks.  I might asked them to pay a little more attention to the kitchen, or not bother with one of the four bathrooms  ... no problem.  They have always been very accommodating. I have been using Merry Maids of Cameron Park for almost 3 years now, and I would have to say I have nothing but positive things to say about these girls. I usually meet them at the door and they always ask if there's anything special I'd like them to do this time...sometimes I'd like a little more emphasis on some things, and they always do that. Now that being said, you do have to be proactive and let them know what you want/need. I found that if you do that, everybody's much happier. They have a notebook on your particular house and even though you may not have the same girls every time, they are pretty standard. It's just wonderful to come in to the house after they're finished; the house smells good, cinnamonny (not a real word, I know), and all the drudgery that I don't like to do is done! You will still have to do the heavy cleaning, like windows, tile grout cleaning; they're extra services that you'll have to schedule separately if you don't want to do it yourself. I find the work quite satisfactory; I have a 4000 sq ft house with 5 bathrooms and 2 girls get it all vacuumed, dusted, mopped, and bathrooms cleaned in 2 hours, every 3 weeks. This week there were 3 girls, Kaycee, Shawna, and Amanda; they didn't need the full 2 hours and the place looks great for my guests this weekend! More...

To put it simply...  Merry Maids keeps me sane!  I'm not really sure what I would do without them.  I have 2 young children (1 and 4) and it is very hard to keep the house tidy.  I try to straighten up before they come to make their job easier but on days that it doesn't get done, it is never a problem for them to help or work around.  My husband and I both work full time so knowing that we have them come each week is a life saver. Celia, Araseli and Liliana were very thorough and very nice. The moment I walked in the door after they had been here I could see (and smell! ) the difference- it was so clean! I haven't been able to keep up with housework since my injury 4 months ago and, combine that with my two messy dogs and an even messier husband, I know those ladies had some work ahead of them.
