Merl took time on a Holiday Saturday ( the only time we could ALL be together) to spend time with us for family pictures!! He was so patient and if he felt the lighting was wrong or someone blinked at the wrong time. he took more pictures!! Had each of us look over the picture to be sure he captured what we wanted!! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
A relaxed and confident client or clients and photographer. If there is a partnership (a connection) the photographer and client can make some art.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want the final image to say? Is the session for family or individual images. Art print or documentation. Is the session for a single wall image, an album or photo collection of prints or digital images
What do you love most about your job?
The satisfaction of making images people like and want to share with others.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved photography and wanted to do more. Starting a business has given me the opportunity to meet more people and take photos of people I would not have had a chance to photograph as a hobbyist. Photography is a personal exchange of trust and ideas. I ask people to share their reasons for the images to be made and then offer suggestions of how we can make them fun and memorable.
Why should our clients choose you?
I want my clients to look great and to feel good about their experience. I'd like them to collaborate with me so they have a personal investment in the outcome.

I can post your images to a website so you can view them at your leisure. You can share that post with friends and family so they can do the same. Once you have seen the images and know your favorites I recommend we have a face to face to talk about size of the print, cropping, retouching concerns, print finish, traditional paper prints, canvas, acrylic or metal and framing.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I received my Moderna Vaccination several months ago. Masks are available as well as sanitizer. I maintain a clean environment and props used during sessions are cleaned after each session.
Digitize your 8mm film and Super 8 films.
I convert your film from it's present form to digital and then place them on DVD's or thumb drive so you can view them on your computer or TV monitor. Request a quote for pricing and length of time to complete.
Head Shots
Everyone needs to keep an updated image on their social media and for professional presentations. Session can be in studio or at your location.
Senior Photography
Your senior year is important and should be remembered for years to come with meaningful images. Let me know your wants and needs and we will visit about costuming, locations and props to use to best accomplish your goal.
Maternity Sessions
An important milestone for families is the birth of their children. An album or wall photos in the nursery are beautiful reminders of this time.
Like other sessions, we will meet to discuss location of the session, costuming and any ideas you have regarding the session.
Family Photography
The family photo can be as small as your individual family unit. Or, you can invite Mom and Dad, Uncles and Aunts, Grandma and Grampa and all the extended members to participate. Documenting the generations is as American as apple pie.
Engagement and Couples
Love is always in fashion whether you are newly engaged or are celebrating years together. Photo sessions are a part of making memories.
Babies and older children
Babies have a mystical power over us. How many hours can you sit and just watch the new baby. I can't tell you because I lost count with my own child and now with my Grandchildren. They change so quickly and as they make that transformation you want to record all those changes.
You also want to remember the relationship they have with their siblings. Capture those memories with a portrait session and prints for display on your walls.
Restore vintage photographs.
Vintage photographs change over time. They may fade, get torn, damaged by water or other liquids, become soiled by dust while in storage. Many things can happen to them over the years.
I can copy your damaged photo and then digitally repair the damage so you will have a beautiful image for display. I can generate a photo of the same size or make a different size to suit your needs.
Each photo requires an assessment to determine the amount of time required to complete the task. You will need to show me the image so I can give you an estimate.
