All I have to say is that if you are looking for a great DJ service where service is top notch Merik Music is who you need to talk to. My wife and I hired Melissa and Chad to DJ our wedding and after just the first meeting we were sold. I can honestly say that with their "Day of Coordination" that they offer, it made our day soooooooo much easier and stress free. They took so much time to get to know what was important to us and made our ideas become reality. My husband and I recently got married at Crack in the Wall Gallery in Silt, and we used Merik Music as our DJ team, also helping with day of coordination. Chad and Melissa were awesome!!! They were easy to communicate with, Melissa is responsive to any and all questions leading up to wedding day, and they offer so much in their package of services. We were happy with our ceremony microphone and sound system set up, the reception set up and music was great, and Melissa's help with day of coordination and M.C.ing was fantastic!! Melissa and Chat at Merik Music are great! They really took the time to get to know us as a couple and really understood how our special day was designed and planned! They are two wonderful people who truly love to do what they do! It was amazing to meet with them and have them at as our DJ at our wedding. Chad was full of great and entertaining ideas and we could tell that he was truly interested in the type of music we liked and the kind of atmosphere we envisioned for our wedding. Chad and Melissa felt like family attending the wedding! They are great people with a passion for what they do and it was really great to work with them. It's hard to overstate how incredible Merik Music was for my wedding! Honestly, I was worried that as reasonably as they were priced, there had to be something wrong. NOPE! Perfect DJ at an extremely reasonable price.First of all, they agreed to meet and sit down with me just to introduce themselves and get to know me. I really appreciated that. Then, when I was planning and sending them extremely long and detailed notes, they read them completely and listened to everything I told them. When it came time to pay, they made payment extremely easy and the deposit to book them was only $50.At my actual wedding, they set up two sound systems because my ceremony and reception were apart from one another. At the ceremony, they played music and provided mics for sound. At the reception, they played a great mix of music (including all of the requests I wanted) and truly ran the show. They were the perfect team, using the timeline I sent them to run the whole night and make sure it went on time or was delayed if we needed. Numerous people came up to me and commented on how the mix of dance music was great, even people who usually aren't huge dance people.Melissa is the sweetest person. Merik Music did a wonderful job at our wedding...we could not have asked for a better DJ team. Melissa and Chad truly love what they do, and it shows in their performance. You can talk to them about any topic that concerns you, and they will do their best to make sure that the topic is no longer a concern. They will make sure that your day goes smoothly, and how you envision your wedding day. Chad and Melissa will make sure everything flows in a timely fashion (which is HUGE!). When you pay for a service or product you want the person who you are paying to exceed your expectations. In todays age, to many people are only willing to give you the bare minimum, even when you are paying them. This is an unfortunate product of todays entitled society that has become accustomed to doing as little as possible. So imagine our surprise when Chad and Melissa of Merik Music went above and beyond to help make a 40th surprise birthday party PERFECT. From the moment I made contact with them they were prompt, professional, courteous and accommodating. Their portal allowed us to plan as much, or as little, of the music selection for the evening that we wanted. We were assured that Merik Music deejays would fill in any blanks and keep the guests moving and entertained. They were early to set-up and test their equipment, they were dressed accordingly, they were respectful of all guests in attendance, and they stayed long beyond the contracted time to make sure the party ended when the time was right, not when the money ran out. I would HIGHLY recommend paying the extra for the lighting option they offer. It was the perfect finishing touch that made the entire event seem like we were in a big city vs. good 'ole Grand Junction. In short, Merik music delivered on every promise! I can't think of one thing I would have changed or asked them to do different. What a pleasant surprise it was to have them exceed our expectations and not just expect to be paid for their mere presence. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to family and friends. Many nurses, doctors, and local business owners were present that evening and they all commented on the quality of the entertainment. You guys truly are a class act.
